The Golem Mage - Chapter 635
Chapter 635: Onyx Vs War God 2.
Chapter 635: Onyx Vs War God 2.
As Alec advanced, he intentionally left his golems behind instead of bringing them along, hoping that the Onyx Academy team would be defeated quickly.
This was all because the Onyx Academy squad had gained the upper hand after the initial clashes and had been pushing the War God Academy team back.
However, once Alec drifted toward their captain, Dorian, on the other side of the battlefield the members of Onyx exchanged knowing glances.
They understood that after casting the Undead Horde spell, Dorian would be in a weakened state.
Typically, Dorian wouldn€™t strain himself to such an extent; he always ensured he had enough mana in reserve for subsequent moves.
Yet he had done something different in this match, given the sheer number of undead creatures on the battlefield, it was clear to anyone watching that despite the rumours about Onyx Academy claiming War God Academy would be easily defeated, their captain was going all out from the beginning not even underestimating their opponents.
€œI€™ll go after him to prevent any disruption to the captain€™s casting; cover for me,€ Kael who was facing Pale Zero said, with a swift movement, he swiped his arm, unleashing a demonic claw that emitted dark smoke toward Pale.
In response, Pale clapped his hands together, generating a frozen shockwave.
But his spell lacked the necessary power, and the black claw tore through Pale€™s attack, forcing him to retreat a step, in order to escape the Claw range.
But as he raised his gaze, he realized that Kael had abandoned their clash and was dashing toward Alec from behind.
Pale kicked off the ground, attempting to rush after him to stop his advance, but just as he moved, another figure blocked his path.
€œYour opponent will be me!€ Draven declared, holding dual swords pointed downward as he locked eyes with Pale.
Pale, frustrated, glanced over at Lucas in surprise.
€œWhy have you let your opponent disrupt the plan and balance?€ Pale snapped, his frustration evident.
He had messed up his own engagement with Kael, and now he felt the weight of failing Alec€™s strategy in his shoulders.
€œIt€™s not easy fighting him alone!
Less talking, help me subdue him quickly!€ Lucas replied, his body flashing with blue tattoos as his longsword transformed into a glaive.
He twisted mid-air as his spirit equipment set covered him, he struck down unleashing a fierce combination of wind and lightning.
Bang!
Lucas€™s powerful strike forced Draven backward, his legs digging into the ground as he struggled to absorb the blow.
Just as Draven was regaining his footing, Pale had dashed forward, hands behind his back, ready to capitalize on Lucas€™s attack.
Draven seeing him from the corner of his eyes, also charged to meet him head-on, slamming his shoulder into Pale, who braced himself by crossing his arms.
The impact sent Pale back, as he slid backwards he left the ground covered in frost, but as he lifted his head, a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.
Draven€™s right hand was weighed down by his weapon that suddenly got heavier, forcing him to look at his sword in surprise.
He realized the center of the blade was encased in black ice, he slowly grunted as he was aware that he wouldn€™t be able to lift the weapon for the next few minutes,
Causing Draven to abandon the sword, knowing the ice€™s effect would render his sword heavy and affect his speed, which made it useless for the time being.
After Pale had demonstrated the black ice ability in his previous battle against Liam, other teams had scrambled to study the ice attribute, recognizing how dangerous and tricky it was.
Yet, despite their research, no effective countermeasure had been found.
All those who researched Pale€™s ice ability concluded that anyone fighting against him should never allow the black ice to attach itself to them.

And if it latched onto any equipment of theirs, they were advised to abandon it immediately before it led to their elimination.
This was why Draven let go of the sword in his right hand, transferring the blade on his left hand to his right as he swung to counter Lucas, who had closed in and was attacking him with a horizontal swing of his glaive.
Sparks ignited where their weapons clashed, and it seemed Lucas was about to overpower him after the augmentation from his spirit equipment set, then, Draven did something shocking.
€œNo matter how much physical strength you have, your mana pool will never be as refined as mine, I still surpass you in realm, let me show you my power!€
[> Mid Tier Spell €“ Shadow Prison <]
Draven casted a spell with his left hand as he bit down on his left thumb before smearing the blood from the small injury on Lucas€™s body.
An ominous feeling washed over Lucas after he did that, and the next second a shadowy hole appeared beneath his feet.
As countless shadowy hands reached out, dragging him into the abyss, despite his desperate struggles, he was unable to halt his descent.
Once he was fully consumed, the shadowy void vanished.
€œNow that the troublesome one is gone, let me deal with you,€ Draven declared as he dashed toward Pale.
He swung his blade directly at Pale€™s neck, clearly intent on decapitating him before anyone could intervene.
However, there was a critical flaw in his plan, Pale wasn€™t hoping for someone to come rescue him, instead he quickly summoned the talisman (a Random Spell Card) that Alec had given him, infusing it with mana just as he saw Draven charging forward.
€œNothing can save you, not even an augmentation from a talisman.
There€™s no bridging the gap between us!€ Raven shouted thinking Pale had brought out an Augmentation talismans to boost his strength,
But as his sword neared Pale€™s neck.
It was at that precise moment that the Random Spell Card activated.
In just a split second, a hazy mental image of a Tier 5 Shadow Alpha wolf materialized before Pale.
It resembled a drawing, but one sketched with dark elemental hues, outlining every shape and contour, giving a feeling of flesh and blood despite just being a manifestation.
Without hesitation, the Alpha shadow wolf swiped its claws unleashing its whole dark element in one swipe, it had sensed that its summoner was in danger and that is why it had just attacked first.
Not only did it deflect Draven€™s attack, but it also sent him flying backward until Draven€™s back crashed onto the ground.
Draven forced himself to rise to his feet, but he was taken aback by the unexpected move, he hadn€™t anticipated a beast manifestation talisman, that was known as one of the rarest talismans.
His eyes widened as he contemplated the strike that had just sent him flying, wondering who could have crafted such a talisman, if it had been given to pale by either the War God Academy or the Zero clan to protect him.
Because even though the manifested beast was at the Tier 5 realm like him, the force of the claw felt as if he were facing a genuine Tier 6 Mage.
In that brief moment of the attack, he had gathered all his Mana to transform into a shadow body to escape the attack, while using his Qi to protect himself before the transformation concluded.
Yet, the claw strike not only disrupted his transformation but also shattered his Qi armour, leaving his body marked with deep claw cuts from the wolf€™s image glaring at him.
€œHey, Dreamer, help me make a sliding track!€ Legion€™s commanding voice reached Pale from way back, as he woke the still dazed pale from his astonishment of the wolf€™s move
Causing him to Turn, and he saw the golem who issued the command still far behind.
Though he disliked taking orders from a golem, but he quickly realized that all of Alec€™s golems had stayed behind to ensure the first stage of the plan was completed on time.
So despite his reluctance, he complied.
On the other side, Draven was surprised to see a golem rushing to join the fray, it was then that he noticed Pale extending his hands forward, freezing a direct line toward him.
Slii…
Legion wasted no time as he approached, he leaped onto the ice path created for him by Pale, sliding swiftly toward Draven until he was directly beneath him.
Draven looked down, only to be met with an unexpected attack, a blazing laser spear pierced through his head, obliterating everything in its path as its white light flashed downward.
He had moved his hand to block the sneak attack of legion but against an intermediary spear Master, such effort at close distance was futile especially when they were in the same realm
€œHave…
I just…
been…
defeated by a golem…
in mere seconds…€ Draven muttered, unable to believe his eyes as the light enveloped him, marking him as Legion€™s first kill, and the first in the match
€œHa…
Ha…
Aaah, one down, nine more to go!€ Legion laughed, sounding maniacal to Pale due to the mechanical nature of his laughter.
Although Pale had grown accustomed to Alec€™s talking golems, but Legion still gave him the creeps.
A black hole appeared in the sky, dropping Lucas to the ground.
With the caster of the shadow prison dead, it was no surprise that he was released from the shadow prison holding him captive.
Legion quickly composed himself, kneeling on one knee, unconcerned about the ongoing battle, confident that the other golems were handling it.
His focus was on someone who had gone after Alec, someone he intended to eliminate.
Legion was determined not to let anyone interrupt his master.
As he prepared, the laser spear in his hand began to transform.
Countless mechanisms from the gauntlet on his right hand disassembled and attached to the spear, reshaping it.
In the next moment, it had transformed into a mechanized sniper rifle that was imbued with Mana infused laser bullets, Legion raised the newly constructed weapon, aiming by placing the scope close to his right eye.
He didn€™t even squint, as his cyborg golem design allowed him to see all the details clearly, perfectly programmed and crafted for such precision.
€œSay cheese!€ was the last thing Pale heard before a resounding bang filled the air.
In an instant, he watched a bullet fly faster than anything he had ever seen.
The next moment, the head of the guy chasing Alec exploded into pieces, and the body hit the ground with a heavy thud.
The white light shone down again on the battlefield, taking away the body of the newly eliminated member of the Onyx Academy.
Making it two out of two for Titan in just a few seconds.
