The Golem Mage - Chapter 642
Chapter 642: Overlord’s Domination.
Chapter 642: Overlord’s Domination.
Alec fixed his gaze on Dorian, who was now floating before him, radiating a Tier 6 aura.
A deep frown etched across his face; Dorian had clearly undergone a significant transformation after casting the Undead Overlord spell.
In fact, discussions were erupting not just among the regular audience but also within the VIP section.
The Undead Overlord spell was a High Tier spell that only mages who had reached high rank realm could cast.
But yet, it seemed the spell had been modified by an expert close to Dorian, the expert had clearly modified the spell with preference of Dorian creating some type of lower version of the spell, so it was at a level where it would be possible for Dorian to cast it as long as he had enough Mana.
However, one nagging detail tugged at the back of Alec€™s mind.
He was certain that all these necromancy spells required immense amounts of mana to activate.
The previous spell that summoned the undead army had nearly drained Dorian to the point of exhaustion, forcing him to hide among his own army like a regular undead to avoid detection.
But now, he had just cast a spell close to high rank, so there was no way Alec could believe Dorian had enough mana left to maintain this form without some severe consequences.
Determined to act quickly, Alec resolved to move in and ensure Dorian didn€™t take any pills to recover his mana or maintain the Undead Overlord form.
But before he could spring into action, he watched in disbelief as the remaining lower-ranking undead from Dorian€™s army began to disintegrate.
Just as they were about to vanish completely, streaks of eerie death Qi and mana rushed toward Dorian in the sky, causing the colour on Alec€™s face to drain.
€œAnd there goes my theory!€ Alec cursed, feeling Dorian€™s mana surge in real time.
Although he desperately wanted to strike Dorian, he hesitated, wary of making any rash moves that might inadvertently endanger his teammates.
€œHey, all of you who haven€™t entered the Tier 5 Mage Realm need to move further back, you€™re no longer qualified to spectate this fight from such close distance.€
€œ If you get caught up in this, there€™s only one outcome: immediate death,€ Alec warned, turning his head to address the rest of his team.
Without wasting a moment, most of his team swiftly retreated, while Lucas, Beatrice, Endrick, Pale, Arthur, Brandon, and the rest of his golems remained behind him.
€œHmm, I thought you claimed this was going to be a one-on-one battle, just you and me.
Yet when I look behind you, all I see is a group of shameless mages planning to gang up on me,€ Dorian called down from his elevated position.
€œLook who€™s calling us shameless!
If you had truly followed the duel rules I set, then why have you absorbed your entire undead army?€ Alec shot back, not wanting to lose out on the exchange of words.
€œAt that moment, that could also be seen as a breach of the rules.
To me, I€™m not facing just one mage but countless enemies, I€™m just grateful the strength you wield now is a temporary one and not permanent,€ he continued, scrutinizing Dorian€™s new form.
A crown made of Black thorns rested atop Dorian€™s head, with his long sword levitating nearby.
Moreover, the armor he had worn to disguise his aura as an undead had undergone a transformation.
It appeared to have evolved, fully encasing Dorian€™s body and exuding an otherworldly presence that oozed out Death Qi constantly.
€œI see it€™s a spirit equipment set, not just a low-level one like mine, but a mid-rank Tier 4 spirit equipment.
This situation just keeps getting messier.
Do I really need to go all out here?€ Alec thought, mentally running through simulations of just how much power he€™d need to show to be able to finally rid himself of Dorian.

€œNo need to wait any longer; all of you, come at me!€ Dorian shouted as he propelled his body down to the ground, causing a slight tremor.
Yet, this display of strength didn€™t deter the War God Academy team from charging forward.
Lucas was the first to reach him, leaping into the air with his right hand drawn back, as he drew back ready to swing his glaive, his aim was clearly to cleave through Dorian.
Meanwhile, Beatrice€™s Flaming Swordsman puppet approached from the left, as it was being controlled by Beatrice due to the Mana strings attached to its back.
Though it was a tad slower than Lucas, but it synchronized its attack well with Lucas, as it swung its flaming broadsword towards Dorian€™s right ribcage.
Bang!
In an instant, it seemed as though time slowed around Dorian, with both weapons advancing toward him at a crawl.
He extended his right hand, and his long sword slid back into his grasp.
With both hands, he turned the blade till its tip point downward.
[> Mid Tier Spell €“ Overlord€™s Domination <]
With an eerie smile tugging at the corners of his lips, he slammed the blade into the ground while casting a spell linked to his new form.
A shockwave rippled outward, flinging those who charged at him backward.
But for Lucas and the Flaming Swordsman puppet, the situation was even more dire.
Due to being closer to Dorian when he unleashed the spell, they were slammed to the ground as if a tremendous gravitational force had been activated around them.
They struggled to rise, but it became increasingly difficult with every second they lasted under the force-field of the Overlord Domination.
Dorian released his right hand grip on the sword hilt, as he raised the same right hand up as if summoning something.
Soon dark fog coalesced around his outstretched hand, reshaping into a dark spear adorned with lines of eerie green energy, resembling runes.
Swish!
With two swift flicks of his wrist, Dorian sent the two spears hurtling toward Lucas and the puppet on the left.
They were struck down instantly, without any chance of resistance.
The white light flashed down, but this time it wasn€™t for the Onyx Academy; it was for a member of the War God Academy team.
It marked their first elimination, and Dorian had orchestrated it all while maintaining eye contact with Alec, who glared at him from a distance with a look that promised retribution, but Dorian didn€™t care, as he stared back at Alec as if he was daring Alec to make his move.
