Chapter 480: Growth (3).
While Legion observed with a smile at how his master had handled the leader of the sea demon horde, Alec found it odd to see his cyborg golem display such an expression.
He attempted to step forward but staggered, overwhelmed by a flood of new information invading his mind, memories of various sword moves and blade techniques seemed to etch themselves into his brain.
As the pain he experienced was intense, a result of the excessive information forcibly imprinting itself within him.
Legion quickly moved to Alec€™s side, concern etched on his robotic face, Alec had faced many similar challenges and had never once faltered after a battle, and that was the main reason which heightened Legion€™s worry.
Alec shook his head, trying to dispel the effects of the headache that had accompanied the influx of knowledge, as his brain had assimilated all the new data from the sword and blade techniques , he clenched his fist and allowed a slight smile to form on his lips.
Although he hadn€™t ascended to the next small realm, but he felt that if he were to face the leader of the sea demons again, he wouldn€™t need to resort to underhanded tactics; and he could easily defeat him with his newly enhanced weapon mastery skills.
He could almost sense every muscle in his body twitching with newfound prowess, as it wasn€™t just the acquisition of countless sword and blade skills that he acquired; but it was as if the mastery had been ingrained into his very being.
It was akin to muscle memory; his body intuitively knew these skills, even though he had never practiced them before, as he placed his hand on the hilt of his Bloody Changdao that was place on his waist, he felt as though he were an expert who had dedicated twenty to fifty years to mastering the sword, even when he was not up to twenty years yet.
Alec now had an arsenal of weapon techniques he could mix with his affinity elements to create more destructive attacks, capable of taking down those stronger than himself.
€œI guess I€™ve finally reached the status of a super genius at the War God Mage Academy,€ Alec boasted with a hint of pride as he began to walk toward where the rest of his golems were stationed.
Legion followed closely, still drawing mana from the surroundings to replenish his energy reserves to full capacity.
€“
After completing their final mission, Alec and his golems departed from the village regions, all that remained was to rendezvous with the rest of his team at the agreed-upon location and return to the Academy.
However, Alec decided to delay his return slightly, opting to meet with his team the following day, this decision was influenced by the awakening message displayed by the system after he had slain the lord of the sea demon horde.
By achieving the longstanding mission of defeating over ten Mid-rank life forms, both of his Weapon Mastery had evolved from the basic rank to the intermediate rank.
Alec hadn€™t anticipated that accomplishing this would lead him back to the option of awakening.
Every mage who reached the mid-rank had the opportunity for a second awakening, which often resulted in the discovery of new elements or the enhancement of existing elements or special abilities they had.
This awakening was typically accessible upon breaking through to the mid-rank.
However, when Alec ascended to the Tier 4 realm, the system had told him to block his awakening, curious and scared of the consequences of doing so, he had inquired about this with the system spirit, which explained that Alec had not yet reached the level where he could maximize the potential of the awakening.
The system spirit elaborated that without the system advice, Alec would have gone through with the awakening and he would only experienced an enhancement of his current elements, However, with the system€™s intervention, it was possible to postpone the awakening until a more opportune time.
Alec was advised to focus on stabilizing his foundation rather than rushing to break through to higher levels, as a solid foundation was crucial for a successful reawakening of his second awakening.
€˜I guess attaining an intermediate skill level counts as solidifying my foundation in sword and blade techniques, who would have thought that delaying the awakening would make it come back even stronger?€™ Alec mused as he entered one of the low-tier cities near the region he was in.
As he passed through, he overheard the city€™s residents discussing the flashes of battle light they had seen and how the lords of various cities had reported that the sea demons were retreating back to the sea.
This news delighted everyone, and some city lords even began to concoct tales of their involvement in the battle that repelled the sea demons.
Alec snickered at the behaviour of certain lords, who shamelessly took credit for his actions simply because he hadn€™t made his actions public, however, he wasn€™t interested in their antics and was too lazy to spoil their image at the moment; his focus was on finding a room in the city where he could undergo his much-anticipated second awakening.
€“
After searching, he finally settled on a secluded inn located in one of the city€™s abandoned districts.
Once Alec was in his room, he summoned the system spirit, Titan, Legion, and Oni to stand guard, as he was ready to initiate the process.
Taking a deep breath, Alec called up the system interface, preparing himself to activate the second awakening.
[Initiate Mid-Rank Awakening (Y/N)]
Without any hesitation, Alec pressed down on the €˜Y€™ for yes, and immediately the environment around him transformed making him surprised, he knew he hadn€™t been teleported, nor had he traversed through any spatial dimension.

As one moment he was within the confines of the room, and the next, he found himself in a vast black expanse that seemed to be dotted with countless stars, giving the impression of being in outer space.
As he took in his surroundings, Alec noticed something peculiar, he was floating in a cross-legged position above two enormous runes that stretched out so far and overlapped to such an extent that their boundaries were indiscernible.
Upon closer inspection, Alec realised that he recognized the runes, one burned with intense flames, appearing as though it could consume anything in its vicinity, yet to Alec, these flames seemed tame and controlled.
The second rune was golden-brown, exuding a sense of weight and solidity, and the air around it appeared to warp and distort.
€˜Shit, this isn€™t outer space; this is inside my body, this is the new manifestation of my Broken Mana Pool,€™ Alec realized as it dawned on him that he had been drawn into the microcosmic universe inside his Mana pool and that is if he could still call it a Mana Pool.
