- Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 I'm on your side
Chapter 74: I’m on your side Chapter 74: I’m on your side “You know what, I think there’s one thing we do have in common.” Alice said and grabbed him by the hair, raising his head to look at the kids.
“I want to see you beg.
Ask for forgiveness from these children and though I know they will never forgive you, I just want to see you beg and be humiliated.
So, go on, beg for your life and I’ll let you go.” Big Stach looked at her and then grinned with his chin that was nearly and completely pulled out, after she yanked his beard off.
‘She’s nothing but a soft little girl.
It’s just to beg.
I will make sure to get back at her tenfold once I regain my power.’ he said and started begging, bowing his head to the ground.
“Please, spare my life.” The kids, as well as Diane watched him in disgust and dismay.
Just what in the world did he think he was doing?
Did he think they would forgive him even if he did this?
But Big Stach shamelessly pleaded for forgiveness with his head down and smirking as he had no intentions of repenting.
Then, he turned his body towards Alice and started pleading for his life.
“Spare my life.
I will turn a new leaf.
I really will.” He said, sounding as convincing as he could but Alice could only stare down at him in disgust and sheer hatred.
Look at him beg like a worm.
He was begging the same children he had abused so pathetically and shamelessly, just to keep his life.
This was the fate of all those who did wrong.
“Alright,” Alice said and squatted down to his level.
“Now, tell me where you got that thing for and I’ll let you go.” “Ah,” Big Stach grinned with his bloody jaw.
“Yes, I’ll tell you.” He said.
‘It’s not like you’ll be able to know where that is, even if I tell you.’ he thought and raised his head.
“West Avenue, the devil’s shrine auction.
I got it from there.” “West Avenue?” She wondered.
“Devil’s shrine?” That didn’t sound like any place she knew about.
And then, she sensed a presence approaching but since there was no murderous intent, she pretended not to notice till they revealed themselves.
“I believe I know where that is.” The voice spoke, sounding similar to the one she had heard in the council meeting.
She turned to him and confirmed that it was indeed him.
He had a mask on and walked in the shadows of the moon.
Even the bright moonlight, which had illuminated the entire area and made it possible for everyone to see did not shine on this man, making his presence rather eerie.

“And to what do I owe this visit?” Alice asked.
“Oh, don’t mind me.
I was just passing by.” He said and she could tell he was smiling through that mask.
Funny enough, she could not see past his mask and see his face with her third eye, which meant that the mask was something special.
But what was with this mysterious mysteria?
“Okay, so, do you have business with me?
Is that why you stopped by on your ‘walk’?” She asked.
Only a fool would believe that he was just passing by the exchange point.
He was either into shady business and came to pick up goods or nothing else.
At least, none that she could think of.
“Awn, you don’t have to act all defensively against me.
I’m on your side.” He said.
“And,” he appeared behind her, not surprising her but rather irking her.
“…I just told you I know where that place is.
Don’t you want me to show it to you?” He placed his hands on her shoulders as if trying to please her.
“No thanks.” She said, shrugging his hands off.
“I can’t trust a stranger.” “Ouch.” He held his chest but Alice shook his head.
She didn’t have time for dramatic shit.
“That hurt but I’ll just keep it to myself.
In case you do get curious, you can come and find me.” He said, but she ignored him, looking down at Big Stach, who was waiting to be let free.
Was he really that gullible trusting her?
Or was he just confident that Alice was a weakling who would let her go?
Any one of those, he was a fool?
But that aside, why did she have a familiar feeling about this masked man?
He was an S-class awakened and she could not remember meeting any till, well, Justin and Devon.
Then, was it after that?
She knew she wasn’t speaking with him for the first time at the council, and he was awfully friendly then, too, so it made her suspicious.
“Ah, I called the agency already.
They’ll take care of this.
He’ll probably be trialed and-” “No,” Alice said, interrupting him.
“I’ll handle this myself.
Hey, Big Stach,” she called, grabbing his hair.
“You wanted me to let you go, right?
Well, this is the moment.” The masked man looked at her, wondering, Was she really planning to let him go?
Big Stach could taste his vengeance just at the tip of his tongue.
He just needed to get away from here.
“And remember when I said we have one thing in common?” “Y-yeah?” “Then, let me tell you what it is.” She leaned closer and whispered, her lips curling up in a maniacal grin.
“We’re both liars.” With that, she crushed his head to the ground and then stepped on him, bursting his head with her foot.
Once she had done that, she swiped her hair backward, breathing in fresh air of freedom for the first time.
She was no longer a dog.
She looked towards the kids who watched her deal the final blow and then to the masked man, who was shocked at what he just watched.
“I’m no saint.” She said.
“I won’t give this man to the agency, only to be given life imprisonment or whatnot.
The likes of him deserve death in the most brutal way and that is what they will get.” She stood, tall and proud, declaring to him.
“That…
is my act of heroism.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Brutality is needed sometimes, don’t you think so, my dear readers?
