The Golem Mage - Chapter 625
Chapter 625: Almost.
Chapter 625: Almost.
Arthur and Brandon ran until they reached a towering cliff, leaving them no choice but to look back at the slowly advancing wolf pack.
The beasts were taking their time, encircling them, as if trying to mount some sort of mental pressure on them.
€œFuck, it€™s a dead end!€ Arthur cursed, staring down to see just how deep the drop was, a shiver ran through him as he caught a glimpse of the sheer height.
Brandon, who was beside him, conjured a small stone in his hand, making both Arthur and the wolves think he was about to throw it at them.
But they were all shocked when he instead aimed his hand toward the cliff and tossed the stone down, causing him abs Arthur watched its descent, after about twenty seconds when it reached the bottom, both Arthur and Brandon exchanged anxious glances.
€œHell no!
There€™s no way I€™m going down like that.
I€™d rather be torn apart by wolves in fighting than jump to my death from this height.
I can€™t even imagine the state my body would be in after such a fall,€ Arthur exclaimed, as if he could already read Brandon’s mind.
€œWell, blame me later in the underworld, at least there€™s a better chance of survival down the cliff than facing this entire pack,€ Brandon replied, dragging Arthur along as he jumped off the cliff.
The wolves lunged to reach them, but it was too late; Brandon had propelled himself off the ground using a small earth pillar he manipulated beneath his feet.
€œShit!
Alec!!!€ was the last word Arthur shouted as he and Brandon plummeted from such a height.

When Alec opened the store, he was amazed by what he saw, four sections were already accessible, and though more were still locked, he didn€™t feel too disheartened by it.
As Alec browsed through the store, he realized that everything he needed could be found within its offerings.
What piqued his curiosity most was the Power Stones & Power Crystals section.
When he opened it he noticed an array of elemental power stones that could potentially enhance the elemental affinity of his team members.
While there weren€™t many power crystals available, each one seemed crucial to an armour set he had crafted using the system€™s help.
He spotted a Golden Horn Drake crystal and a Golden Salamander power crystal, both essential things he needed for upgrading his Red Salamander equipment to a Tier 5 set-especially since they were indeed Tier 5 power crystals, and the fact that the currency for these was system points made the process even easier for him.
Aside from the Bloodline section, where he could purchase Bloodline-related skills, demonic beast souls, and equipment effective in Bloodline transformations with Bloodline points, all the other sections accepted system points.
€œNow!!, I can think of a couple of things I want to get my hands on!€ Alec mused, just before he heard a thudding sound that compelled him to close his system and glance towards the first door of the Beast Forest.
He saw Arthur and Brandon groaning in pain as he levitated toward them.
When they looked up at Alec, who stood over them, Arthur complained,
€œWhat a way to go!
You didn€™t tell us that if we die in that space, we€™d be teleported here, I could have just died the easy way; Brandon threw us off a massive cliff!€
€œOh, I see you managed to reach the cliff region, there are some grumpy wolf packs around that area,€ Alec replied.
€œAs for not informing you about the ability to be teleported here back here after death, honestly, I wasn€™t sure it would work for you guys, there was a lot of my calculations which actually went wrong, Additionally, if I had mentioned that you could be brought back here no matter how you were killed in the Beast Forest…€
€œI didn€™t think you would take this seriously!€ Alec said, primarily staring at Arthur, making it clear that his words were aimed at him.
€œSo you mean you sent us there without knowing if we could die for real?€ Arthur began to fume, on the verge of throwing a tantrum, but Brandon quickly chimed in.
€œLook on the bright side, I’ve stepped into the Tier 5 Mage Realm!
And you, Arthur, just need a little push to enter it, too, we might not be in the same realm as those from Onyx Academy, but we won€™t be useless or helpless when the group battle begins,€ Brandon said, eliciting a smile from Alec at their progress.

While neither the knight nor Agnes had the chance to enter the Tier 5 Mage realm before the match, Alec was confident that Arthur would have reached the Tier 5 Mage realm beforehand.
And would be able to solidify his rank alongside Brandon, providing a significant boost to the team, especially considering it was an all-out battle next.
However, his thoughts drifted as he realized he hadn€™t yet considered how to explain his team€™s rapid breakthroughs.
He anticipated many questions when the team realised the Gordons had fast breakthroughs in just a night and didn€™t want anyone, especially Endrick and Sophia, to feel left out.
Since he had integrated them into his clan without his grandfather€™s knowledge, because he was sure they would benefit the clan, but he was uncomfortable exposing the secrets of the amulet to them.
But after thinking long and hard without landing at a solution he Decided to set those thoughts aside for now, and focused on his immediate goal.
Which is the fact that he still wanted to dive into the second door of the Beast Forest and see if he could secure a decent kill before his daily time ran out.
He needed mid-ranked beast carcasses to refine mid-tier pills, gather system points, and assist with the evolution of various aspects within the amulet space.
The Tier 3 and other low rank demonic beasts his team had already killed wouldn€™t suffice, so he pressed on, guiding Brandon and Arthur toward the mana pool.
