Chapter 337: He was so pretty
The food was served, and they all ate, but of course, they tried not to rub Alice off her large portion.
After eating, Alice decided to take a walk around the neighborhood and Mark decided to accompany her.
Devon decided they would accompany her as well and then head home from there, thanking her once more for the arm he got back.
And she used that opportunity to warn him from going into any gate for the time being. He nodded, understandably and hugged her.
Mark could only secretly grit his teeth in envy as he watched her smile in his embrace.
They caught quite a bit of attention as they walked around the neighborhood. Four incredibly handsome guys and one beautiful girl in their midst.
They were no different from supermodels and thanks to Alice ignoring the eyes on them, they were able to have fun.
The plan was to take a stroll but Alice ended up entering a variety of shops, picking up trinkets that seemed to match each of them very well.
For Mark, she picked out a key chain for his car key. For Devon, she picked out a phone key chain. She just felt it suited him if he had that trinket dangling from his phone while he made a call or something.
For Leo, she just got him a pair of sunglasses because, at the moment, he was attracting the most attention with his eyes that had still not normalized to fool the masses.
He just looked like he was walking around with tiny stars twinkling in his eyes.
And for Damian, ah, she got more than one for him. For his hair that had grown so much, she got him a rubber ring and personally tied his hair back, but there were still a few strands that made his sight uncomfortable, so she bought a hair clip and clipped the strands of his hair up.
It was pretty. He was so pretty that she lost her mind for a moment and planted a kiss on his forehead to everyone, including her and Leo, in shock.
Yeah, he probably saw that coming in the long run.
“Ah, I think I got carried away for a moment.” She exclaimed, scratching the back of her hair and Damian flushed. “But look at him, isn’t he adorable?”
Mark looked away, trying to hide his jealous eyes, and Devon… He had just begun to realize that Alice’s neutral feelings for all of them included his little brother.
And whatever she could do with them, she could also do with him.
So, in that case, didn’t that mean he’d have to look out for his brother as a possible contender for Alice’s heart?
As soon as he thought that, he slapped his face with both hands.
‘Am I crazy? Just what was I thinking just now?’
Alice saw that everyone was acting weird and asked,
“Was it really that surprising?”
They did not answer and Leo decided to take it up on himself to change the topic.
“While you’re on about doing whatever you like,” He said, “Don’t forget you’re still kind of popular.” He picked up a nose mask and put it on for her. “And you too,” he pointed at Devon, handing him a nose mask. “Cover up. We’re already having a crowd on our necks thanks to you two.”
“Oh, I forgot about that,” Alice said, pushing down her nose mask a bit. “I thought my face would’ve been forgotten by now, given the trending news was the ‘terrorist’ attack.”
“Ah, so now you’re admitting that you’re a terrorist.” Leo said and she punched his shoulder.
“Hey, I’m only saying what’s going on in the news,” she said, pouting her lips. “Besides, no one will ever know the attack was carried out by me, Diane, and Damian,” as soon as she said that, Damian gasped, and Alice froze.
Wait, that was supposed to be a secret, wasn’t it? The fact that Damian was involved… She slowly turned her neck towards Devon whose eyes had gone dark… Was supposed to be a secret.
“What did you say?” Devon asked. “Are you saying my little brother killed people?”
“No, it’s nothing like that.” She immediately shook her head. “Damian didn’t kill anyone. He was just on the lookout and…” She paused.

Devon wouldn’t understand unless she explained clearly.
“…why don’t we find somewhere to sit and I’ll explain clearly to you what happened yesterday.”
So, they ended up in a cafe, and while they all sat at one table, Leo, the fifth of them, sat at another table, backing them.
He could hear regardless, and since he already knew what happened, he did not pay much attention to them.
So, while Alice recounted the ‘terrorist’ attack to them, he got approached by several people, mostly girls, who thought he was a supermodel and wanted to take pictures with him.
He declined all of it of course. He didn’t need a situation where his picture would circulate throughout the world.
He knew how the Internet worked, and he knew how dangerous it could be, so he decided to be cautious.
Alice explained to Devon why there was a so-called terrorist attack in the first place and why she and Diane had to get their hands dirty, but she assured him that Damian did not take a life. His job was just to look out for in case others arrived.
Devon, trembling with great anger, clenched his fists and gritted his teeth at the abomination those people were doing while under the covers.
To think such an organization that mistreated human lives existed. He would’ve loved to get rid of them himself.
But the fact that his brother wasn’t fully involved eased him.
“Alright, I understand why it had to be done.” He said, mentioning nothing about Damian’s involvement.
“So, we’re cool, right?” Alice asked, sipping on her cold chocolate tea.
“Yeah, I guess so.”
“Then, let’s start heading back.” She said as she finished the content of her tea. She slowly got up and the rest got up with her. “I need to sleep,”
Meanwhile, somewhere in the dark organization, news of the mass killing, theft, and destruction of the auction house reached all major sponsors, and they were not happy about it.
More like enraged.
“Who would dare?!” Screamed the bald man with the dark sunglasses. He punched his desk, breaking it in two but he was still not satisfied. “Just who would dare mess with the auction house that all underground operations look up to so much? I want answers!”
But of course, they couldn’t get any answers.
Alice had her face covered with her black mask and even if it was revealed, there were no cameras that caught her in the act.
Thanks to the gravity force she had initiated, all working devices short-circuited.
There were no prints left to trace her back and… Thanks to the commotion, her steps couldn’t be traced when she left the underground.
In other words, unless the dead came back to life, there was no way of knowing who the real culprit was. Thus, she was Scot-free.
Alice scratched her ear and said,
“Hm, I think someone’s talking about me.”
