Chapter 346: Did you cause trouble?
The guy messing with Leo had been shot by a shoe and gone unconscious. Well, that was to be expected when thinking of Alice’s strength.
But then… Who was going to take on the consequences of his actions?
The other two, who were acting as minions, wanted to run away, but Alice’s second shoe shot at one of them, sending them flying like it did to their leader.
The second guy was terrified. He had to get away or he was next.
‘She has just two shoes, right? She won’t be able to hit me.’ he wanted to run but Alice yelled,
“Stop right there,” instinctively, he came to a halt. His body wasn’t doing what he wanted it to do because of fear that had eroded his senses.
He gritted his teeth as his body trembled.
“Hah, they should’ve seen this coming. It’s not like we don’t all know Damian hangs out with Alice,” some from Class A who had been watching shook their head in pity.
“They brought this upon themselves, trying to act high and mighty. Just look at what they did to Damian’s face.”
“If you girls are so concerned, why didn’t you step up?” Some of the boys snorted at the girls who only stood at the side, gossiping.
“What’s it to you? You’re jealous of Damian too, aren’t you?” And of course, the girls didn’t take it lightly and started arguing with the guys.
But all voices seized as Alice approached on bare feet.
She didn’t have a problem walking on her bare feet but it made her look uncivilized in a way. But who would dare say that to her face when she had made it clear to them that they weren’t equals, and if they didn’t mind their damn business, she was going to have a go at them.
“Damian,” Alice called and Damian raised his head.
She frowned, seeing the blood drip down his nose, his bruised eye, and face.
“I take my eyes away from you for a minute and they dare mess with you?” She glared at the unconscious guys and the conscious one took all the heat, standing at attention with his lips sealed and his body soaking wet from his own sweat.
Alice had managed to create a hierarchy without even making that her intention. The mere display of power she did showed the entire awakened class that she was not on any of their level. And the only reason she was even putting up with any of this was because it didn’t bother her.
But make one move that compromised her peace then you’d definitely see the other side she found bothersome.
Now, she was the pinnacle of power and everyone had begun to tread lightly around her, hoping not to provoke her by accident.
These guys who had decided to go after her friend without thinking of the consequences would be the first ones to set a fine example for anyone who had ‘other’ plans towards her and the people around her.
“Tell me, did Damian start a fight with you?” Alice asked but the guy was too petrified to speak.
She turned to Damian,
“Did you cause trouble?” She asked him but he lowered his head in guilt, refusing to answer.
Whether he caused it or not, he was the center of it so he felt he had no right to answer.
“Come on, get rid of the inferiority complex,” Alice said and he looked up at her. She didn’t have that calm and gentle expression on her face. She was pissed, but not so pissed that she was beyond reasoning, that was why she was asking questions first. “If you’re not going to answer because you think I’ll get mad at you then I’ll just do what I want. Don’t stop me with an explanation when you see what I’m about to do.” She turned away from him.
Damian felt his voice stuck in his throat because of the heavy feeling in his heart but he did not want to stay silent. He did not want to let Alice make another commotion, not for his sake at least.
He looked toward Leo, hoping he would stop Alice but Leo simply shrugged and said,
“The ball is in your court, not mine.” He said. “Besides, they started it, didn’t they? I saw it all.” He massaged his shoulder. “Just let her teach them a lesson or two. Don’t worry, they won’t die.”
Still, Damian was worried. What if a situation like before suddenly happened? No, he couldn’t let that.
“You know,” Alice growled as she approached the guy still standing. “I hate bullies the most. And anyone who thinks they can oppress others just because they feel superior,” she dropped her hand on his shoulder. “I’ll make sure to uproot them.”

The students watching slowly began to understand why Alide had been so mad earlier. Yes, they heard what Elizabeth said, and honestly, it was very harsh, but what Elizabeth was doing was throwing her weight since she felt she was superior.
She was trying to put Alice in her place since she was stronger. She was a bully who didn’t use her hands but her words to make those below her feel even more inferior.
And since Alice declared she hated bullies more than anything, she must’ve hated that Elizabeth was trying to bully her when she knew nothing about her.
A show of strength was enough to put her in her place, but since the insult was too much, Alice literally wanted to take her head off.
“N-no,” Damian suddenly grabbed Alice’s other hand and she turned her head towards him.
“What are you doing? They ruined your pretty face; I’ve gotta pay them back the same way, at least,” Alice said. ‘Devon placed you under my care, yet while I was fuming and dwelling on my own anger, you got beaten up. I can’t accept that.’
“I know but if you hit them, they’ll die.” Damian said.
“Don’t worry, I know how to control my strength,” Alice said, “Now, let go.” She turned her head towards the trembling guy before her. “You’re trembling like a leaf, yet you have no problem hitting someone you perceive as weaker than you. If you get out of here, remember that bullying is bad, and it hurts when you hit the other person,” she shrugged her hand out of Damian’s hold but Damian relentlessly grabbed it again.
“Please, no, Alice,” he pleaded.
“Just why are you pleading on their behalf? They hit you.” She said, but Damian squinted his eyes, bit his lip, and confessed.
“But I hit them first.” He yelled. “I… I started the fight. If I didn’t hit them first then…” He shook his head and squeezed her arm tight. “So, it wasn’t an unfair fight.”
Alice went silent. She stopped trying to take her arm back and then turned to him.
“You hit first?” She asked, her tone laced with disbelief. Damian felt she wouldn’t believe so he began to explain,
“I got you a lot of snacks but they wanted… They wanted to take a few. I didn’t let them and got annoyed. So, I… I punched his face.” Damian said. “If this matter gets to the teacher’s office, I’ll be at fault, so…”
“Damian,” she suddenly placed her hands on his shoulders, her eyes twinkling in delight. “You’ve grown so much.”
“H-huh?” He was confused. What part of what he did made him seem all grown up?
“To think you’d actually hit your bully first. Wow, I’m impressed.” She held her chin. “Well, the aftermath isn’t something to write home about, but you three your fist first and stood up for yourself. That’s a start.”
Damian could literally see steam coming out of her nostrils. She felt proud for the weirdest reason.
Why would she celebrate his violence?
He didn’t even stand up for himself. He just… Got mad that they had eyes on what he got for Alice.
“Okay, I finally understand what you’re trying to say.” Alice said and turned to the guy who was silently and slowly trying to escape but flinched as soon as he was caught.
But Alice’s spirit had been lifted so she wasn’t all that mad anymore.
“But we can’t let them go just like that. They need to be punished.” She said, her eyes brimming with evil. Even the ones who had been struck unconscious were shaking in their bones. “I’m going to teach you boys a very valuable lesson,” she grinned.
Alice ended up typing them upside down and left them hanging on one of the tree branches. Oh, but she couldn’t risk the branch breaking, so she gave each of them their very own free branch.
“Now, reflect on what you did wrong and you will be forgiven.” She turned around, grabbing Damian’s arm. “So, how is this? Is this okay?”
It was a little extreme but it was better than hitting them. Damian nodded, a little relieved, and said,
“Yes, thank you.”
Alice smiled and looked forward to find Leo approaching while waving her shoes at her.
“Alright, your freedom of no shoes is over,” he said and stopped in front of her. “Time to protect your feet.”
