- Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 This is disrespect in the highest order
Chapter 47: This is disrespect in the highest order Chapter 47: This is disrespect in the highest order Alice moved so fast that they did not know when she had gotten to Alfred.
It was like she vanished but she was just that fast.
She caught Alfred’s face and slammed him to the ground, The guards were speechless, staring at Alfred who had fallen into Alice’s hand.
“Ah, you got blood all over my hand.” Alice said, raising her body and looking at the blood on Alfred’s face.
He looked like he was having a concussion.
His glasses were broken, his nose was bleeding and a few of his teeth were missing.
Alice saw the handkerchief sticking out of Alfred’s pocket.
“Ah, don’t mind if I do.” She picked it up and wiped her hand with it.
“Hm, you’re such a gentleman, carrying a handkerchief around with you, haha.
If only you didn’t have such a wide and filthy mouth.” She threw the handkerchief aside and bent down to pick Alfred up by his shirt.
She did so and said, “Don’t worry, I’m not planning to kill him.” She glanced at her side and then to the other side.
The guards had surrounded her tightly.
She laughed.
“I just wanted to shut him up.
That’s all.” She said.
“It was getting annoying listening to him yapping nonstop about useless shit.” “How dare you do something like that to the emissary of N.A.A?” One of the guards, the one who had been driving their car, demanded, staring at her like his face was going to explode.
He was quite the bulky man.
He probably worked out a lot.
Alice, instead of listening to what he was saying, stared at the veins in his forehead, popping in anger, and even counted them.
“This is disrespect in the highest order.” He swung his hand like he was slashing a blade, but he was simply expressing his rage, and Alice was finding his actions quite entertaining.
But she could not stay quiet for long and said, “Oh man, now that the emissary is like this…” She tugged on Alfred’s shirt, threatening to drop him but didn’t and said, “…I believe it’s time to get a new one, hehe.” Her comment made the guard burst out in more anger and he dared to say,.
“How dare a little girl like you make fun of the position of Emissary?
You are looking down on us.” He said and took off his coat to show his muscles bulging under his white shirt, and his body started expanding.
“You are looking down on N.A.A as well as the leaders who summoned you.
I will make sure to set you on the right path.” He said and took off his shades, crushing them in front of her.
Alice watched him as his body expanded, his shirt ripping to pieces as it could not handle his increased body mass.
Her eyes filled him up till he finally stopped growing.
He grinned arrogantly.
“And if you were to die by my hands, I would simply report that I accidentally killed you while trying to stop you from escaping.” “Ooh, what a fairytale tale.” Alice said.
“And then what happens when you die by my hands?” She asked, pointing at him with her free hand and smirking.

“What excuse will I give the council waiting for me at the headquarters?” The big guard felt she was insulting him and let out a roar, like a lion.
“How dare you insult me?!” He yelled, releasing waves of energy that blew the wastelands.
Alice simply watched him, her hair flowing backward in the direction of his severe energy release.
‘Hm, why does he remind me of a gorilla?’ she thought and chuckled.
Mark, seeing what was going on before him, knew he had to stop this by all means.
Things were still stable now, but if Alice killed a human, even if it was in self-defense, as long as she had that label of criminal on her, they would interpret her actions as a desperate attempt while trying to get away.
He needed to stop things from escalating.
While Alice watched the guard huff and buff, she recalled the gorilla-type monsters she fought.
He really reminded her of them.
Or maybe it was just that he resembled a gorilla.
‘Hm, I wonder if he’s as powerful as those banana-loving monsters.’ she thought, wondering if to assess him with her third eye, but she thought it was a waste of her precious energy.
And then, Mark got in front of her, spreading his left arm out, to stop her from making a move.
“I know how this looks,” he suddenly said, “…but fighting here will only create misunderstandings.” “What are you talking about?” Alice asked, looking at him weirdly.
“Don’t you get it?
This is the perfect place to fight where they can get rid of me and then make up whatever shitty story that would make them out to be heroes.” She explained, shocking him.
“Jeez, boss, are you so naive?” Mark looked towards the guard who was ready to charge at them.
Was that true?
There was no way they brought them there to kill them.
“Obviously, that was not their original intention,” Alice said, “…but there was no way they would let someone who disrespected their boss go.” She said, shaking Alfred’s body.
Then, she felt her stomach grumble.
She was hungry.
Like…
Really hungry.
“Ah, I don’t feel like fighting right now.
What do I do?” Mark watched Alice’s nonchalance even at a time like this.
Did she not know the gravity of what she had done?
They could run away but…
Being an enemy of N.A.A was not something they could handle.
Then…
What could they do?
He gritted his teeth.
How did things become so complicated?
“Enough chitchat.” The guard said and roared, bearing his chest and Alice looked at him like an excited little girl.
“Oooh, he beats his chest just like them.
Now that’s something.” The guard charged for them and yelled out his attack, “Punch of a thousand fury.” He leaped up and crashed down with his fists that were locked together, on the spot he thought they were standing.
The entire place was covered in dust from the impact of his fists.
“Haha, where’s your cheeky smile now?” He asked, thinking he had landed his hit, but by the time the smoke cleared up, he discovered they weren’t there and the person underneath him was one of his own men.
His eyes widened.
How did…?
All of a sudden, he heard the door of the car close and turned to find Alice leaning on the window frame and grinning victoriously at them.
Then, she waved with her index and middle finger pressed together, and in a cool way, she exclaimed, “Ciao!” Mark, behind the wheels, hit the gear and zoomed off as fast as he could while the guards stared, still stunned.
