Micheal handed Alice her black mask just before they arrived at the portal and then she exhaled.

“Alright, let’s do this. Again.” She said and smiled at him before wearing the mask.

“Just in case you have plans of impaling anyone, do let me know beforehand.” Micheal said to her and she scoffed.

“Then I better tell you now. I’m going to kill a few bastards and destroy some places. So, this is a quick heads up.”

Alice was in no need of information networks. Sure, they were very handy but in a business such as a black auction, she needed to keep to herself and trust no one, even though money was involved.

The black auction would only find more ways to sell Demon blood to the highest bidder, distributing them all over the world, and that was not a safe distance in the slightest.

Best to take them off business and kill the supplier.

As they entered the devil’s shrine, Alice suddenly dragged Micheal towards the red district.

“Wait, Alice, weren’t you against this?” He asked but she rolled her eyes in her mask.

“Oh, shut it. I need you for something so we need to go somewhere private.”

Micheal was confused, though. Why take him to a place like that in the first place? She had been so mad that she pressured him when he mentioned it. Or wait, was it what he said about not being able to hold back that got her mad?

He could not process her way of thinking so he just followed along, hoping to figure it out at the end of it.

The same vulgar and sultry scenery greeted them as they stepped foot into the brothel.

“Hey, pay for one room.” Alice said to him since he had been the one to do the talking and paying the last time, and he nodded.

Still curious and a bit confused, he went ahead and followed her orders. Once that was done, he led her to the room that had been designated for them.

“So, Alice, what did you…?”

“Pull up your mask a bit,” Alice said, taking off hers and his mind went to the fact that she possibly wanted to kiss him.

Why else would she ask him to pull up his mask?

‘Ah, are we really going to do something like that in a place like this? It would be a crime, wouldn’t it? Alice is still quite a minor, being 17, but… If she wants it, can I really refuse?’ he gulped. ‘My heart keeps racing the more I think about it.’

“Hey, what are you thinking?” Alice asked, knocking on his mask. “Are you going to pull it up or not? We don’t have all day, you know.”

“Oh, right.” He pulled up his mask a bit and before he knew it, she kissed him.

He was at a loss for words. She indeed wanted to kiss him. But… Why now? And in a place like this.

Alice subconsciously wrapped her arms around his neck and his hands fell on her slim waist. Gosh, this was very unexpected, and as much as he wanted to be cautious in case of any attack that targeted either of them, he could not think straight.

It was as if her lips made him melt. His perfect state of mind was sapped and all that remained was the lingering pleasure that followed his lips and tongue.

“Hah,” Alice slowly unhooked her arms from around his neck, achieving what she wanted, but then, Micheal grabbed her arm and deepened the kiss.

He wasn’t satisfied yet. His taste was yet to be satiated.

He wanted to sink in Alice’s warmth a bit more… A bit longer. His mind, which always seemed foggy and in a mess, always became clear when she locked lips with his.

Intimacy with her was what gave him peace of mind for some reason. And it was just with her, no one else.

But then, he noticed a different source of energy spiraling within her. It was very familiar but before he could even think much of it, Alice had not his lip.

It wasn’t enough to make him bleed but it was enough to bring him back to his senses.

“Have you had… Enough?” Alice asked, panting as she tried to catch her breath from the deep and long kiss.

It had been so sensual and satisfying that she was very certain it would end up leading to something else. Her knees would grow weak and her body would go out of control.

She couldn’t afford to be in that situation. Not right now, at least.

“Thanks for your help, Micheal.” She said but he was confused. How did he help her?

He was still sensing the different source of energy within her. It appeared once they had deepened the kiss to some degree, before she sought to let go the first time.

What was it? And… Was that why she decided to go for a kiss all of a sudden?

“I’ll be heading out now?” Alice said, putting on her mask. “Let’s… Meet up here, at the brothel after two hours. How’s that?”

“Why the brothel?” Michael asked, adjusting his mask properly and she smirked.

“I don’t know, you seem like you weren’t satisfied yet. As a thank you for helping me out, I’ll…” She stepped closer towards him and said, “Offer one more kiss. But after that, you’ll have to take responsibility for taking me home.”

Micheal’s face flushed and he looked away.

How in the world was she saying such a thing to him without thinking of the consequences? Did she know that her words were only going to end up riling him up? He was a man, for crying out loud, and a beautiful lady just happened to be in the same room as he was in a brothel where they were surrounded by lewd noises… Just…

“Alice, I don’t think I can…” He turned to look at her, only to find out she was gone.

Ah, so that was why she had no fear of saying that. She planned to run as soon as she let those words out of her lips.

Micheal covered his masked face with his hands in shame. His face was already covered by the mask but he felt he needed to cover up his shame even more.

“Ah, her actions remind me of a seductress.” He mumbled. He did not want to think so of her but among the records he had read, she was more likely acting like a succubus. “Only… Her heart is far purer than that demon.”

Alice had a plan.

The last time she entered the auction building, her stars decreased significantly. And though there was still no one of her level, she felt she was too weak then to be able to impact a proper damage if she tried, since the facility was well equipped.

After discovering that her stats were boosted significantly after a kiss, she decided to use that to her advantage and kissed Micheal.

He was probably confused but she could not think of a way to explain to him, so she just carried him on, hoping to reward him again once she was done taking care of her business.

Her only hope was for the stars to remain boosted for about an hour.

‘Hm, I think they all go back to normal after I get a good night’s sleep.’ she thought to herself. ‘And since I wake up hours later, I don’t know for sure when they go back to normal. Let’s just hope they stay like that for two hours.’

Alice felt so light and so powerful.

But without Leo, she did not know fire sure how much her stats had been boosted.

‘I guess each person has their functioning system for a reason.’ she thought and sighed.

She just had to be careful since she might end up breaking something if she wasn’t careful with her strength.

Good thing she would be a little bit suppressed once she entered the building. She couldn’t take much more of what was swirling inside her.

“Welcome,” the guards in front welcomed her as she walked in.

As she stepped in, she felt her power decrease a bit but it was just that. She would have to wait till she reached the second suppressed environment.

But just as she was about to step into the action hall, Vector spotted her and approached in a hurry.

“Oh my, our esteemed VIP is here.” He said and she turned to him.

He was looking as round as ever.

“Miss Black, we have been waiting for you.” He bowed and she nodded.

“And I had been waiting for your call for centuries.” Alice said to him with a little displeasure in her tone as she folded her arms, causing him to sweat in anxiety.

This was her going into character and exerting her dominance.

“But relax. Let us not dwell on that since I got the call nevertheless. I was rather too busy to have attended to it if it had been scheduled anytime sooner.” She said.

Yeah, busy with school, that is. There was no way she was going to let him know that she was a high school student.

“Anyway, I am heading in before the auction starts.” She pointed at the hall.

“Ah, yes. Miss. Of course, but not here. Since you are a VIP client now, you deserve only the best treatment.” He said, rubbing his hands together as he tried to curry favor from her. “I will take you to the VIP booth.”

Alice tilted her head as she asked, “Where?”
