Chapter 536: Climax Of First Round l.
Beatrice’s eyes followed Alec as he flew away, but she quickly redirected her attention back to her own issues, as she curled her fingers, causing visible strands of mana to materialize in the air and wrap themselves around the human Puppet’s body.
Despite appearing extremely fragile and on the brink of collapse, Beatrice’s worries were somewhat quelled by the fact that she had managed to obtain some of Albert’s blood.
As with a gentle motion, she raised the human Puppet using the mana threads, their strength helping to support its compromised state, the flaming pikes that had previously pinned it down dissipated upon Albert’s demise since he was the one who had cast the spell.
Once the puppet’s body was level with her own, Beatrice carefully poured out the collected blood, swiftly returning the tube to her space ring, as the blood was suspended mid air by some type of force, extending her right index finger, she began to inscribe intricate symbols in the air.
What took the spectators by surprise was the suspended blood obediently following the movements of her finger, like a delicate stream being gradually drawn out and tracing her ethereal calligraphy.
After a mere two seconds elapsed, it became evident to the crowd that what Beatrice was creating was a set of runes, the eerie feeling emanating from these symbols was intensified by the knowledge that they required someone’s blood to activate.
Yet, in this moment, Beatrice cared little for how she appeared to others, normally, she would hesitate to employ such spells, but the overwhelming sense of helplessness she felt-having to rely on Alec as a constant savior-had been her breaking point.
She was determined to do whatever it took to secure victory for her team, even if it meant delving into the secret spells of the Marionette clan.

Summoning her resolve, Beatrice invoked a spell, as she was uttering incantations in an unknown language, the crowd watched, captivated, as the suspended blood rune rushed forth from its mid-air suspension and was drawn into the body of the motionless puppet body, the spell taking effect right before their eyes.
As the runes merged into its body, a resounding clash happened , as the human puppet's eyes snapped open, its entire body erupted in flames, the red armor it wore began to alter, its rune engravings shifting and changing.
"How is she able to replicate that?" Thalia, who had been sitting casually, suddenly sat upright, her gaze intensifying as she scrutinized the puppet.
She regretted not paying closer attention to Beatrice when she started to deploy the sign of the runes.
While the other captains could not grasp the intricacies of how Beatrice had cast the spell, but they still didn't show much interest, as from what they could discern, the puppet's rejuvenation and the spike in its flame energy output already made them aware that its aura bore a striking resemblance to Albert, who had just been defeated.
"So that's what the blood was for-to clone a specific aspect of his flame powers, what a genius, i never knew blood manipulation had a branch capable of such feats, i can't wait to face her-oops, I shouldn't say that, I'm supposed to be rooting for the Royal Mage Academy," Damien mused, his face alight with admiration.
He couldn't contain his admiration for Beatrice after witnessing what she had accomplished with Albert's blood.
As the human puppet landed firmly on the ground, it followed Beatrice as they both dashed back toward the War God Academy's castle edge.
—
The moment the bright light flashed, Luis, Kylian, and Asher all wore smiles of anticipation.
"I bet your captain just got his ass handed to him and is out of the game, get ready, because you'll all be following suit when Albert emerges victorious from these woods," Asher taunted, his frustration mounting.
Alec had left them to contend with the golems, a clear indication of the low regard he held for them.
But what stung the most was the memory of once battling Alec in an arena, but now, upon their reunion, Alec hadn't even spared him a glance, only Luis had been deemed worthy of engaging with another member of the War God Academy team.
And that was because it was a personal battle, a confrontation between two brothers, while he was left to face Oni.
But despite all his efforts, Oni had proven to be an unyielding adversary, absorbing all the attacks thrown at him.
With his scythe, he unleashed power-boosted strikes, and when Asher managed to close the distance, Oni countered with the various blades wielded by his other four hands.
"How foolish can you be?
If Alec had truly been defeated, his golems would have ceased to function by now, the fact that they're still battling and standing tall should tell you that whoever was eliminated, it wasn't him, and I'm certain that Alec is behind the elimination," Lucas retorted as he parried the dual blades of his brother, the recoil pushing him back several steps.
Nearby, Legion and Kylian seemed to be competing to see who could generate more blasts, with the surrounding area either peppered with large ice shards or scorched by blasts from Legion's weapons.
All the while, Titan stood nonchalantly beside the flag on the roof, observing the battles unfolding below.
As all the combatants were deeply engaged with no clear path to victory, the intensity of the match escalated.

As the mages from the Royal Mage Academy began to feel the pressure; that any slip-up from them now could decisively influence the outcome of the match.
The crowd roared with excitement, lost in the thrill of the fast-paced combat, unconcerned that the team they were rooting for was struggling.
They were simply reveling in the spectacle, while some of the most devoted supporters of the Royal Mage Academy, like their students in the crowd, bit their nails as the battle near the War God Academy's flag reached its climax.
To the Royal Mage Academy team, they felt that if they were to fall, it would mean that all the population of mages would be free to attack their Captain.
On another note, they wouldn't worry about their Captain facing a whole team by himself, but the War God Academy had proven themselves to be not just any ordinary team.
They had shown how much of a thorn they were, and at the moment, they spectators felt that the main battle would actually be decided by the battle going on at both flag edges.

Alec had finally arrived at the other edge and could see Liam holding onto the necks of both Endrick and Pale.
The area around them was covered in ice and wood, with Pale€™s special black ice ability on one shoulder of Liam, but it didn't seem to affect him much.
Looking to the edge, he could see Magnito sprawled on the ground with a wide hole in his chest, slowly repairing itself with the mana in the air, but it would still take a long time before the hole would close up.
Seeing all this, Alec slowly came down, as his boots touched the ground, he took his time to really observe the person before him, Liam Tudor, a royal blood of the Northern Kingdom, suspected to have time ability.
A handsome man with a very unique set of eyes, blond hair, with his charisma and aura were completely on another level, even though he had a smile on, Alec could feel like he was facing another monster.
€œI guess you are their boss!€ Liam said, still maintaining his smile.
€œBe… careful…€ Pale struggled to talk, but eventually Alec heard a crack as Liam twisted their necks, killing them in the process as he threw out their bodies, and the bright light flashed and swallowed up their bodies again.
Liam looked at Alec, the calm on his face making him almost doubt if truly Alec was even their Captain, as his facial expressions didn't change one bit.
"Now look at this, it appears I've stumbled upon yet another pretender, why did you not attempt to save your comrades?
Perhaps having more numbers would have given you a fighting chance against me, but now, here you are, stranded and without any help," Liam jeered, his hands outstretched.
Alec, unbothered, promptly responded,
"I'll avenge their elimination.
Let's cease this pointless banter and resume the battle, shall we?" He placed his right hand on the hilt of his Changdao, ready for action.
Holding his ground, Liam chuckled,
"I find you intriguing." In an instant, Liam transformed into a blur, charging at Alec.
However, Alec was not far behind as he moved too, his movement might not have been as swift as Liam's, but his momentum was just as unwavering.
The silence fell over the crowd once more, their attention fixated on the impending confrontation that could ultimately determine the outcome.
