The Golem Mage - Chapter 62
Chapter 62: Counter Attack Chapter 62: Counter Attack
The leading Goblin said as all the goblins put more strength in their hands, they held on to their shield above their head as if it was their only lifeline.
They shouted as they walked forward one step at a time, not to give up the gap in the shield formation they were maintaining.
However, the new shield formation could not be compared to the one they had done the other time.
After all, their hands were already numb from receiving such a heavy blow.
Now, receiving it again just a few seconds after their hands just received the first shock tormented them.
“Argh,” cries of agony were heard as about twenty goblins were not able to hold on and were stuck straight to death while some were injured.
Alec was surprised that the mages could target the first place they targeted before; if they had targeted another spot that had not faced the earth’s spear before, they could still hold on to one round of the spear attacks.
He looked at them and realized that the one who was level 3 before had just leveled up to level 4 in his earth spear spell skill, while about ten had been promoted to level 3.
This seemed to add more firepower to their already incredible threat; Alec smiled when he saw this improvement.
Now, he didn’t care how many the spear killed as he wanted them to all use the Goblins as practice targets to build all their skills to level 5, then let them harvest the lives of Goblins like knives cutting through butter when they all reached a very high level, Alec giggle evil inside of him when he just thought of the idea.
“I am a genius,” he thought to himself.
“Again!”
“Fire!!” Alec orders again, and he notices the level 4 guy can send about three earth spears now, and he is happy; he does remember that Brandon was able to send about 5 when he was level 4 in the same spell.
However, there was no way he would compare them, as it was clear Brandon would finish 10 of them in a direct fight, and that was just his primary talent.
The goblins were about two hundred kilómeters from them and would be able to get close soon, but still yet, about forty Goblins were killed this time, and it was clear they were used to it.
Alec asked, “Hey bro, do you think you can affect the ground with an earth-shake spell that far away?”
“Let me try!” Brandon said as he stretched his two hands forward, closed his eyes, and tried to concentrate.
After about ten seconds, the result happened after the goblins breached the one hundred and fifty kilometers when they saw no more attacks coming.
But the moment they reached the one hundred and fifty meters, they made it easier for Brandon to affect the ground.
The ground under the goblins became unstable as many stones parted and caved, making their standing unstable.
“Fire!!!” Alec said, and the seventy mages with spears waiting released them, sending them flying into the flocks of the goblins who were still unstable; more than sixty goblins died from the attack.
While some were injured, it was like repeating what happened, which was about to happen again, with the Gordons family killing the Goblins from a distance.
“Sister, do you think they can still win with the same tactic?” Clarisa asked her sister.
“No, the goblins this time are triple the size and triple the strength, and if Alec is wise, I am sure he already has another plan for them as only this kiting technique won’t help them out,” Maria answered, not looking bothered at all.
“Arrows!!!” the leading goblins shouted the moment he saw they were not making any progress, and a few goblins at the back set arrows on their bow and shot.
Alec’s brows were raised, and his expression showed he was not expecting this type of sneak attack the Goblins brought in.
They were trying to copy his Earth Spears tactics but using arrows to recreate them.
Alec smirked when he saw their attempts at attacking him, “Hey, I am leaving this to you, Agnes.”
Alec said as he knew Agnes had reached level 5 in Earth Wall, and from his experience, every spell had a significant change at level 5, so he was pretty confident she could protect them at least.
She shook her head at Alec’s carefree attitude and flicked her wand instantly, without casting any spell, making hand signs, or even saying a word.
A big block of earth rose from the ground and covered them; the arrows left minor scratch marks on the wall before falling to the floor.
Everyone was shocked at the range and power of her spell.
It was clear she was a mighty mage also, which shocked all of them since Alec had not used her since, which made them think, what more was he hiding?

“Run there and break the walls.
They are already scared of us….” the leading goblin said as he was not interested in leading the charge again; the powers the Gordons family showed had shocked him to his core, and he was not ready to die anytime soon.
So he wanted to use the numbers to reduce their numbers first as he stood behind a few Goblins.
At the same time, about two thousand and seven hundred Goblins started running towards the earth Wall the Gordons family hid behind with the Lanzt family.
Just when he was beginning to relax, he felt something rising from the shadows of his horse.
He quickly unsheathed his sword as he had seen one of the Gordons family use the darkness to fight just like the other family who did assassinations did, but he did know the mage was no match for him, so he swung his sword straight for the shadow was still rising.
But just before the sword could cut the shadow, a giant mace came out of the shadow, striking back, and the moment his sword clashed with the mace, he felt a rebounding force coming into his body from the hand he was using to hold the sword.
He and his horse were pushed back as he let go of his sword, and the culprit finally revealed himself in all glory.
The red eyes of Titan were shining ever so brightly, with Knight touching his as he panted earnestly, trying to catch his breath after using the cloak’s power to force transfer teleportation with another person.
The Goblin finally realized who his opponent was.
He was not expecting to be pushed back like that, but seeing the person responsible, he mentally prepared himself for a hard fight.
“Let’s not do that again,” the knight said to Titan, even though he knew he would not get any replies.
After all, Titan does not still talk as it is not the same rank as the other golems that came after him.
The leading Goblins was shocked because he realized he had just lost in a contest of strength against a golem, and there was no way he would forget that golem who still had dried blood of goblins on his mace.
While scheming to draw their stamina before swooping down for a kill, he was not expecting the other side to mount an assassination on him.
“Kill argh!” he screamed as he hit the demonic horse under him to run faster while the goblins close to Titan attacked him.
He swung his mace sideways, generating a lot of wind that blew the weapons directly at him away; it was like he performed a simple wind spell, making the knight open his mouth wide at what he was witnessing.
“Argh,” the leading Goblin shouted as the other goblins were pushed back, but he finally had a chance to swing his sword again.
Before his sword could reach Titan, he saw the golem raising a big shield from his back and dodging his attack, which surprised him.
As that was the first time he saw the golem use the shield, it was a surprise as he felt it was an all-attacking golem.
After dodging the sword strike, Titan swung his spiky mace straight for the goblin’s head; the goblin’s eyes tightened as his mouth twitched.
He was unstable and could not swing his sword back to dodge the attack, so he could only roll off the horse.
He hoped that he could buy some time before the other goblins came back and attacked together since this goblin was a monster, and there was no way he could fight it alone, except he had a suicide wish.
The moment he landed, he felt fresh blood spread all over his face as he tried his best to look.
He used his free hand to clean his face, only to see the golem’s mace deep inside his demonic horse Mount’s head.
There was no way it survived that strike as its brain matters were everywhere.
The Goblin felt his back cold as he realized that strike was meant for him.
Titan removed his mace, and the horse’s body fell with a loud THUD!
Titan directed his eerily red eyes toward the goblins, and he shivered in fear for the first time as he thought.
He had stretched his hand where he shouldn’t have as he could feel the intense killing intent that the golem was sending towards him in waves, stopping him from Trying to run as he was aware that the golem wouldn’t let him go that easily as it was following his master wishes in full blow.
