The Golem Mage - Chapter 581
Chapter 581: Second Soul : Drake Chapter 581: Second Soul : Drake While the Dean and the instructors were left confused, Alec on the other hand was focused on overlooking his microcosmic universe, having successfully guided the energy flow through his whole body, he moved to his Microcosmic universe to witness the formation of the new Demonic beast soul.
Alec floated in his Mana space, his eyes fixed on the gradual construction of the soul form body unfolding before him.
Slowly but surely, a smaller version of the Golden Horn Drake materialized, as the formation concluded, its eyes opened, fixating directly on Alec.
Astonished by this development, Alec couldn€™t help but be taken aback, because unlike the shadow wolf, which had promptly fallen asleep upon its formation, this new soul remained conscious.
The Drake unleashed a mighty roar, as it raised its head high , aiming to deliver a powerful impact with its voice.
To Alec€™s surprise, golden waves radiated outward from the roar, after expressing itself with all its might, the Drake soul form closed its eyes once more and fell back into slumber.
€œWhat a beauty!€ Alec exclaimed, in awe of the sight before him.

A surge of astonishment overwhelmed Alec as he looked at the status of the newly formed demonic beast soul, now linked to his Devourer Bloodline.
He had expected the beast created from the Golden Horn Drake to possess great power, but he had never imagined it would awaken as a Peak Tier 3 demonic beast from the start.
Alec had not anticipated such a remarkable outcome, especially considering the fact that the shadow wolf had started at a much lower level, he had hoped, at best, for the Golden Horn Drake€™s formed soul to be at Peak Tier 1 or High Tier 1.
However, Alec was beginning to realize just how much he had underestimated the energy being transferred from the Tier 6 demonic beast soul.
Even if only a quarter of that energy was passed to him, and the Devourer Bloodline absorbed another quarter, the rest went into forming the peak Tier 3 beast soul that stood before him.
€œYou shall be named Zenith,€ Alec proclaimed, causing an immediate change in the Drake€™s status.

Witnessing his compatibility rise to sixty percent gave Alec a sense of assurance.
As he knew it wouldn€™t be long until he fully familiarize himself with the new soul and achieved complete compatibility with it, just as he had done with the shadow wolf soul.
Eager to connect with Zenith, Alec extended his hands towards the creature€™s soul form, however, a sudden wave of fatigue washed over him, causing his eyes to involuntarily close as he succumbed to the embrace of darkness.

The Dean had scanned the room over twenty times, but he still couldn€™t locate the demonic beast body nor the soul of the Golden Horn Drake€™s, which he had heard roar, Alec€™s peaceful slumber only added to his confusion.
The Dean had chosen not to remove the soul in order to startle Alec, hoping that swooping in to save him would earn him a bit more respect.
That had been his sole intention all along, however, as soon as he stepped into the room and failed to locate the physical body of the demonic beast, a wave of disorientation washed over him, as his head began to spin with confusion, this unexpected turn of events left him perplexed and uncertain.
The Dean had devised a plan to capture the demonic beast soul and sell it before it could inflict any critical harm on Alec.
The substantial amount he would have received from selling such a valuable soul could have helped cover some of his expenses, particularly after the significant investment he had made in the team, however, he now felt deceived by Alec.
Alec had merely requested a dead demonic beast, without expressing any interest in the soul.
In fact, nobody sells a dead beast with its soul still intact, because they are seen as separate commodities, the Dean€™s scheme has completely gone astray.
Given the way Selene was looking at him, he hesitated about asking Alec where the soul had gone, as doing so would surely tarnish his prestige, he was trying so hard to uphold with the team.
As they all stood motionless, gazing at Alec in his room, an observation finally dawned upon them.
€œAm I the only one noticing the increase in metal element particles in the room?€ Selene questioned, turning to the Dean and the two instructors.
€œWe feel it too!€ Instructor Jasper affirmed, as the metal element particles abruptly became more volatile.
Additionally, traces of fire, earth, and even tiny shadow elements seemed to gather in the air.
The energy gathered around a central focal point, and as their gazes followed the energy lines, it led them to Alec, who lay in a peacefully asleep position.
€œHow is it possible for him to cultivate to such a degree while he€™s sleeping?

I€™ve never witnessed anything like this before,€ Instructor Phil voiced his astonishment.
€œI see,€ the Dean remarked, as the others in the room, apart from Alec who was still asleep, turned their gaze towards him, it was almost as if their eyes were silently urging him to explain the situation.
€œI€™m not entirely sure how he managed to do it, but it€™s clear that Alec has somehow absorbed the soul of the Golden Horned Drake.
The presence of those metal particles and the Drake€™s aura surrounding him are evidence enough,€ the Dean explained.
€œHowever, I still can€™t comprehend how the body of the demonic beast disappeared, considering the space ring Alec possesses, it€™s understandable that he can€™t keep a beast of such size inside, so my current speculation leans towards the possibility that he possesses some kind of space manipulation abilities, beyond that, I can€™t offer any other plausible explanation,€ the Dean conceded with a shrug.
Despite the Dean€™s explanation being the most logical one, everyone in the room remained perplexed.
The reason for their confusion was that absorbing a demonic soul at Tier 4 Mage level was unheard of, unless one possessed a Bloodline.
However, they remained unaware of Alec€™s Bloodline, and even when they entertained the idea that Alec might possess a hidden Bloodline, they couldn€™t reconcile the fact that he had absorbed a beast two realms higher than himself, a potentially dangerous feat.
