- Chapter 67 - Chapter 67 This kid isn't all that
Chapter 67: This kid isn’t all that Chapter 67: This kid isn’t all that Big Stach’s henchmen were speechless, staring at Alice with eyes wide and mouths open.
Did she become awakened?
Her movements were so hard to read.
They didn’t even notice when she took a step.
How did she become an awakened?
So, Big Stach never really considered the fact that one of his dogs would become an awakened and come back to take revenge on him.
In fact, he had no fear.
Even if they became an awakened, they would have to be an S-class awakened to be able to shake him since he was an A-class.
But S-class awakening was rare so he had no fear.
Even if they awakened as an A-class, they wouldn’t be able to take him down with all his men.
Yes, that was the mentality he entertained and the same mentality he fed his men, and his dogs.
So, if they ever thought of trying something as stupid as revenge then they should be well prepared to lose their lives.
Yet, there was one, standing in front of them with fierce eyes, threatening to wipe their existence from the face of the World.
She had gauntlets in her hand, sparking and she punched her fists together.
“So, tell me,” she said.
“…do you like my gift?” The gauntlets were part of the collection in her treasures and she wanted to be sure to hit every single one of them with her bare hands.
Hitting them with her hammer would kill them right away but she didn’t want that.
She wanted to make them suffer from her fists just as they made her suffer.
Breaking her legs, scarring her body, and carving obedience in her heart.
She would return it in ten folds.
“Ha!
Haha,” Derek suddenly started laughing and she looked at him with lazy eyes.
What was he laughing at?
“I see.
You came back to join the force.” He said.
“The what?” Derek started walking towards her, acting nonchalant and unafraid.
“You got tired of being a dog so you went to her stronger and came back to join the force.
I’m sure Big Stach will be glad to accept you.” He placed his hand on her shoulder, still speaking gallantly.
“You know, I always knew you had it in you.” Alice was silent.
She stared at him with her glazed eyes.

He was getting on her nerves but…
This was actually a good thing.
It would save her the trouble of going to find Big Stach on her own.
Her lips curled up and she smiled maniacally.
“Alright.” She said, the gauntlets disintegrating into small particles and disappearing.
“Let’s go to Big Stach.
I can’t wait.” Her smile was a bit terrifying but Derek decided to interpret it as her excitement to join the force.
But in his mind, he thought, ‘This kid isn’t all that.’ he looked down on her.
‘She must be A-class like the boss.
Ha!
I’m gonna take her to the boss and he’s gonna teach her a lesson.
How dare she act so arrogant?’ he grinned.
Alice could tell what he was thinking but it didn’t matter.
She wasn’t planning to spare anyone anyway.
She would uphold the saying, ‘an eye for an eye’ and would start with Big Stach.
“Shall we?” He wrapped his arms around her shoulder and as much as it irritated her, she decided to put up with it.
They crossed the body of the barely breathing C-class guy and walked towards the entrance.
The others helped him up and probably took him to get healed but Alice didn’t mind.
Wherever they were…
Her right eyes blazed blue and she smirked…
she would find them.
They walked into the building and Alice activated her third eye, letting it blaze with the blue flame that naked eyes couldn’t see.
If she remembered correctly then this was the time they were all gathered for dinner.
Though they weren’t provided with meals regularly, they were fed dinner, so at least they wouldn’t die of starvation in their sleep, and the quantity given was according to the task accomplished.
In other words, no food for a lazy dog.
She shut her eyes, walking through and trying not to let her heart get weighed down by her memories of that dreaded place.
Tonight, she would bring it to the ground.
Hmm, but why wasn’t she feeling Diane in the building?
Was she out on a mission?
They finally got to the floor underground.
The top of the building had been ripped, if she remembered correctly, by Justin.
But it had been fixed.
Hm, she expected them to leave it be, though.
Anyhow, Big Stach, as well as the henchmen, have their rooms underground.
There was an old elevator leading to the underground hideout.
They were meant to protect them from monsters, yet they made the dogs their shields in the sense that if a gate spawned, the first ones to be attacked were the ones above ground, and those that were underground could find a way to escape.
Cruel.
“Yo, Derek,” someone called in an awfully friendly tone as the elevator opened and they walked out.
He was one of the sleazy bastards under Big Stach.
But for him to speak so informally to Derek, then he probably held equal positions.
That was Jack, Big Stach’s left hand.
“Weren’t you sent to check out who the intruder was?
Or did you take care of them as well?” He asked, with a rather mocking smile.
Yes, they were not the best of pals.
“Get out of my way.
I have business with the boss.” Derek said, but Jack wasn’t the type to step down just because Derek told him to.
“Hm?” He noticed Alice.
“Wow, would you look at that?
Isn’t that a lovely thing?” Alice rolled her eyes towards him with no expression on her face.
She knew this one.
Jack went by another name, Jack the Ripper.
Like the homicidal legend who was responsible for killing hundreds of prostitutes back in history.
Jack, here, was trying to live up to that man by being a homicidal maniac.
He was the one in charge of disposing of any disobedient dog.
She had watched with her own two eyes as he slit the throat of one of her roommates who refused to go and get ‘tasted’ after hearing the horrible stories.
This girl had no choice but to die for her disobedience and Jack took her life with a smile.
“Is this one here to get tasted as well?” He asked, and Alice’s eyes widened.
‘As well?
Are there others getting tasted?’ “The boss isn’t done with the first batch though.” He said calmly.
“There’s this one that’s giving him a hard time.
I wanted to rid him of the trouble and dispose of her but,” he shrugged.
“…she has unique hair and the boss likes unique things, hehe.
So he wants to taste her by all means, even if it means ruining her in the process.” Alice’s heart started beating rapidly for some reason.
It wasn’t what she was thinking, right?
“Well, that’s not my business.” Derek said.
“This one isn’t here to get tasted and I’m afraid it can’t wait.
So-” “Ahhh!” A bone-chilling scream from inside the room startled Alice’s heart.
She knew that voice.
Her hunch was right.
That voice belonged to…
