- Chapter 304 - Chapter 304 Diane, get one thing clear
Chapter 304: Diane, get one thing clear Chapter 304: Diane, get one thing clear “Oh my, that’s so cute.” Diane fawned over Domus as it stretched its wings.
She had never really seen a monster up close, since that the thing she was trying to hide from to have ended up in Big Stach’s clutches.
“You said it’s name is Domus?” Diane asked and Alice nodded.
“Yeah, and it’s a he, by the way.” “Really?
I couldn’t tell.
It looks so adorable.” She tickled its chin, and that made Domus wag its tail in excitement.
It got so excited that it ended it falling on its back, waiting to be scratched on its belly.
Diane’s face flushed at how cute it was.
“Who’s a good monster?” She scratched its belly and it cawed.
She treated it like a baby.
“Yes you are, yes you are.” Domus was about two times bigger than Diane, but it still stood to say that it was still a baby in mind.
It was growing so fast that Alice wondered what Leo was really feeding him.
The mana stones they had gotten were quite a lot.
She had to spare a lot of cash in her ring, but thankfully, the outing didn’t take too long.
It was a night market, so they were back as soon as they were gone and she married her bed again.
“I don’t even know if there’s any left.
Well, I’ll leave that to Leo, I guess.” “What’s that?” Diane asked, raising her head from Domus’ embrace.
“Oh, it’s nothing.
Shall we clear the top floor?” Alice asked her.
“I’m sure we’ve given them enough time to call from reinforcement.” “Yeah, let’s go.” Diane said.
“Domus, you’re gonna eat all these bad guys, are you?” “Nah, don’t let him eat those crispy things.” Alice said, her eyes suddenly glinting with a certain despicable flare.
“If we want them to suffer, he’s gotta bite their heads off while they’re still alive.” Diane looked at her weirdly.
“Don’t taint my poor baby, okay?” She said and Alice glanced at her.
“He’s mine, not yours.
And stop delaying already.
We still have to hang out properly before you leave.” “Hey, but doesn’t this feel like the good old days where trades between us are made fairly and we just have to watch each other’s back for the good of ourselves?” Diane mentioned and Alice paused, stopping in her tracks.
“Diane, get one thing clear,” she said, turning towards her.
“Those days were never good, the trades between us can hardly be considered fair since I got away with most of the good things and…
This isn’t like that time.
We aren’t watching each other’s back for the good of ourselves this time.

In fact, I don’t think anyone’s watching anyone’s back.
We’re both venting out on the evil of this world for its cruel works.” She seriously stated and Diane stared at her in silence.
But that silence only stayed for five seconds as Diane burst out laughing and Alice followed suit.
“Did you watch that Romi movie by chance?
You sound just like her.” Diane said and Alice nodded.
“Yeah, you know that heroic speech?” She laughed.
“It cracks me up every time.
But…
Her words were always true and so are kind right now.” “I get it.” Diane said and stretched her hand out.
“And though we aren’t watching each other’s backs for the sakes of ourselves, we’re still working together as a team.
And you gotta admit, we are great together.” Alice was about to shake her but stopped, her face squeezing in a cringe way as she protected her body and exclaimed, “I’m straight,” Diane got irked and smacked her head.
“So am I, asshole!” Alice laughed.
She just pulled out Clarissa’s words without even thinking.
Hm, she wondered what Clarissa was up to on a fine Saturday like this.
“Alright, let’s get to the top floor.” Alice said.
“Domus, let’s go.” Domus walked behind them and then Alice got a notification.
She picked out her phone and checked to see it was from Micheal.
It read, ‘Don’t forget our date, milady.’ It brought a smile to Alice’s face.
‘Date, my ass.
He’s always like this.’ she thought, but then another text came in, and this time, it was from Damian.
‘It looks like their boss is here but they aren’t going in.
It looks like they’re waiting.’ Damian sied from his hiding place, keeping his presence hidden thanks to the coat he was wearing; if not, he might’ve exposed himself thanks to his nervousness.
‘There’s a lot of them too.’ “Diane, it looks like their boss showed up already.
But they’re likely waiting for us downstairs.” Alice said to Diane.
“Then, let’s get this over with and…” Another notification came in from Damian.
‘They’re waiting at a safe distance.’ “They’re waiting at a safe distance?” Diane asked, seeing the text with Alice.
“Are they trying to ambush us or something?” Alice raised her head.
She didn’t know if they were planning an ambush, but if they were staying at a safe distance, then it only meant they were being cautious.
Or…
Were they expecting something ‘big’ to happen?
They arrived at the top floor after taking out a few more guys and feeding them to Domus.
He seemed to like fresh meat a lot, but he was not very fond of chewing, so it took a little while before they arrived at the top floor.
It looked like there was no one there.
But just as Diane was about to take a step into the open range, Alice stopped her and placed her index finger across her lips, giving her the silence signal.
Diane nodded, and then Alice used her third eye to take a look around.
Who would’ve expected that all over that top floor, there were bombs positioned in every corner?
There were about five doors on the top floor, and each had a bomb installed inside.
Once the door opened, the bomb would go off.
That was the case for four rooms, and as for the fifth room that stood at the end of the place…
Alice’s eyebrows furrowed…
There were over three kids there and a single man holding them hostage.
Strapped to those three kids were bombs and the single man standing guard held the remote.
“Son of a bitch!” She cussed under her breath.
“What is it?” Diane asked and Alice turned to her.
“Diane, we’re about to take a risk that will very much cost you your life, but the lives of three kids also depend on it.” “Speak English, please.” Diane said and Alice exhaled before saying, “Diane, there are three bombs strapped to three kids and the guy controlling those bombs is inside the room as well.
I doubt we’ll be able to get the controls from him before the bombs go off, so…” “Wow, Alice, when did you become smart?” Diane asked with a teasing grin and Alice smacked her.
“Focus!” “Hehe.” She stuck her tongue out.
“Anyway, the point is that we’re going to charge in and save the kids first, stripping the bomb off them in less than a second.
Then, you grab them and head out the window on Domus’ back.
