The Golem Mage - Chapter 661

Chapter 661: Blood Reaper 2.
The blade swung back with a blood coated aura, spinning rapidly before decapitating the Arctic Bear in one clean motion.
It was as if there was no resistance at all.
Alec noticed that the sword continued its return back to Alec even after slaying the bear, causing Alec to quickly summon the Changdao scabbard into his outstretched right hand.
The blade rotated back into its sheath smoothly, bringing with it the drained blood from the bear.
The bear’s body slumped to the ground, completely devoid of blood, as the blade clicked when it finally settled into its sheath, Alec watched as the levitating blood was absorbed by the blade, disappearing entirely.
“Now that’s some cool moves,” Alec remarked, noticing the blade vibrating lightly and emitting a blood-red glow.

After seeing the system notification, Alec watched as the weapon levitated into the air.
‘Even you are going into an upgrade.
What’s up with all of this subordinate and weapon leaving me today?’ Alec thought.
A roar echoed through the air, with the death of the Peak Tier 5 Arctic Bear, the remaining Overlord ice demonic beasts decided it was time to reveal themselves.
They realized that if they stayed hidden, Titan would complete his evolution, rendering their journey to get his core pointless.
Having gauged Alec’s power from the Arctic Bear’s demise, none of the beasts wanted to face him alone.
It was as if they had reached a silent agreement even without speaking, that they needed to confront Alec together to stand a chance to eliminate him.
Four different Overlord demonic beasts emerged from hiding, each accompanied by their own wave of minions.
€œCome on, we€™re not even through this wave yet, and the third wave is about to join in, this isn€™t fair at all!€ Butcher exclaimed as he hurled his axe forward.
And it cleaved through the demonic beast army, none of them able to withstand the sheer force behind it or the destructive lightning that struck upon contact.
Once the axe lost momentum, Butcher simply resummoned the lightning axe; the one he had thrown vanished in a puff of electricity, while it re-materialized in his hand, like some sort of recall spell.
Alec watched as the four remaining Peak Tier 5 demonic beasts finally emerged from hiding.
Quickly, he activated his inspect skill on them.

After reviewing the information on the new beasts, Alec realized he was in deep trouble.
In a one-on-one battle, he was confident he could take any of them on at any time.
However, taking on all four together especially when they were planning on working in unison felt like a suicide mission.
Although the Arctic Bear had formidable defense, but even these new contenders each possessed unique abilities.
The Frost Wolf was not only massive but also led a pack that was hardly shorter than it.
And dealing with a wolf pack had never been easy for Alec, as they were always skilled at coordinating their attacks.
Meanwhile, the Ice Serpent boasted scales that shimmered like icicles.
As it exhaled a freezing mist, the surroundings transformed into a frozen wasteland, creating the perfect battlefield for the newly emerged ice-element beasts.
Alec lost sight of the Snow Leopard and its companions, who seemed to vanish the moment the Ice Serpent released its mist.

Looking up, Alec locked gazes with the Gryphon, the mythical creature that was a combination of both an eagle and a lion.
The Gryphon spread its wings wide as its face displayed the disdain it held for Alec.
Though Alec didn€™t understand animal language, but he could sense that the Gryphon was undoubtedly the leader of this small group of beasts ready to fight him.
€œDamn, I just have to hold on a little longer,€ Alec murmured.
He loved battle, but with Titan’s breakthrough at stake, he truly needed to do his best to hold off the four of them to provide enough time for Titan to complete his breakthrough.
He was even surprised that his time hadn€™t run out, which would have resulted in him being expelled from the Beast Forest.
Now, all he wanted to do was keep the remaining four bosses occupied while hoping that his outnumbered golem army would be able to hold the line.
€œCome and get it!€ Alec shouted as he dashed toward the Gryphon in the air, with his Changdao still in a trance-like upgrade.
He decided to stick to what next he had available as he solidified the Blood Scythe in his left hand, which shimmered like it was made of red crystal.
€œHaaaa!€ Alec shouted as he raised the weapon above his head, gripping it with both hands as he prepared to swing down.
But the Gryphon merely flapped its wings in his direction, unleashing a blizzard that blasted Alec toward the Ice Serpent.
As he saw where he was headed and the way the serpent was manipulating its tail to strike him, he quickly dissolved the scythe and transformed it into a shield.
Just as the tail came crashing down, the blood shield crystallized.
Bang!
Alec was sent flying as a sonic boom erupted, crashing into three trees before coming to a stop.
The four beasts turned to look in his direction as he slowly stood up.
€œShit, this hurts.
I guess this is one of the disadvantages of not having armor.
I hate how well they coordinate,€ Alec said, rising to his feet with blood dripping from the edge of his lips.
The blood shield had been destroyed as it reverted back to its liquid form, floating in front of him.
