- Chapter 82 - Chapter 82 Concerning Miss Alice's Secondary education
Chapter 82: Concerning Miss Alice’s Secondary education Chapter 82: Concerning Miss Alice’s Secondary education “Nooooooooo!” Alice yelled, walking around the living room with her hands blocking her ears, trying to escape from the inevitable.
“No!
No!
No!
No!
I refuse to accept this!” She would not accept it.
She definitely would not accept it.
School?
Class?
Teacher?
That unbearable and despicable hell?
There was no way she was going to agree to that.
Miss Stella stood at the side, trying to calm her down and explain to her that school wasn’t a dreadful place as she believed it to be, but Alice already had her fair share of middle school, so she was sure she understood the meaning of dreadful far more than Moss Stella did.
“Who was it?!” Alice yelled, walking up to her like she was going to fight a battle.
“Who was it that came up with this despicable idea?” “Well, I can’t say.” Miss Stella said.
“You know, I was called in and told to pass on the message.
Whatever happened before then, I don’t really know.” She watched Alice’s eyebrows furrow and then the grimace on her face.
It looked like she hated the idea so much.
Well, as a teacher, it was her job to create a comfortable and conducive environment for her students.
So, she would do her best to help Alice feel comfortable.
She clapped her hands together and said, with a sweet smile, “Look on the bright side, you’ll be in my class.” But there was no bright side to this situation.
She hated the fact that she would have to go to school.
Not when there were so many judgmental idiots and an authority that would take the sides of those who had fuck and influential parents.
“Mark,” Alice called.
“…was it you?” She asked, raising her gaze to glare at him.
Miss Stella looked rather anxious at this turn of events.
It was true that she didn’t know who brought up this idea, but she would hate to let Alice have doubts about Mark.
“No,” Mark answered right away.
He has nothing to hide.
“Then tell me who it was.” She demanded and by Mark’s reaction, she could tell he was aware of the source.

“Who, Mark?” “The association chairman!” He answered and Alice paused.
“That Gramps?” She asked and he nodded.
“Wait, did I miss an episode here?
I feel like I should’ve known if something like this was going on in the background.” “I didn’t want to wake you up so I went to the meeting on my own.” Mark said, making things even more confusing for her.
“The meeting was scheduled yesterday but you were still asleep, with no signs of waking up, so I went to the meeting on my own.” “Wait, is it true I slept for two days?” She asked and he nodded.
*So, did you think I was bluffing?* ‘Uh, yeah.
Kind of.’ She thought and then sat back on the couch next to her.
“So, I slept for two days.
An urgent meeting was called for yesterday and you went to my place.
How did the topic of me going to school come up?” “Well, it went like this.” Mark explained.
During the meeting, everyone who had been present during the first was once again present, not wanting to miss the chance to give Alice their business card and maybe recruit her, since she was not affiliated with any guild yet.
But to their disappointment, Alice did not show up.
They thought she was putting up airs and becoming arrogant, but Mark made it clear to them that she was just sleeping.
He stated that she had used up too much energy taking care of the rogue awakened, which happened to be one of the reasons why she was summoned, as she was the suspected culprit who had stirred up that bloodbath.
Since it wasn’t confirmed that she was the one, they decided to ask her about it, once she was summoned, but she did not show up.
“Now that we know she’s basically the one, we have to bring her in for questioning without delay!” Said the ever stubborn Su Feng and Fredrick backed him up.
“I knew she was a threat.
Just look,” he turned to the chairman.
“Just a day and she’s already making a mess out there.” But Adolf, the chairman, did not pay heed to their words.
Rather, he was more concerned about the issue he had in front of him.
The response he gave was not what they expected at all.
“Miss Alice has been using a lot of her power lately, I understand that she needs a lot of rest.
After all, she’s a growing teen.
So, let’s not disturb her with our own concerns.
I believe she had her reasons for doing whatever she did, as we have all seen the records concerning this issue.” They grumbled.
Yes, he was a young and disgusting scumbag, misusing his powers that were meant for the good of humanity to hurt humans.
He was enslaving ordinary humans, turning them into weapons, and also killing them at will.
So, Alice getting rid of him and saving her former mates was actually an admirable and remarkable thing.
There was no need to make a fuss about it.
Adolf was worried though.
He wondered why such a thing could happen under his nose.
This was going on in his own country and nowhere else.
He thought he was taking care of things appropriately, but in every corner, some rats spat out dirt everywhere.
As for this case, it looked like there was someone big backing such operations, and that was why it could be done under his nose.
For now, they would start investigating and also shut off that exchange point where illegal transactions were being carried out.
“So, Mark Steiner,” He interlocked his fingers and dropped his hands on the desk in front of him.
“Since you are here on behalf of Miss Alice, I will direct my questions to you.” Mark nodded, ready to answer to the best of his abilities.
“Concerning Miss Alice’s secondary education, I believe this issue has to be addressed.
Even if she does not go to a higher institution, getting a high school diploma is necessary.
So, what are your thoughts on that?” Mark went silent.
This was a rather…
Hard question.
From his understanding of Alice, she definitely wouldn’t like the concept of going to school but it’s not like everyone liked going to school, and that was why they went.
Getting a high school diploma was at least necessary, so she wouldn’t be regarded as an uneducated bum with the knowledge of a middle schooler.
He still remembered the words Alfred said to her and that got him angry and sad on her behalf.
She was less privileged and that stopped her from achieving so much.
And probably because she was less privileged, she knew she did not fit into the school system.
He shut his eyes for a moment and then bowed his head in respect.
“Miss Alice is young and immature.
She likes to eat and doesn’t want to engage in any drama that compromises her freedom.” He started listing out, making them wonder about his motive for doing so.
“Miss Alice is a girl who grew up in a harsh environment.
With no warmth.
She…
Needs a lot of care and I hope the association, as well as the agency, take that into consideration when dealing with her.” He raised his head, stood up tall, and said, “So, yes.
I agree with the motion to send her to school, even if it’s just to get a diploma.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Awn, he likes and cares for her so much.
Who else agrees to let her go back to school?
