Chapter 376: Anyway, let’s get down
Alice turned to Mark, who was even more confused at the sudden situation, and said,
“Drive, Mark. We no longer have any business here.”
Of course, Mark had questions. He had tons of questions, but he knew this was not the time to ask, so he turned on the engine and hit the gear.
The assassins wanted to go after them but Micheal let out his mana rope and caught their necks.
It was the same rope he had used on Florida when she had gone crazy and tied to attack Alice.
“You two aren’t even fit to be pets,” he exclaimed. “And I can’t let you live anyway, so I might as well make the rest of your existence as hellish as I can.”
“You… What…urgh…urk…” They were choking, but of course, he had no plans to kill them by choking.
He would simply wait till they were unconscious and then take them to the worst place of their lives.
Once they had both fallen unconscious, Micheal shoved his fingers through his hair and sighed, staring at the spot Alice was. She touched his hair so softly and smiled so softly.
He wished to feel her touch even more. He wished she could embrace him.
“Ah, what to choose as my reward? I just can’t decide.”
Mark parked the car in the garage and sighed. She turned around to Alice and said,
“Tell me what’s going on.”
“With Micheal?” She asked.
“Yes, I mean no.” He was starting to get confused again. He wanted to know how these things were connected. “Tell me about the assassins. How long has this been going on?”
“Hm, not for long.” She rested her head on her palm. “Remember the first time I suddenly told you to stop the car in the middle of the road?”
“That was two days again.”
“There’s your answer,”
“If something like this had been going on, why didn’t you tell me?” Mark asked and she stared at him. “Ah, is it because I’d be useless either way?”
“Not really,” she answered and then folded her arms. How to put it? “It’s just I didn’t want you to worry.” She looked away. “I believed I could handle it without you finding out. And I wasn’t even the one getting rid of them. Micheal seems to be quite good at that, so I left it to him.”
Mark pressed his lips tightly together.
Micheal was an S-class so his capabilities were definitely nothing to joke about.
“Then, did you tell Devon about it?”
“Why would I?” Alice asked, bringing her gaze back to him. “It defeats the whole purpose of not wanting you guys to worry about it. Micheal’s the only one who knows I’ve been getting exclusive visits from assassins.”
Hearing this lightened Mark’s heart a bit. So, it wasn’t because he was useless.
(I’m pretty sure she already said that wasn’t it)
“Anyway, let’s get down,” Alice said, opening the door. “I honestly don’t know when the assassins will make a full-scale attack, targeting not just me but the people who are present. So, tomorrow, I’m planning to set things straight with their employer.”
“You know who’s after you?” Mark asked, also getting out of the car and she nodded.
“Of course. It’s that bitchy Elizabeth and her father. Kid couldn’t take her defeat and is out to get me.”
“What?!”

It would be full-blown news if it turned out to be true. Alice didn’t want to inform the agency or the association that such a thing was going on so no one was investigating.
The mastermind probably thought the assassins had done a good job keeping their mouth sealed and that their identity was still a secret, as well as their intentions.
After all, what could a mere high school girl do for the assassins to spill out the information of their employer?
(Huhu, that’s where you’re wrong)
The next day was finally the sports day.
Miss Stella had returned just in time. There was no way she would miss the chance to watch her students shine on the fields.
“Okay, students, you’re going to have to put on the special uniforms provided by the agency,” she explained.
They looked like they were leather bests covering them from neck to toe. They were long-sleeved, too.
“Now, the agency doesn’t want a situation where the students ‘accidentally’ kill each other so the suit is meant to absorb excessive shock impact. Though, it won’t stop you from flying off if the strike is too great. But don’t worry, even as you land on the floor, the suit will absorb that shock as well.”
“Wow, it’s such neat stuff,” Lance exclaimed. “Hehe, with this. I don’t need to hold back when throwing my punches.”
The people from the strength class were having hand-to-hand combat. Lance was leading it, of course. He was the class’s champ when it came to strength.
Though he glanced at Alice, who was yawning for the fifth time the morning at the back, he would have loved to have her represent their class as well.
With her monstrous strength, they wouldn’t have a single thing to worry about.
‘It’s not that I’m not confident in myself. I’m confident I can win but…’ he shook his head.
He wouldn’t let the rumors trouble him.
He had heard that in one of the schools, there was someone who had already been scouted by the brute guild. He had huge muscles and his strength was off the charts. If he had to face someone like that…
‘I’ll give it my best.’
“Alice, are you okay?” Damian asked Alice, who was nodding away, and she raised her head to look at him.
“Hm?”
Her face looked extra pretty today, and her hair had been parked up into a ponytail. It even had some braids at the side. Her lips looked extra lush too.
Did she have an early morning makeover session because she looked really pretty?
He felt a bit flustered but quickly cleared his throat and said,
“You look sleepy.”
“Thanks for stating the obvious, champ.” She said and yawned. “I slept early last night, and this morning, I woke up at 5 like usual. So I don’t know why I’m feeling so…” She yawned. “…sleepy. I just want to shut my eyes and sleep right now.”
“But you can’t do that, Alice.” Damian said. “Today is the one day you can’t sleep through.”
“Yeah, yeah, because it’s the…” She yawned. “…sports event. I know. I’ll get my shit together so don’t worry.” She turned to Leo. “Shall we start heading down?”
