Chapter 344: A pushover
Leo looked at it and then laughed. No one would believe that her dainty arms were far stronger than any macho man out there.
“Are you relieved now?” He asked and she nodded.
“Yeah, I feel better now.” She asked. “And I don’t want to kill Elizabeth either,” she said, her eyes coldly and dangerously fixed on Elizabeth. “She can live with the way she is now. I think I’ve given her enough reasons to bow her head whenever I walk past her now.”
“See? It’s crucial to use your brain.” Leo said, tapping on her head and she rolled her eyes. “Death is far too lenient. Let her live in shame.”
Just then, Damian got back carrying a bunch of snacks he got from the snacks store. The cafeteria wasn’t done cooking so there was no food.
So, he settled for getting these snacks and hoped Alice would at least feel a little bit better.
But by the time he got back, he found Alice laughing with Leo. Guess she had gotten over it.
And it looked like Leo was the only one who could cheer her up with minimal effort.
It saddened him for some reason. He couldn’t do anything worthwhile to help her. Not even a word of comfort. Maybe he should’ve bad-mouthed Elizabeth with Alice.
But that might’ve made her even more annoyed recalling those insults and she’d try to kill her once more. That’d be on him.
He sighed. What exactly was he good at?
“Hey,” a guy from their class called out to him and he turned his head to find him approaching with two others ‘like him’. “Did you go to get snacks for the class? How generous of you.”
They smirked feeling proud with their average looks and barely anything to write about height. Since Damian had suddenly gotten a glow-up and was attracting all the attention of the girls, most of the guys in their class were starting to feel inferior.
They were all B-class awakeneds so why did he have to be so distinctively handsome? He was literally a supermodel at this point.
But no matter, even if he was the most handsome man in the world, so long he had that timid character that made him a pushover, they would use him till they felt better. Show him who’s boss?
They would put him in his place before he got cocky.
They were mistaking Damian for a pushover but they were damn wrong. Though, if this had been a few days ago, he might’ve actually gone ahead with what they wanted but…
One of them dropped a hand on one of the snacks, planning to take it by force but Damian suddenly glared at them. He was already feeling worthless, so these guys were just making a mistake by stepping on his tail.
There was no way he would give Alice’s snacks to insignificant guys like them.
“Get your hands off if you don’t want to lose it,” his threat sent shivers down their spines but they did not want to be intimidated.
“H-hey, what’s with you? Can’t you even share? Are you that stingy?” They were attracting a crowd with their loud and obnoxious voices, thinking if they embarrassed him a bit, he would give in but once again, they were wrong.
“Yeah, in very stingy.” He said. “I don’t want to share, you got a problem with that?”
The look in his eyes was quite scary.
“If you want snacks, go get yours yourself.” Damian said. “Now, get your hands off or I’ll take it off myself.”
“Hah, look at this punk. Do you think that just because you grew a little bit taller, you’re tuff shit?” He was clearly looking for a fight.
Rules were that the first one to hit took most of the blame, so bullies like him often tried to get on the nerves of who they were up against so they could send the first punch. And then, when he went all out, he’d use the excuse of it being his ‘self-defense’.
So many people hated this system since the one who provoked them often went Scot-free. Thus, many could only take the provocation with gritted teeth, but not Damian.
He was already feeling shitty as it was and even though he had never raised a hand against another before… As they say … There’s a first time for everything.
“Stop being so full of yourself and…” He snatched one of the snacks and grinned, only for his face to be met with Damian’s fist.
The punch sent him flying and the snacks had all fallen to the floor. Damian saw this. It was his mistake for acting without thinking, now Alice’s snacks were all on the floor.

‘My mistake.’ he thought and bent down to pick them up. ‘I didn’t think far and got angry. I should go get Alice new ones,’ he thought, but then the other two guys who had accompanied the jerk he punched grabbed him by the arms.
“How dare you, you punk?” They grabbed him firmly. “We’ll clip your wings before they grow.”
The guy Damian had punched suddenly and came rushing back with his fiery fist and punched Damian in the face.
“Blazing Punch!” He yelled his technique.
It was a hard punch but not enough to send Damian flying.
But it did leave a dent on his fine cheek.
“That’s what you get for messing with me. Hold him steady.” He began to rain punches on Damian’s face.
Damian did not resist since he didn’t want things to drag. It wasn’t like he hadn’t been hit a couple of times before. Compared to before, these punches were rather weak.
They were doing this in broad daylight because the teacher, as well as the trainers, were absent. They were probably going to use it
“I let you hit me the first time so you think you’re hot stuff?” He scoffed, massaging his wrist as he watched Damian coughing on all fours. “Now, if you apologize and beg to be my minion, I just might spare you. If you don’t, I’ll just make your life a living hell.”
Damian stopped coughing and looked up.
“Are you done?” He asked him, slowly getting up to his feet. His white gun shirt was stained with the blood from his nose. “I need to leave now so get out of my way,” he said. ‘I’ll have to clean this before getting the snacks so Alice doesn’t know I got in trouble.’
“Hey, where are you going? I’m not done yet.” The guy yelled but Damian ignored him. “Hey, grab him.”
The other two went to grab Damian, but he kicked one-off, and the other tried to hold him tight.
“You’re so stubborn,” The guy said, and his hand caught on fire. “I’m going to show you pain right…”
“Why don’t I show you pain?” The distant voice rang in his ear but by the time he turned around, a shoe had hit his face and sent him flying.
From where Alice sat on the bleachers, she stood with one shoe on her feet and a pissed look on her face.
“You better have an explanation as to what the hell is going on!” She yelled and Damian shook his head. Now, he had done it. He hoped to get out of there quickly so Alice wouldn’t find out he was making trouble but it was too late.
