Chapter 336: Playing PS games on the TV
Alice had no idea Leo’s idea of ‘spending your Sunday wisely’ had to do with anything other than staying in bed.
And by that, he wanted her to try playing a PS game.
“The heck!” She exclaimed, flinging the playing pad in her hand. “I didn’t know you were into these sorts of things, Leo.” She said and Leo shrugged.
“I just saw it somewhere online and ordered it.” He said, taking up the second control.
“With my money, no doubt.” She said and he smirked. He moved closer to her ear and asked,
“Want me to start charging you for my services?”
Alice’s ear flushed and she covered it.
“No thanks!” She immediately said and he laughed.
“I thought so.” He said. “But don’t worry, it’ll be my first time just as it is yours. So, let’s try not to die early,” he smirked once more but Alice did not like the sound of that.
Even if it was Leo’s first time, there was no telling if he would even be bad at games. After all, he basically had the brain of a computer so she was certain he would get used to it in no time.
“So, you two haven’t played games before?” Damian asked and Alice nodded, though she pouted about it.
“Tsk, I would if I had the chance.” She said. “Not all of us had the luxury of having a TV, not to talk of a play station.”
It was a miracle she was given a phone, though it was a run-down one that was only useful for calls.
Damian pursed his lips and apologized,
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that.” He said but she waved it off.
“Well, it’s okay.” She said. “But more importantly, pft, what’s up with your eyes?” She asked and he blinked his puffy eyes.
Thanks to crying his heart out in his brother’s arm, he had gotten himself a pair of pufferfish eyes.
Alice tried not to laugh but it was so funny.
“Did you have a heart-to-heart with Devon?” She asked, relaxing her back on the couch. “I could tell he was being a bit off and wasn’t his usual brother complex self. So, how did it go?”
“He apologized,” Damian said, rubbing his eyes. “And said a bunch of stuff too.” He sniffed while smiling in relief. “They were the things I wanted to hear the most.”
Alice stared at that smile of relief on his face. He looked so silly but… She reached her hand towards him and softly brushed his hair back… He was handsomely silly.
“Now, her rid of those puffy eyes. You’re already ruining your brand-new handsome face. I can’t get the old baby face back, so I should at least soak this one in, right?” She smiled and he blushed.
“Yeah, you… You’re right.” He said and actuated his healing.
A bunch of transparent green plus symbols appeared next to his eyes as he healed himself.
Alice was glad for him.
“Come on, it’s started.” Leo said and Alice turned to the big screen.
“Oh, right. What were the rules again?” She asked, but the game had already started.
It was a special edition awakened fighting game. But she knew nothing about games so how was she going to win that?
Damian watched as she struggled, not knowing which buttons to press and it was quite a heartwarming sight.
It was still bright outside but inside the house was dark, to give them a better playing experience. All the blinds were drawn and the lights turned off.

The only lights that were on were the ones in the kitchen where Mark was cooking and Devon was helping out.
They let the kids play as much as they could.
Alice lost three times in a row to Leo who had gotten the hang of the controls as soon as he started.
She insisted that it was cheating since she was playing with someone as intelligent as him so she got out of it.
Damian played next. He was great at it, but he only got the first win, where Leo observed his playing style and used it against him in the next few rounds.
“So, even a veteran could not beat Leo, as expected.” Alice said with knowing eyes.
“What can I say?” Leo shrugged. “I’m just that good.” But Alice stepped on his side.
“Oh, get a grip you cheating bastard. It’s only because you have computer for brains.” She flared at him.
“You’re just jealous.” Leo said, and from there, steamed up a heated argument with both of them pulling at each other’s hair.
Damian was kind of used to this sight already but weren’t they going a little bit extreme? He could practically see their hairs flying about the place.
“Would you mind if I joined in?” They heard Devon’s voice and stopped their catfight.
“Sure,” Alice said. “And if you lose, you’re more than welcome to sulk in my arms,” she said and Devon actually liked that reward for losing.
Maybe he would just lose but he didn’t want to look bad in front of his little brother and Alice.
So, he would give it his best.
And yet, his best still couldn’t beat Leo.
“There, there,” Alice patted his back as he sat on the floor and laid his head on her thigh, sulking. “I knew it wouldn’t be easy, Leo’s just too good at it.”
Mark got out of the kitchen and saw what was going on, with Devon resting his head on Alice’s thigh while she comforted him.
“What’s going on?” He asked and they turned to him.
“Do you know how to play PS games?” Alice asked him, and he brushed the back of his neck, feeling a bit embarrassed.
“Well, only a little. I didn’t really have time to think of them since I had to run a lot of part-time jobs back when I was still in high school,” he explained as he walked towards them and sat on the floor, folding his legs. “But I know the basics enough to be able to play,”
“That should be good enough.” She said. “Try your best against Leo,”
As soon as Mark saw that he was playing against Leo, he planned to use all he had to win him. He wanted to beat him but… He failed woefully and was shamed.
“Oh, no need to feel so bad,” Alice said, beaconing him to come closer and get comforted. “We all lost to him.” He sat next to her and dropped his head on her shoulder as she wanted. She patted his back.
‘Alice’s scent.’ Mark thought, his heart gradually racing. Maybe losing wasn’t such a bad thing after all. He closed his eyes to sink into it.
“Let’s just admit it. No one can win against Leo.” Alice said as she sighed in utter defeat.
“I’m just that good.” Leo said, finally placing down the controller. “Should we play something else?”
“No!” They all chorused and he scratched his ear.
“I get it! I get it! You don’t have to yell in my ear.” He said but they could see the proud smirk on his lips.
He was feeling so proud that even in their own game, he won so easily.
It was so unfair.
“By the way,” Mark spoke up, lifting his head. “The food is ready,”
