The Golem Mage - Chapter 624
Chapter 624: Two Scoundrels.
Chapter 624: Two Scoundrels.
€œSo what you€™re telling me is that you were killed just a few seconds ago, and the next thing you know, you€™re being forced out of the Beast Forest back into this void space?€ Alec asked Knight, who had just finished recounting his encounter.
Knight had gone from being randomly spawned among a full pack of beasts to fighting until he was eventually eliminated, it was a short and intense story.
€œYes!€ Knight replied, nodding his head.
€œHmm,€ Alec said, falling into deep contemplation as he considered various options to explore.
€œWell, immerse yourself in that pool over there, it might not have a significant effect on you, but you should be able to recover to some extent, i want you to try entering the door again just for experimentation purposes!€
Alec gestured toward the Mana pool at the side, which emitted an ethereal glow.
€œOkay!€ Knight agreed, dragging his tired self toward the pool and submerging himself.
Just as he dove in, Agnes was unexpectedly thrown out of the Beast Forest door, prompting Alec to look at her in surprise.
€œLet me guess, you were killed?€ Alec asked, noticing the shock on Agnes€™s face as it mirrored Knight€™s pale expression when he was knocked out too.
€œYes, I was!
I thought I was a goner for sure!€ Agnes replied.
€œHmmm, it seems things are different for those of you brought in with external help.
I€™m guessing that as long as I€™m still alive, your consciousness won€™t return to your body,€ Alec started to explain, but then he stopped, staring at Agnes in astonishment.
€œYou€™ve reached the Peak of Tier 4!
Tell me how you accomplished that, because you would need to kill a lot of demonic beasts to reach this level!€ Alec asked, recalling the notification about Knight defeating demonic beasts and learning that he had a 20% share of the experience they all earn so he had shut down the notifications because he wanted to talk to Knight without distractions,
But at the moment Agnes was facing off against a group of panther demonic beasts Alec hadn’t seen any of her notification prompts.
And after hearing Knight mention that they were teleported to random locations, Alec didn’t hold out much hope for Agnes, especially since most beasts in the Beast Forest hunted in packs.
Alec’s advantage was that he was never alone; he always had his golem army at his side, this made him particularly curious about how Agnes had managed to kill enough demonic beasts to achieve a breakthrough in such a short time while still being on her own.
€œMy golems!€ Agnes replied.
Alec : €œ^€
Alec’s expression shifted to one of total blankness, he had been persistently encouraging the entire group to explore the golem path, but due to the clan’s limited resources, everyone had only created one golem each as they didn’t hold much hope for upgrading the golems with all the costs related to golems.
But since it was a compulsory requirement for all clansmen of the Gordons clan to have at least one golem; whether they wanted to use them or not, that was the reason they had made actions to craft at least one golem.
Alec had not had a chance to speak with any of his clansmen since the training for the inter academy competition began, so he wasn€™t fully aware of the changes.
The only thing he knew was that Arthur had crafted a Bronze golem that followed the path of the Third Elder’s Golden Golem refining method.
Now that he considered it more deeply, since Arthur had reached the Tier 4 Mage realm, he could finally undergo the second refining for his golem, which meant it should have attained the Silver Body realm.
Alec realized that not only had he been growing stronger, but his team had also been making progress.
It was just that their advancements weren’t as significant as those of the geniuses from ancient and high-tier clans who received greater support.
But Alec was fully committed to supporting his team until they could stand against the mages of the ancient clans.
After all, he had been accumulating many enemies, and now was not the time for them to be lacking in strength.
Agnes felt a pang of worry when she saw Alec’s blank stare.
However, after about five seconds of contemplation, a smile finally blossomed on his lips.

€œWhat type of golems were you able to create, and how many do you control?€ Alec asked as his curiosity for golems started to ignite again, while extending his hand to help her up.
€œClay Golems and Rock Golems, I have about five different types under my command,€ Agnes replied.
“That’s great!, I see you magic path gives you more control advantage, well Just go rest in the pool first would talk later” Alec said, gesturing toward the spot where he had directed Knight, only to see Knight’s face radiate sheer ecstasy as he sank deeper into the mana pool, his hands resting on the edge.
€œYou really need to check out this pool, Agnes!
I feel like all my fatigue has disappeared, and I believe I can go again after about ten more minutes of rest,€ Knight said, looking towards Agnes, who seemed to have wrapped up her conversation with Alec.
Hearing him speak finally brought Alec’s attention back to Knight, prompting him to ask a question that had been bothering him.
€œWhat about you?
Have you created a golem, and which path did you choose?€ Alec inquired, looking directly at Knight.
€œUm… there’s a little problem with that, I haven’t found a golem that resonates with me yet.
I’m struggling to commit to creating a clay, rock, or iron golem, which are the basics.
I just don€™t feel any affinity for them,” Knight replied, nervously chuckling and scratching his neck.
“And to create those advanced golems, I would need a lot of help from the elders, which I don€™t have since we€™re not back at the clan.€
€œYou could have come to me!
But it€™s all good, after we finish this tournament, I want all of you to come to me with any questions you have about golem creation,€ Alec said.
€œThough I might not be an elder of the clan, but don€™t forget I€™m the heir to the patriarch, and I have way more knowledge about golem crafting than most seniors in the clan.€
€œ Plus, I took private lessons with the fifth elder, so hit me up later, alright?€ Alec added, watching as they both nodded their heads, though it was clear they weren€™t fully listening.
Seeing the expressions on their faces piqued Alec€™s curiosity about how amazing the mana pool must be for them to look so pleased.
However, now he could access the store that was all he wanted to do, so he levitated away while they looked so peaceful.

# Meanwhile, back in the Beast Forest
Arthur and Brandon were sprinting ahead, a full pack of demonic beasts hot on their heels.
€œHey, how can you be so shameless?
You’re the stronger one between us!
Aren€™t you supposed to hold the fort while I run ahead?€ Arthur, encased in shining silver armor that appeared to be his upgraded golem, shouted at Brandon, who was running beside him without a care.
€œHey, I€™m not Knight or Agnes!
We both learned the art of running away when the odds are against us from Alec, do you really think I€™m stupid enough to face this horde alone?
What did you even do to that stupid wolf for it to have the whole pack chasing after us?€ Brandon shot back, keeping pace with Arthur.
€œDon€™t ask-just run!€ Arthur replied, regretting that he hadn€™t run into either Knight or Agnes, because he felt they would have likely been easier to fool in this situation.
The horde had initially been chasing Arthur, Brandon was simply unlucky to have spawned closer to him.
So when Arthur spotted him, he tried to lure the beasts toward Brandon, hoping to leave him to face them while he ran free.
The only flaw in his plan was that he hadn’t anticipated Brandon would abandon any thoughts of acting like a hero and instead join him in fleeing.
€œI really feel like cursing Alec for all those crazy running tactics he taught us in the Second Dimension, but at the same time, I€™m grateful, as it’s only because of those practice runs that we€™re managing to last in this chase,€ Arthur said to Brandon, who just nodded in agreement.
