The Golem Mage - Chapter 679

Chapter 679: Iron Body 3.
With all noise eliminated, Alec was finally able to concentrate fully on the multitude of tasks he had at hand.
Those outside the sphere could still see what he was doing, and when they noticed the cauldron opening and Alec exerting his gravity manipulation to force the golem inside, shock rippled through the crowd.
Boom!
Alec ignited his Mana with his flame element, forming hell flames beneath the cauldron.
Unlike typical red flames that would extinguish without support, the hell flames could endure and burn until the Mana infused within them dissipated.
Variant flames were especially special; because without them, forgers could never create great spirit equipment, nor could alchemists craft super pills, it all came down to the variant flames.
Since the hell flames were established first as a foundation, when the red flames were summoned by Alec and directed beneath the levitating cauldron, they melded with the hell flames, amplifying the flame power.
At this point, sweat dripped from every pore on Alec€™s body as he focused intently on the levitating pot.
He lightly tapped the cauldron with his left hand while keeping his eyes closed, using his mental stats to probe the condition of the golem inside.
As his mental senses penetrated the depths of the cauldron, he realized the golem was sitting, using its hands to hold its legs together.
Despite the roaring flames surrounding it and the suffering of its iron body, its eyes remained dull, a noticeable difference Alec observed.
His own golems were full of life because they had awakened their consciousness and developed their own egos, allowing them to make certain decisions without his commands.
This all stemmed from their shared experiences with Alec, which had helped shape their egos over time.
Titan was the cold and domineering one, while Legion was competitive and a showoff, and Oni was a pure killer with ruthless battle minions.
Each golem was developing its own unique identity, reflecting their individual personalities.
Only the golems of the elders and the patriarch seemed to have developed egos back in the clan.
Alec decided not to dwell on this too much; he felt confident that he could awaken consciousness in Arthur€™s Iron Body Golem, just as he had done with Agnes€™s golems.
It would ultimately be up to the owner and the experiences they shared to determine the type of ego the golem would develop.
Alec continued with the procedure as outlined, using his Mana and gravity manipulation to move items within the cauldron.
He added spirit water, mid-rank power crystals of Light, Earth, and Metal elements, along with various supporting resources he had gathered, including the mid-rank silver spirit metal that Pale had recognized.
The Gordon clansmen watched with rapt attention; as this was something they were supposed to understand.
They were surprised to see Alec introduce three different elements power crystals into the mix with the golem, but no one dared to question him.
Because despite their instincts warning them that such a combination would likely lead to combustion, their hearts reassured them to €œalways trust Alec, no matter the situation.€
As Alec moved around, slapping the cauldron€™s body, they initially found it confusing, gradually, they realized that with each slap, the cauldron shimmered with a bluish light.
Upon closer inspection, they understood that Alec was infusing his Mana into the cauldron to help reshape the golem€™s body.
€œFuck this golem, this is exhausting me more than usual,€ Alec thought, continuing to follow the steps and sending Mana to various points within the cauldron to balance the ongoing evolutionary process.
Throughout his experience, this was the most stressful task he had undertaken, at this moment, Alec began to harbour a slight resentment towards the Iron Body Golem; although it appeared to be a single entity, he quickly realized just how taxing it was to conduct an evolution on such a golem.
Its body was composed of various smaller parts that came together to form a whole, and Alec had to work on each of these components.
With the process needing to be perfectly balanced; otherwise, the pieces wouldn€™t synchronize properly, which would prevent the issues with its evolutionary path from being rectified.

Through his mental senses, Alec could perceive that inside the pot, the different parts of the golem were now swirling around.
Ten minutes later, after completing the step-by-step process directed by the system a bright flash of light erupted from the cauldron.
As different parts of the golem shot out and began revolving in the air, glowing with an intense silver light, the sight captivated everyone watching, drawing their focus as the various pieces started to come together, ultimately merging to form the complete body of Arthur€™s Iron Body Golem.

Evolution Completed]
[Rewards will be granted to you!]
That was the last thing Alec saw before the system forced a large stream of information into his mind, causing him to lose consciousness.
As that happened, Legion abandoned the sphere it was supporting and rushed to catch Alec€™s body, allowing Arthur and some onlookers to come closer to assess either Alec or the levitating golem before them.
With the evolution complete, the once active cauldron disintegrated into ashes.
At that moment, everyone was more concerned about Alec than about where the cauldron had vanished to.
Selene slowly placed her hand on Alec€™s neck to check his status.
€œHe€™s okay, he probably just exerted himself with everything he did.
He€™ll likely just need a couple of hours of sleep to recover,€ Selene said.
And the Gordons sighed in relief and turned their attention back to inspect Arthur€™s golem properly.
