Chapter 44: Ah, when did she grow so much?
Chapter 44: Ah, when did she grow so much?
His sudden 360-degree turn was rather scary and suspicious, and Alice wondered if he was planning to take her to an abandoned warehouse or something.
And that smile…
Brr, it was too suspicious.
“So, you want to take me to the N.A.A building, right?” She asked and he nodded.
“Because the council of leaders wants to see me?” Once again, he nodded.
“And they sent you to get me, because…?” She waved her hand, giving him his queue to state his identity.
“Didn’t you see the card?” He asked.
“I am the assistant of the association head.” He said and once again introduced himself, “Alfred.” “Okay, Uncle,” she called and his smile cracked.
Did she just call him uncle?
Did he look that old?
“I understand, so I’ll go with you.” She said, bringing a smile to his face, until she added a clause, “But…” She pulled Mark closer and hugged his arm tight.
“I’ll only go if he comes with me.” Alfred took in a deep breath.
“Alright.” He said.
“This man…” “Mark.” Alice called.
“His name is Mark.” “Alright, Mark,” Alfred called and stepped closer.
“I think I saw you in her files.
She used to be under your custody before this place was demolished, right?
Is that why she grew attached to you?” He asked but before Mark could speak, before he could even come up with a response, Alice stretched out her hand, blocking whatever assumption Alfred may have.
“Hey, there’s no such thing.” She said though she was still clinging on to Mark quite well, making him rather uncomfortable as he could feel the softness of her bosom pressed against his arm.
He tried to keep a straight face as he repeated in his head, ‘Don’t think about it.
Don’t think about it.
She’s 17 so be a gentleman and don’t think about it.’ He knew her intentions were pure, but that did not stop the fact that she was pressing her melons against his arm, and he could not break free from her grasp.
“If that isn’t it then what could be the reason you want him to accompany you?” Alfred asked, unbeknownst to the reason and Alice snickered, giving Mark chills.
He did not like where that was going.
Why did it feel like he already knew why she was taking him with her?
“Hehehe,” She snickered.
“…This guy owes me a meal.” She said, and Mark closed his eyes.
Of course, that was what this was all about.

“A…
A meal?” Alfred asked, confused.
“Yes, a meal.
I don’t know what might happen once I meet that council that has summoned me, and I feel like I may never see him again, so, to be on the safe side, I’m taking him with me.” She said.
Mark simply sighed and shook his head.
Alice’s words sounded so touching and would’ve even touched his heart if only she didn’t speak about him owing her a meal that would definitely punch a hole in his wallet.
He was sure of it.
Though Alfred was confused, he did hear that S-class awakeneds were a set of crazy that the world would not understand, so he nodded and said, “Alright.” He adjusted his glasses, still trying to figure out Alice.
“He can come with us but I don’t think you have to worry about him running away.” “That’s why I said to be on the safe side,” Alice added.
She let go of Mark’s arm, and just as he was about to let out a sigh of relief, she wrapped her arms around his neck and subconsciously pushed his head to her bosom while smiling brightly.
If not for the coat she was wearing, his face would’ve come in contact with the little piece of fabric that was holding her breasts together.
But even at that, she could still feel the softness through the coat.
Why was he thinking that?
He tried to get away from her arms, but she had this monster strength holding him in place, and he could not even break free.
And then, Mark thought this, ‘Ah, when did she grow so much?’ She was still not as big as him but somehow, he could tell that she had grown from that young girl- just in body, though.
She still had the mentality of a young girl.
“Alright, let’s set out.” Alfred said, and the guards formed two straight lines, leading to the cars they had come in with.
How did she not notice the guards were that much?
“Miss Alice,” Mark called and Alice looked down and saw she was suffocating him subconsciously.
“Oh, sorry.” She let go and he massaged his neck.
“It’s nothing I can’t handle.” He said.
“But you seem eager.
It’s like you’re scared I’ll suddenly run away.” “Hm, don’t read my mind like that.” She said, confirming that those were her thoughts.
He stared at her and wondered if it was really for the meal he was owing her.
But he shook it out of his head, telling himself it was just the meal.
“At this rate, even if I tried to run away, I don’t think I’d be able to escape from you.” He said and for some reason, those words made her flush.
“Jeez, what am I?
A hellhound?” She asked, shyly looking away.
She didn’t know why she had that sort of reaction but she felt it was weird and didn’t want him to see it.
“Then,” he stretched his hand out.
“…just to reassure you, why don’t we do this?” She looked at his outstretched hand and then at his face.
He had a friendly smile.
“What’s this?” She asked, completely oblivious as to why he suddenly stretched his hand towards her.
“If you held my hand, that would reassure you, wouldn’t it?” He asked, and she made a thinking pose, putting her hand on her chin and observing him while Alfred stood as a spectator to a scene he did not want to witness.
‘What are we still doing here?’ he thought with a blank look on his face.
Alice had a better idea, though she knew that it would only stay as an idea because if she spilled it out, it would only make them think she was crazy.
*You’re crazy.* Leo stated, but she couldn’t keep her excitement in and had to purse her lips as hard as she could; if not, she would laugh.
*A collar?
Seriously?* ‘What?
I think he’d look adorable with one.’ she thought.
The only way she would feel fully reassured was if she put a dog collar around Mark’s neck and held on to the chain everywhere they went.
It was crazy.
*I feel so bad for the guy who kindly offered to take you out for a meal.
Now, you’re going to treat him like he’s some criminal till he gets you that meal he promised.* Leo pointed out.
‘No, no.
I’m not that cruel.’ she said and to prove her point, she took Mark’s hand.
‘You see.
I’m fine with holding hands.’ *Sigh.
I’m going silent for a while.
Let me know once we get to the headquarters.* ‘Will do.’ She smiled and turned to face Mark, who was staring at their connected hands.
“What?
Are you embarrassed holding this little girl’s hand?” She asked and Mark looked up at her.
“Nothing like that.” He answered, a bit seriously and uncalled for, but she decided that was just him being weirdly formal.
‘Haha, this is fine.’ she thought.
