- Chapter 309 - Chapter 309 I should get a bucket size next
Chapter 309: I should get a bucket size next Chapter 309: I should get a bucket size next By the time the agency got to the scene of the commotion, they found a messy sight.
An unexplainable sight.
While there were a lot of burnt bodies, there was one that looked like they had been crucified and burned to a crisp.
The burnt crucified body had been nailed to a wall.
They had no idea if he was actually nailed or if there was another component leaving him in that state, but they assumed he was nailed.
They found, in two other locations, the same conditions.
It looked like a terrorist attack.
A neat one since the terrorists left no trail to lead back to them.
It meant their numbers were small and they were working swiftly so as not to get caught in the crime scene.
But strangely enough, the time frame of these attacks seemed to coincide with the sudden appearance of unconscious kids in the hospital.
It was as if they had appeared out of nowhere, according to witnesses’ testimonies.
This situation was reported to the head of the agency, Noah, and further investigation was being requested, hoping to find the terrorists who were causing such commotions and deal with them according, but Noah declined all requests.
“Yes, I know it looks like I’m trying to cover up the tracks of the so-called terrorist, but let me tell you something…
Yes.
Yes, I am trying to cover their tracks, whoever they are.” He coldly said to the commissioner on the phone.
“They seem like a lovely group who wants nothing but justice.” He twirled and played with his hair as he answered, “Oh, no.
I wasn’t involved.
Not at all.
I’ve been here the whole time.” He said.
“I’m quite the busy man, you know.” He glanced at the workload he had on his desk.
Documents and files, heaping up like a mountain since he had neglected his work for a while and went sailing the seas to take care of sea monsters that had appeared.
‘Though, I wish I had been there instead of here.’ he sulked.
It must’ve been fun taking on those bad guys without a shred of mercy.
Alice was really something.
“You want to know why I declined?
Well, it’s simple: these so-called terrorists apparently saved kids and helped us get rid of some vermins walking with human faces.
We should be thanking them, haha.
No, I don’t want to hear anymore.
Leave them be and that’s final.
If you want to go after them, then be my guest, but I have no hand in your pursuit.” He cut the call by placing down the telephone and then laughed.

“Alice, oh, dear Alice.
You’re leaving quite a mess for me to take care of.” He said and snickered.
“But, you have my thanks.
You did what the agency was too lazy to do.” He swirled his chair around and rolled it towards the see-through wall.
“Hm, what could you be doing now that you’ve accomplished something so big?” It was obvious.
Stuffing her face with ice cream.
“Gosh, that’s cold.” Alice exclaimed.
“And so good.
I should get a bucket size next.” “Is this you celebrating your victory or you just being a foodie?” Diane asked over a laugh as she watched Alice stuff her face in ice cream.
“How about both?” She smiled widely and Diane shook her head.
Damian watched Alice and then moved his hand towards her face, swiping off the ice cream she had on her cheek.
“You’re messy.” He said, smiling at her and she watched him lick it.
Diane and Alice stared at him in surprise, and Damian, who hadn’t realized what he had done, stared at them, confused.
But as soon as he realized it, his face went as red as a tomato.
“I…
I’m sorry.
I did that subconsciously.” He said and Alice ended up laughing.
Before they came for ice cream, they went over to Diane’s place to get changed.
They couldn’t exactly go around with blood stains on their clothes while they smelled like burnt flesh.
Luckily, Samson wasn’t at home, and Alice said that Diane was living her life like a dreamhouse Barbie.
“At least we got one thing in common,” she muttered, staring at the pink room.
Even though pink wasn’t exactly the color she liked her room to be, she met it like that and the owner of the house was adamant on letting it stay that way.
Well, she had gotten used to it and it no longer gave her that uncomfortable feeling, so seeing Diane’s room, she did not feel blinded.
But how could Diane paint her room pink after spending that torturous time in the pink room of reflection?
She wanted to ask but shook it off.
Maybe it might’ve been incredibly unbearable for her but somewhat manageable for a person who was fond of that color.
So, they both got changed since Damian wasn’t exactly dirty.
He sat in the living room and waited patiently.
“Alright, we’re all set.” He heard Diane’s voice and looked up to find Alice walking out dressed all…
Alice.
In the first place, she did wear a skirt, so…
She didn’t look too different in the dress Diane forced on her.
It was just that…
Diane did her makeup.
“Seriously, we’re going for ice cream so why do I need this?” Alice asked, pouting her lips in annoyance.
“Whether ice cream or not, you need to look like a delicate lady and avoid suspicions, okay?
We were being careful, but who’s to say you weren’t spotted during the time we were fleeing the crime scene?” Diane asked her, pressing her hands on her shoulders.
“And you’re such a big shot too.
You didn’t have your mask on, so…” “Alright, I got it.” Alice said, shrugging Diane’s hands off.
“Let’s go get the ice cream already and then eat.
I’m starting to get hungry.” “Sure,” she clasped her hands together in delight.
“Whatever you want, captain.” “And stop calling me that, already.” She rolled her eyes away and then looked at Damian who was staring at her in awe.
“What’s got you bedazzled?
Let’s start heading out.” She said and he snapped out of it.
“Yes, yes, of course.
Let’s get…
Let’s get going.” With his stuttering words, Diane was able to catch something and her lips curled up in a snicker.
Her eyebrows arched and her lips twisted.
“Oh my, seems like pretty boy’s got his eyes on the price.” She flipped her hair behind her back.
“But it’s too bad it had to be Alice.
The poor boy’s going to have his heart broken for sure.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Okay, guys, thank you for reading this far and leas, do vote and comment on your thoughts of my book and the progress, thank you so much
