Chapter 353: You need to get used to being drained of your mana
“Whoa, Damian, so this was how the fight started,” Alice suddenly said and Damian’s eyes widened when he realized the drawing was no longer in his hands. “Wow, you were so cool. But I’d prefer if you had given them a little more…” She punched her fist in the air. “Sandwiches.” She said and laughed.

Damian covered her face. Well, she wasn’t disappointed, and it didn’t look like her image of him had shattered, but… He still felt embarrassed to be found out.

“I w-will write a little story underneath the d-drawings.” Nicholas said, taking the drawing notebook back and smiling at Alice.

“I’m so glad you liked it.”

“Why wouldn’t I? It was amazing.” Alice said.

“And though it has nothing to do with your innate skill, I think your speed and accuracy would do well when trying to fight monsters.” Leo said, interpreting the entire thing. “If you could draw multiple similar-looking monsters that are to your command just from spotting them in the field, then you could have an army to fight for you while you help those who are in need. It all has to do with fast thinking,” he said and opened his eyes to find their eyes glittering at him.

What had come over them all of a sudden? They looked like amused little kids who just saw an ice cream for the first time.

“Wow, Leo, you sure are perceptive. To think you thought far ahead,” Alice said.

“The power of creation is a very powerful skill that if mastered, can help you take complete control of the battlefield,” Leo said, walking towards Nicholas. “I trust your skills.” He said, “I trust it so much that I’ll give you a piece of advice,”

Nicholas felt a little chilly all of a sudden. It looked like Leo was going to threaten him but that gaze he had… That gaze made him feel like a very important person… Could not be wrong.

“Do not wait till you are at your last breath before taking action.” Leo said. “You don’t need to wait for the experts to take control of the situation first and be on the sidelines. If you act first, you will help reduce the damage that those who rush out to risk their lives take.”

“A-are you saying that I need to be the f-first to act?” Damian asked and Leo nodded.

“Yes, very much so. You have such strong mana that is related to your power of creation. I hope it grows beyond this in the near future and for that to happen, you have to maximize the use of your skills.”

“I… I don’t understand.” Nicholas said and his face suddenly became desperate. “Please, explain it clearly to me. What can I do?”

Leo looked at the desperation in his face. That was the look of someone who, all his life, had never been able to do one thing right and was always on the sidelines.

To think his desire to help was this strong. It definitely didn’t suit his character. But this was good.

With great power comes great responsibility, after all.

“Nicholas, if you try utilizing your skill from now on, you will gain more proficiency when using it.” Leo explained. “You already draw daily, so I guess you’re very good at it, and your speed has increased tenfold. Now, what you need to get used to is the creation process. Try to incorporate it into your daily activities. You can have walking animals made from your creation do different shores, with you given orders to each and every one of them to work on your connection precision,”

If he could be able to control several small animals to do different things, giving orders simultaneously or rather, passing his will so he doesn’t have to even think much for them to act, then that would be very great.

“Do you understand that?” Leo asked and he nodded, his dark eyes gently sparkling. “And then, in your free time… Go to an open space and draw the biggest thing you can think of preferably an animal. Once you do that, I’m sure you’ll use a considerable amount of mana. If possible, draw multiple big-sized animals and try your best not to let them go rampant away from your will.” He explained. “But before you even go into big animals, get used to the commands that take power away from your creation. So that even though they do go rampant, you can stop them before they create any trouble, do you understand?”

Once again, Nicholas nodded. He was already taking notes, not wanting this valuable information to go to waste.

The power of creation was a valuable one that even the awakened agency treasured at first glance. But since there was no one with similar powers, they did not know how to go about his training.

This meant he had been stagnant since the beginning, not knowing which way was forward and which was backward.

But here, Leo was teaching him in such a simple manner and even giving him instructions too. This was a golden opportunity that he would not miss.
