The Golem Mage - Chapter 530
Chapter 530: Plan And Schemes (2).
Chapter 530: Plan And Schemes (2).
Alec had dispatched his golems alongside his teammates as backup in case they encountered any members of the Royal Mage Academy, however, that wasn€™t his primary motive for sending them out.
Alec was able to communicate freely with all his golems as long as they weren€™t too far from him.
So when he sensed something off about the individual claiming to be Lucas, he knew it wasn€™t the Lucas because he had been in mental contact with Legion.
And Legion had sent a message to him mentally confirming that he was still with the real Lucas, and that was the moment Alec realized something was amiss, yet, even when questioned, he didn€™t reveal how he found out, he only twisted his other findings and explained, that way keeping his secret safe.
Explaining how he had discerned that Luis was an imposter would expose another of his abilities-the fact that he could communicate with his golems.
Alec didn€™t consider himself an almighty figure; he recognized that there were various unique powers, and he believed that the more cards he kept hidden, the better his chances of survival.
So he was aware that if his enemies discovered he had the ability to communicate with his golems, they would do everything in their power to disrupt the connection, rendering his golems a slight liability with his instructions.
But by keeping certain powers concealed, he had managed to send a message to Legion to retreat with Lucas back to the flag castle, instead of going after the opposing team€™s flag, since he had set what he called the perfect trap for the three members of the Royal Mage Academy.
Alec was confident that all he needed to do was now was take care of the captain and vice-captain of the Royal Mage Academy, secure their flag, and his academy would be declared the winner.
…
Meanwhile, deep in the forest, Beatrice, who had been advancing cautiously, finally came face to face with someone.
She looked at Albert Blaze with such a nonchalant expression that it infuriated him, though he managed to keep his irritation hidden.
Due to being from the Blaze Clan, Albert was accustomed to having a multitude of fan girls swooning over him, showering him with adoration.
So, when he set his sights on Beatrice, whom he considered the beautiful vice captain of the War God Academy, he expected some sort of reaction from her.
Perhaps she would be in awe or show some level of infatuation, however, to his surprise, she simply looked at him with an expression of indifference, as if he were some unknown entity.
€œIt€™s not often that the vice captains of both academy teams meet each other, tell me, why don€™t we go on a date once this match is over,€ Albert suggested acting like he already won the fight, but Beatrice furrowed her brows in disgust and replied,
€œThere is someone else I€™m interested in, if you can break his unbeaten streak, then I might consider you.€
€œWrong answer!€ Albert responded angrily, with flames flaring around him.
€œI€™ve researched your time in the capital, and it seems you€™re the loner type, even if you have someone you fancy, it should either be the Blade€™s boy or your captain, and you should know neither of them is a match for me, which means, you€™re just rejecting me.€
€œI thought you were here to fight, not talk too much,€ Beatrice remarked as her human puppet moved toward Albert.
However, Albert shook his head and pushed out his palm, as a tremendous burst of flames erupted and engulfed the puppet, shrouding it completely until its figure was no longer visible.
Satisfied with his display, Albert was about to turn back towards Beatrice direction, but suddenly the human puppet emerged from the flames, its body scorching as the red armor it wore glowed with increased intensity.
It launched a right fist towards Albert, catching him off guard, nevertheless, Albert swiftly reacted, slapping the fist away with his left palm and redirecting it to his right side, then, with his right hand enveloped in flames up to his elbow, he delivered an uppercut, executing the flaming fist spell.
Bang!
The impact of the punch didn€™t stop there, as a hand made of flames materialized and lifted the human puppet into the air.

Making a series of intricate hand signs, Beatrice performed unique runes that gave Albert an unsettling feeling.
Instinctively, he attempted to push himself off the ground to disrupt her, but the moment he tried to exert strength, a piercing sensation warned him of the potential critical injuries he would incur.
Squinting his eyes, his pupils blazing with flames, as Albert finally recognized that he had not simply been thrown by the crocodile; he had been lured into a trap crafted by Beatrice using her Mana Thread, specifically designed to stall his movements.
All around Albert now were countless threads made from Mana, invisible to ordinary eyes, if he were a weak mage and had stumbled into this web head-on, he might have been torn apart.
Understanding the dangerous nature of this hidden weapon, Albert smirked, raising his tightened fists to his neck, feeling the slight drop of blood that was on the verge of falling.
He noticed various cuts on his body that he hadn€™t expected, Beatrice had drawn blood from him, and it had been a while since anyone had done so, and he relished every second of it.

€œFeisty, i like that!€ Albert remarked.
However, he soon realized that the spell he was attempting to prevent had already been completed.
In a desperate attempt to escape the net trap, he set his entire body ablaze, igniting the mana threads around him.
Beatrice released a rune which fly towards the body of the human puppet, causing the puppet runes drawn on its forehead to come to life and rotate in a peculiar manner.
The red armor worn by the puppet, which had previously glowed, now emitted smoke from overheating, the spirit armor was designed to absorb attacks of the flame element, but Albert€™s output exceeded its capacity.
Now that a part of the seal locking the human puppet potential had been released, the armour€™s absorption speed seemed to increase.
As he materialized into a massive flaming sword, which the puppet wielded with a firm grip.
Taking a battle stance, the human puppet exuded a sense of danger that surpassed its previous state, moreover, the once lifeless white eyes seemed to emanate a newfound intelligence.
€œI see, but you€™re still trash, the moment I get rid of the lady, you€™ll cease to function again!€ Albert declared as he leaped forward, only to disappear into a hastily manifested tunnel of flames.
In an instant, Albert reappeared, his right hand already dangerously close to Beatrice€™s neck.
