- Chapter 70 - Chapter 70 That's a clone
Chapter 70: That’s a clone Chapter 70: That’s a clone Alice appeared on the surface, after breaking through.
She landed on her feet and let out a sigh.
She almost got buried with them.
“Ah, now that that’s done, I’m feeling hungry again.” She exclaimed silently.
Alice originally planned to beat up every one of the bastards working in this place, make them beg for their lives, and still beat them to death, but her heart was struggling to grasp what she had seen.
Yes, her hands were stained with blood, and she had done heinous things when ordered, but…
She had never seen a sight such as that.
Maybe it touched her to her bone because it was Diane, but it might’ve also been because she was a girl, just like Diane, so if such a thing had happened to weak, defenseless her, what would she have done?
She looked at her hands.
She would’ve never been able to scale through it.
She sighed once more.
This made her feel that the tales they were told by those who returned from being tasted were just child’s play.
The real tales, the real gruesome experiences never made it back because they never survived it.
And that was why she was unaware that it was as scary as that.
She had goosebumps, honestly.
“Alice,” Diane called and she raised her head to see Diane and the group of kids their age and younger at a distance.
They were at a safe distance from the building, so when it collapsed, they did not get caught up in it.
“Ah, you made it.” She said and took a step but just then, something shot out of the debris of the collapsed building and spiraled towards Diane.
Alice caught it right away and saw that it was the same sickle she had broken but it was reattached and …who was using it?
She frowned, gripped the chain, and dragged out whoever it was that was wielding the sickle that belonged to the dead Big Stach.
“Easy now!” She heard his voice.
Big Stach’s voice and her eyes widened.
She watched him walk out of the smoke, his head attached like nothing had happened to it.
He was fine.
Completely fine.
Diane’s throat etched in irritation and she threw up.
What was he doing there?
Alive?
How was that possible?
She burned him down.

How was this possible?
They burned him to a crisp.
No, before that…
“Diane, take the dogs and get as far away from here as possible.” She yelled, “I don’t know what’s going on but this doesn’t look normal.” Diane did just that, clearing the area.
Just as much as Alice was confident in her strength, she was also confident that she would not be able to protect anyone if a fight broke out.
She has never fought while protecting people so she didn’t want to take chances.
“You thought you had me, didn’t you?” Big Stach asked, with a smug look on his face.
“Did I surprise you?” “How are you alive?” Alice asked.
*Alice, I noticed this before but thought it was just the weapon but…* ‘Spill it right away, I’m not in the place where I can listen to long chats.’ she hurried him.
*There’s demon blood flowing through his veins.* He said and Alice’s eyes widened.
“What?!” She exclaimed out loud subconsciously.
*I’m sure of it.
And also, that’s a clone.* Alice was a bit confused, but she wasn’t given time to think as Big Stach charged towards her.
He planned to punch her but she gave him a good kick, sending him back ten feet.
‘Leo, explain yourself.
What do you mean he has demon blood in his veins?
He’s human.’ Alice ranted in her mind.
*That’s how I see it.* He said.
*I don’t know how he got his hand on demon blood but it’s facilitating his growth.
This one you’re fighting is a clone and so is the previous one you burnt down.* “What?!
Then where’s the real Big Stach?” “I’m right here!” He appeared next to her and planned to cut her down but she flipped backwards, avoiding his attack.
Ah, it was no wonder he was looking so smug and confident.
Since it’s a clone, it didn’t matter if she destroyed it.
She landed on her feet and swept him off his feet, and stomped on his face, crushing his skull and killing him.
*Since it’s a clone, the real body should not be too far from here.* Leo said.
*But the fact that he is strengthened by demon blood, to the point where I can feel it in his clone is quite concerning.
How did he come in contact with demon blood?* Another sickle shot at her, and she caught it, dragging its owner out and using her knee to crush his chin.
“Jeez, how many are there?” She wondered and decided to scan for the real body.
“How do I know which one is the real body?” *You’ll feel the ominous energy from them the strongest.* She used her third eye and searched the vicinity.
Four more clones were lying in wait as they were getting ready to attack her.
Ah, she could see Diane and the kids and they had gone far, but then she noticed a clone going after them from behind.
No, that wasn’t a clone.
Her eyebrows furrowed.
That was the real Big Stach.
He was after Diane.
“That sick son of a bitch!” She yelled and dashed in their direction right away, going at top speed.
Diane and the rest were passing through the exchange route and that happened to be a lonely path.
They probably didn’t want to be seen by people and be misunderstood.
Luckily, Diane got a jacket to wear on the sheets she had tied around her neck but that wouldn’t stop them from misunderstanding her and calling the awakened’s agency on them.
Especially when she was wearing a gauntlet.
Then, someone crashed in front of them and they stopped.
It was Big Stach with a big smug on his lips.
“Now, playtime’s not over.” He said, taking a step at a time towards her while they retreated their steps, scared.
“I can’t let you slip out of my hand,” his eyes spilled lust as he stared at her who was scared and also disgusted.
He raised his hand, planning to grab her when his face met with Alice’s hammer.
She was angry and irritated as she smashed him with her hammer, sending him flying.
He landed a long distance away from them because she did not intend to kill him.
But that didn’t mean she would go easy on him either.
“Get away, you disgusting worm.” He had to answer for the demon blood flowing through his veins.
