Chapter 65: Do you really not want to talk about it?
Chapter 65: Do you really not want to talk about it?
Alice took the elevator down and then paused, standing at the front of their building, conflicted.
*What is it?* Leo asked.
“Well, I don’t know where I am right now.” She said and scratched her hair.
“Shit, I should’ve asked him before walking out.” *Good for you.
You were trying to act all cool.
Now look.* “Hey, don’t test me.” She said, sighed, and tucked her hands in her pocket.
“Well, I just need to stroll around a bit.
I’ll surely find a signboard or something.” She started walking.
What she meant by a dog going back to its owner was simple.
She was going back to the guy who made her a dog and give him a piece of her mind.
Now that she had power, she would wreck the place, and get her revenge for all the shitty things they made her do and how terrible her life was.
She was a pitiful soul.
Haha.
As she walked down the street of that expensive district, she noticed people staring at her.
She clicked her tongue and put on the hood of the jacket.
She increased the pace of her steps but they still kept staring at her.
Some even laughed at her childish preference.
Her eyebrows furrowed, and she started running, trying to get away, feeling uncomfortable with so many eyes on her.
She wanted to get away from their eyes.
She felt like she was being judged when they were only looking at her because of the excessive pink she was wearing.
*What’s wrong with you?* Leo asked as Alice stopped, hiding in a back alley where it was dark and no one could see her.
But for some reason, the pink seemed to be glowing.
She took off the jacket and threw it down, annoyed.
*Hey, what’s wrong?* He asked once more but she only got irritated and punched the wall.
“It’s nothing.” She declared but her reaction did not look like it was nothing, as she claimed.
“I just…
Hate the color pink.” She said.
*And you expect me to believe that that is the only reason you’re so upset and irritated.* “I said it because I hate the color, okay?” *But you weren’t this irritated when you saw the room and the closet was filled with pink clothes.* Leo pointed out and she bit her bottom lip.

“Stop trying to sound me out.” She said, throwing her face away from where she felt Leo would’ve been if he were in front of her.
“The color pink irritates me.
And it irritates me more when others stare at me weirdly because of it.” *…* Leo went silent.
Was there something he did not know about her?
Was she just irritated walking down the street?
No, that was impossible, right?
He was sure she had walked down the streets countless times in the past.
He was beginning to think that Alice of the past life hid a lot of her memories from him, so when he looked through, trying to decide the perfect time to rewind the time, he did not see a few things.
Things like the demon swallowing up the people who bowed in appreciation to her or anything that had to do with her dislike of pink.
Was there a memory concerning that too?
A memory that this Alice still held fresh in her head?
*Do you really not want to talk about it?* Leo asked.
*People often feel better talking to someone.* She sighed.
“Leo, how do you expect me to talk to you about this?” She asked him.
“Right now, you’re a voice in my head.
Talking to the voice in my head won’t exactly make me feel better.” She dropped her back on the wall.
*You look so pitiful right now.* Leo pointed out and she rolled her eyes.
“Geez, thanks for the compliment.
Why don’t you join me looking pitiful?
It’s ‘super’ fun.” Of course, it wasn’t.
And her expression falling after she said that made her seem even more pitiful.
She was currently the strongest person in the world, so why was she still so pitiful?
Shed your skin that makes you look weak.
Lock your heart that makes you feel weak.
Discard everything that will make you look vulnerable and you will be carved to perfection.
Those words that they were taught on a daily basis rang in her head and she bit her tongue.
She aimed to suppress any feelings that crept up in her heart.
Do not feel anything.
Bite your tongue if you feel you’re wavering.
She accidentally bit too hard.
“Ouch.” Blood sipped out of her tongue.
She was bleeding.
*Hey, are you trying to cut your tongue off?* Leo asked but she cleaned her mouth with the jacket on the ground and said, “I won’t bite it off.” She threw it aside and sighed.
“It’ll heal up in a bit so don’t worry.” She confidently said, as if he didn’t already know that.
*So, are you going to keep moping here like a stray cat?
I thought you had something to do.* “So, you decided to be harsh?” *Well, you won’t tell me anything so I’ll just pretend nothing’s going on with you.* Leo said, though he wished he did not act like she was fine when she was hurting for a reason she would not disclose.
“Yeah, you’re right.” She stood straight on her feet.
“I have to go hit those bastards so they can stop what they do for good.” *And by the bastards, you mean…* “Yeah, Big Stach.” Her eyes flared, once again having that determination she had when leaving Mark’s house.
She would end their rotten business for good and stop anyone else from falling victim to what had been done to her, as well as every other person in that den.
Not that she was trying to be a righteous hero, she just wanted to get her revenge.
Yeah, that was what it was all about.
*And the reason you took that money with you, is…?* Leo asked and she remembered there was money as well as her phone in the jacket.
She picked it up and frantically checked to make sure the phone was okay.
Luckily, it was, and the money was safe, too.
‘Gosh, this envelope seems to be of top quality.
It’s not ripped even after passing through so much.’ she chuckled quite sadly.
“I’ll give this to Diane.” She said.
*The friend that tried to steal it when Justin attacked you?* Leo asked and she nodded.
“Yeah.
I’m sure I’ll make a lot of money selling the treasures I got at the dungeon.
So, this money, my first real bucks, I’ll use it as charity.
I hope she can start over after leaving that horrible place.” *Hm, so you do have a good heart.* Leo said, and an irk formed on her forehead.
“Are you looking for a fight?” She threatened.
*Ahem, anyway, I think I have a solution for your clothes.* Leo said.
*You look like you would kill someone if they looked at you in that outfit one more time.
So, use this.* A dark robe materialized in front of her and just before it was about to fall, she grabbed it.
It had a thick material but it was quite soft to the touch.
*Put it on.* Without asking questions, Alice out on the robe and zipped it up.
“Um, this isn’t my size.” She said and she floated in the robe.
*Just hold on.
Watch the magic happen.* Then, the robe started adjusting to her size.
It got smaller than its original size and fit her perfectly.
It was very comfortable and it hid the pink she was wearing quite well.
“Wow, this is awesome.
Where’d you get it?” *It’s one of your rewards for defeating the demon.
It’s called the demon robe.* CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Remember she didn’t look through all the rewards then.
Now this is one of the rewards she didn’t check out back then
