The Golem Mage - Chapter 618
Chapter 618: Back To The Jungle (final) Chapter 618: Back To The Jungle (final) Alec leaped directly into the midst of the Minion demonic beasts that served under the Golden Horned Drake, which his golems had just slain.
He danced and twisted among them, swinging the dual fiery chains that were wrapped around his hands with deadly precision.
With each swing, the blades at the end of the chains decapitated a beast, leaving a trail of blood in his wake as he tried to clear a path through the encirclement he jumped into.
His dual weapons, which were blazing with scorching heat, cleaved through the beasts as he swung the fiery chains that extended all the way to his elbows.
€œThis proficiency really pays off!€ Alec muttered as he yanked the fiery chains, pulling the airborne weapons down towards the neck of a bull demonic beast that was charging towards him.
As both blades lodged themselves on either side of its neck.
The beast cried out in pain as the blades pierced deep into its flesh, the heat burning it from the inside out, but Alec wasn€™t finished yet.
He flicked the fiery chains, sending a streak of black flame along them to the hilts of the blades, both the Bloody Changdao and the Bone Katana blazed with black flames.
€œSever!€ Alec commanded, swapping the position of his hands.
And the blades sliced cleanly through the bull demon€™s neck, and its blood splattered across Alec€™s face as he knelt on one knee.
It was a gruesome scene, but just as Alec finished off the bull demon, his danger senses flared, as two wolf-type demonic beasts lunged at him from different directions.
Caught in a split-second decision, Alec didn€™t hesitate at all, as he pulled back his right hand, gently tugging the fiery chain, and the Bone Katana retracted back into the grasp of his hand.
In a blur of motion, he spun and thrust the blades into the chest of one of the wolves and without pausing he withdrew the weapon and in one smooth movement, swung it horizontally to the other direction, slicing the throat of the second wolf.
As both demonic beasts collapse with heavy thuds, their bodies join the carnage Alec had caused.
Alec wore a wild smile as he surveyed the demonic beasts surrounding him.
He knew his golems were likely working to clear a path to him, but in that moment, he didn€™t care.
The thrill of his Blood killing intent urged him to be more daring.

Ten minutes later, Alec snapped out his right hand like a whip, sending the fiery chain connected to it slap against an Iron back Ape€™s face.
The beast bared its teeth in a furious snarl, but Alec had already coiled the other chain around its leg, as he dragged his left hand back.
The ape stumbled and slammed onto its back, the fiery chain retracting back and pulling the creature towards him.
Just as it drew near, an earth spear that blaze with flames at the tip was conjured by Alec, and impaled into the beast, ensuring it wouldn€™t rise again.
€œLast one down!€ Alec announced, taking a moment to survey his surroundings.
He was encircled by his golem army, which had spent the past ten minutes decimating the demonic beasts that had mistakenly thought they could prey on a weakened team fresh off their battle with the Golden Horned Drake.
But they had been sorely mistaken; the golems had shown no sign of fatigue.
Alec€™s hair returned to its tri-colour form as he felt the strain of using his Killing intent mode for long course through his body.
The ground began swallowing the corpses of the last fallen beasts, repairing itself but the heavy scent of blood lingered in the air.
Although Alec knew the nearby Tier 4 and Tier 5 demonic beasts would hesitate to approach, but he felt it was best to leave before another group dared to challenge them, after all, he was completely exhausted.
€œLet€™s make our way out of here!€ Alec turned and said to his golems, but he noticed their gazes slowly shifting towards the skies.
It was unusual for them to ignore him, so he turned his head slightly to see what had caught their attention.
€œOhhh, fuck!€ Alec cursed as he spotted another Golden Horned Drake gliding down, its small wings flaring behind it.

It wasn€™t just the presence of another Golden Drake that unnerved him; it was the overwhelming aura it exuded.
This beast was clearly at the Peak Tier 6 realm, one of the few pinnacle predators in the second level of the Beast Forest.
Following the Drake€™s gaze, Alec suddenly realized he was in serious trouble.
While he might not have known the nature of the relationship between the Drake he had killed and this one, the blood and scent of slaughtered beasts on him told him all he needed to know about his fate.
€œDie!€ The Golden Drake roared as it swung its right claw, unleashing a brilliant three-light slash that appeared to obliterate anything in its path as it cut through the air toward the entire squad.
Alec raised his hands in a desperate attempt to defend himself, but when the light finally reached him, all he found next was complete darkness.
€œAhhhh!€ Alec screamed in pain as he jolted awake.
His body felt as though it was on fire, but the heat was unlike anything produced by normal flames.
The light slash from the Tier 6 Drake had a burning attribute attached to it.
It was clear the beast wanted Alec and his golems to suffer before they died, but they were too weak to endure that fate.
Unfortunately, some of the residual pain had followed Alec back to the real world.
While Alec was certainly impressed by the Drake€™s strength, what truly captivated him was the realization that he had encountered the first demonic beast capable of speech in the Beast Forest.
As he opened his eyes to this astonishing possibility, he pondered the reasons behind its ability to talk.
€˜Was it due to its Peak Tier 6 status or perhaps its dragon bloodline?
€˜ Alec thought
But regardless of the reason, Alec felt a surge of excitement at the thought of pursuing the Top Drake.
However, he wasn€™t quite ready to dive headfirst into that challenge just yet; after all, he still had a lot to process.
