The Golem Mage - Chapter 646
Chapter 646: Prince Of Golems.
Chapter 646: Prince Of Golems.
The audience was perplexed when they saw Alec relax his guard, almost as if he had given up any chance to defend himself.
Alec sighed after realizing what Dorian€™s final move was all about.
He whipped his hand toward his Blood Changdao, which had been thrown aside during the heat of battle.
As a flaming whip materialized from his hand towards the weapon, it coiled around the hilt of the weapon, and with a gentle tug from Alec, the whip retracted, bringing the weapon back to his hand.
€œHere I was thinking I could coast through this round without showing some cards, but you€™ve lived up to your reputation as one of the Great Eight Academy captains,€ Alec said, his tone grim.
€œYou€™ve pushed me to the edge.
I know I can€™t match you in spells and mana, but if my guess is right, you€™re running low on mana after casting spells beyond your rank €œ
€œI initially thought the mana you absorbed from your undead army might have sustained you, but we both know you didn€™t have enough time to refine it the mana properly for your use since you were in battle in me, so you must have just been using it unrefined which makes it deplete at a much faster rate €œ
€œ And that€™s why you€™ve cast this spell to enhance your martial abilities, because you€™re desperate, running low on mana, and in a hurry to finish this, well, lucky for you, I€™m in a hurry too so I don€™t show more than intended.€
Alec€™s eyes gleamed as he added,
€œIn fact, what I€™m about to show you is something I€™ve never tried openly before, It€™s just a theory, but you should be proud, you€™re the first person I€™ll use most of them on€ Alec said as he wiped blood from the corner of his lips with his left hand.
Dorian snickered at Alec€™s words, his confidence soaring, he didn€™t believe Alec could do anything to change the tide now, as he stepped forward, he shifted forms once again.
[> Fifth Form €“ Lich Mid Tier Spell €“ Mana Disruption <]
The Golem casted a spell, unleashing a surge of mana that appeared colourless, making it difficult for the audience to discern its affinity.
Instead, they saw a translucent energy akin to Qi spreading outward like a force field, with the Hunter as its center.
As the dark energy shot toward Alec and reached the force field, it trembled and quivered as if disoriented by some unseen force, scattering long before it reached the Hunter who was at the front.
Dorian was taken aback, shocked at how easily his spell had been neutralized by one of Alec€™s golems.
Looking around, he realized he had been surrounded.
Titan, Legion, Oni, Hive Queen, Magnito, Sword Saint, and finally, Tempest Butcher encircling him, their nonchalant expressions only fueled Dorian€™s frustration.
€œYou have the gall to think you can defeat me with numbers?
Where€™s your honor?
Whatever happened to that past version of you who talked about fair fights?€ Dorian sneered.
Despite feeling he could still win, the sheer aura emanating from the golems suggested that victory would not be easy.
And he was trying to taunt Alec into facing him directly.
Alec merely raised an eyebrow, silent.
€œ¬€
€œSeriously?
You want to discuss fairness when you€™ve absorbed the power of an entire undead army?€ Alec retorted, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
€œThey are part of my power; they are mine!
I walk the path of a necromancer,€ Dorian snapped back.
€œWell, who told you that you were the only special one?
I€™m a golem mage too; I follow the path of the golem, i never claimed to be a battle mage, so what€™s wrong with me fighting alongside my golems?€ Alec said, his shamelessness revealing a rare expression that only a few, like Arthur and Brandon, had seen before.
The audience, the Deans, the Great Eight captains, and even Dorian was shocked, not merely by Alec€™s unabashed attitude but by the realization that they had been categorizing him as a battle mage all along.
They had overlooked the fact that he didn€™t fight alone.

Alec had always charged headfirst into battle, unlike other golem mages, who preferred to remain safely behind their golems, issuing orders.
This vital distinction had eluded them, even though they were aware of his identity as a golem mage.
His unparalleled battle skills had obscured the true nature of his path for far too long.
€œA wise man once told me that if I relied too heavily on my golems in every fight, I would never grow, he may not have known me well, but I took his words to heart and tried my best not to overuse my golems, in situations I felt I could solve€ Alec continued.
€œBut whenever I€™m pushed to the wall, you can be damn sure I won€™t hesitate to call on them.
Boys, finish him!€ Alec ordered.
He crossed his arms, and the golems raised their weapons as they charged toward Dorian, with Titan leading the charge.
Only Hunter remained behind, guarding Alec.
# Ten Minutes Later
The audience was engulfed in silence, hardly able to believe their eyes, Dorian was being thoroughly overwhelmed, as he realized that he had greatly underestimated the golems.
Despite being a Tier 6 mage, he found himself in a difficult position against the coordinated assault of seven golems, each possessing superior battle power.
Bang!
As Titan€™s mace smashed down on Dorian, Legion unleashed spear Qi empowered by laser energy, while Oni wreaked havoc with his scythe.
Sword Saint didn€™t relent either, synchronizing all his attacks with the other golems, Or he covered the backs of the other golems whenever Dorian counterattacked.
Butcher, Hive Queen, and Magnito acted as support, yet it was clear that Hive Queen was the true nuisance.
She frustrated Dorian by expertly manipulating her webs, preventing most of his combo attacks from linking up, and had some of her minions suck from his already diminishing Mana.
The audience couldn€™t help but glance between the two captains, Dorian, slowly bleeding out and running low on mana, and Alec, who sat imperiously on an earthen throne he had erected, with Hunter standing guard beside him, it was a cold picture etched on their mind.
This scene caused many of Alec€™s die-hard fans to reminisce about his first match, the one that earned him the title €œPrince of Golems.€
Dorian faced the most humiliating defeat of all the captains Alec had faced; he was defeated by what he viewed as mere summons all through the match.
In this moment, everyone watching finally glimpsed the true power of Alec€™s golems, igniting discussions and unrest throughout the crowd.
Yet, at the final moment, when they witnessed the white light flashing down and signalling the defeat of the last member of the Onyx Academy, they all erupted in cheers.
