Chapter 325: I guess we’ll have to change our plans to lay low
Leo had been working hard on the other side, trying to figure out who would’ve possibly been messing with his system, when he discovered a variety of changes that had not been done by outside interference.
The system was never designed to be given to demons, it could not measure demon energy or process anything related to demons. But after it had an unprecedented encounter with Alice’s demon energy mixed with the saint’s power, it started to undergo changes.
A system had not been granted to Alice yet but with Leo’s interference, a virtual one being managed by Leo was assigned.
It wasn’t permanent but for the time being, before it was time to receive her original one.
And that system, being managed directly by the creator itself, went through a certain evolution.
It evolved to help with this particular Human’s natural demon energy. So, to help Alice’s future growth, the system had a special feature suddenly added by its artificial functions.
In other words, Leo had created one heck of an adaptable system. But it looked like this change would only occur for Alice. Every other person had the same system functions and no special features were added.
Aside from the title given to only a select few in the world, the rest were normal.
But Leo wanted to make sure this feature was passed on to the system that Alice would gain later. He could not guarantee that she would get these special functions as well.
So, he went to work, shutting himself from any communication with Alice or what she was doing so he could focus on what he was doing.
He had to connect with Alice’s future system but then he saw something shocking. The title… It was still there.
Normally, after a change or several events, the future is meant to change, but… Looking at her title… He got a really bad feeling.
If her system still had that ominous title hinting at the end of this whole play, then it only meant that what they had done so far had not changed the future outcome.
Then, was the second calamity going to be more disastrous than he thought? If so, they had to stop playing and upped their game.
He could take a peek into the future after all these changes, but that would only cause severe penalties.
Being on Earth was already one thing, but trying to use his divine powers as a constellation, he would just be asking for trouble from the world’s order.
“I guess we’ll have to change our plans to lay low.” Leo exclaimed. “I’ve done what I can here. I bet it’s late right now. I wonder what Alice’s doing.” He rubbed his neck. “She’s probably met up with the supplier by now. So, is she having dinner after creating a ruckus?”
He decided to get out of the space, but as soon as he opened his eyes, he found Alice underneath Micheal.
Sure, Alice was a bit ‘wild’, and she made it point blank that she would not stop going around kissing whoever she wanted to, but this… Why were they lying in bed in such a place?
It looked like they were planning to do much more than just kissing.
And that thought provoked him. Even if they weren’t planning to go they far, the environment was the problem. He could not hear the moans from other rooms but he was certain various ‘things’ were going on around them.
“What are you two doing?” he asked and Alice pushed Micheal off right away.
He landed on the floor because she did not exactly control her strength because of how shocked she was.
“Would you care to explain why you two are kissing in the red light district? What did you plan to do afterward? Strip?” Leo asked harshly but Alice shook her head.
“No, not at all.” She said, and bit her lips softly.
How was he supposed to believe that when she had a face that said she was still not satisfied?
She was biting her lips so lightly while trying to avoid eye contact when she was actually looking at Michael who had assumed his position on the floor.
“Alice, I told you, you can’t be reckless.” Leo said. “And I told you not to tempt a man so much. I get you’re strong but desire is also a strong thing that can make you go weak in an instant.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Alice asked, finally acting normal.
“It means you can get yourself in trouble if you keep going like this.” He said and grabbed her hand. “Come on, let’s go. You’re done here.” He said, but at that instant, he frowned heavily, his forehead creasing in disgust. “What is that smell?”

Alice paused. Oh no, did Leo also notice it?
Guess she really did have the stench of death on her.
“What smell?” But she decided to feign ignorance.
“Alice…” Leo got closer and started sniffing her. It wasn’t exactly on her but… The air around her. “… What did you do while I was gone?”
Micheal got up from the floor, dusting himself.
“Are you okay, Micheal?” Alice asked. It was a bit late to be asking that since she pushed him down a few minutes ago but he didn’t mind.
“I’m fine. I’m not that fragile.” He laughed, adjusting his mask back to its original position. “But I can tell this is my cue to leave, so I’ll get going now.” He bowed his head. “I enjoyed my time with you, Alice. Let’s go to the beach again sometime.”
“Hm, yeah.” Alice nodded lightly and watched him head towards the door. “Oh, and can you leave the sound barrier on?” She asked but Leo said,
“No need!” He snapped his fingers, replacing the sound barrier Micheal had put up with his own. “I’ve taken care of it.”
“You’re quite formidable,” Micheal said, with a taunting gaze. “For a familiar.”
He walked out without Leo saying a word to him. Leo had no business with Micheal.
He turned to Alice.
“So tell me, what in the world do you smell like death right now.”
