The Golem Mage - Chapter 686
Chapter 686: The Tear Search.
Chapter 686: The Tear Search.
The king of the Northern Kingdom sat on his throne, propping his chin up with his left hand.
As a group of eccentric-looking mage elders entered the throne room, where he was deep in discussion with his right and left generals.
“This better be good!” the king retorted, eyeing the elders who had come to visit him, as he waved his hands to his general signalling for the to leave the room.
“Your Majesty, I have come to report on the task you assigned to us,” one of the elders said.
“Yes, what is the progress?” the king asked, impatience evident in his voice.
“There have been no disturbances in space since that day, and we did everything we could to pinpoint the location of the tear with the lingering aura,” the elder continued, his tone somber.
“However, we have failed in this endeavour, it seems that the aura from the tear has completely dissipated as the space has recovered, leaving us unable to complete the task you entrusted to us.” The elder bowed his head as low as possible, hoping the king could sense their heartfelt apology for not finding the location of the tear in space that had manifested in the capital.
€œDamn!
You incompetent fools!
You should have chosen another profession,€ the king thundered.
€œA tear occurred right here in the capital, and even I felt it!
Yet you failed to determine its source?€
€œIf this tear is related to the second-dimensional races and you can€™t provide me with answers, then forget about being astral seekers!
I will make sure you never find work again!
Tomorrow is the blood moon, so go back and continue your readings.€
€œTomorrow is the day they might attack.
I have to ensure that I€™m not caught in a trap from both sides,€ the king roared, watching as the elders bowed again, apologizing before hastily exiting the throne room.
A few days before the blood moon, there had been disturbances in space, and considering that the second Dimension race that is overseeing the space gate above the palace had threatened to finally launch an attack after all this while, it got the king consumed by fear as he felt it might be related to them.
He was not a strong-minded person to begin with, and that was the reason he even established the finals of the inter academy competition in the palace, just to ensure that all the top brass mages from various academies, along with clan elders and their patriarchs, would be present when it all unfolded on the Blood Moon day.
As usual, the king was being selfish and didn’t care about endangering the lives of numerous low-tier mages; he simply wanted his home to be more protected than anywhere else.

Meanwhile, Alec had finally returned to his room at night and was preparing to pull his clansmen back into the Amulet world.
Unbeknownst to him, the last time he had done this, it had caused a slight disturbance in space, prompting the king to gather a team to pinpoint the source.
When they had set up the tracking star array, they struggled to locate the tear in space.
In fact, they noticed it was closing up fast, and the only thing left for them to do was to use the residual aura from the torn space to try to locate it.
However, even that had proven harder than expected, as the aura didn€™t connect to any specific location despite its presence in the capital’s space.
This prompted the elders in charge to report back to the king.
But at this moment, Alec was unwittingly about to create another tear in space as he would be dragging his clansmen consciousness in the Amulet space again, while being completely unaware of the efforts being made to track his location.
The process with the tree branches happened once again.
As a branch emerged from the torn space behind Alec, shooting out four sub-branches that poked each of his clans member sitting before him, causing them to fall to the ground, asleep.
Once it had completed its task, the branch shrank back into the open space, as the void repaired itself back
With this accomplished Alec too closed his eyes, as he connected to the Amulet resting on his chest and entered the Amulet world with ease.

When he appeared, he noted that his Gang were not as lost as they had been last time; they were eagerly waiting for his instructions.
€œToday, you will all be going to the second level of the Beast Forest.
Hold hands!€ Alec commanded as he levitated towards the entrance of the second level of the Beast Forest.
The first time they had been here, Alec had pushed them all through the first door so they could experience the forest€™s wonders together.
However, during their last visit, they had been separated and teleported to different locations, which is why Alec was now trying a different approach before sending them through the door again.
With each of them holding hands, Alec focused on the image of the shadow wolves before instructing them to jump.
He wanted to see if he could transport them to a specific location, just as he usually did when entering himself.
As they leaped into the gate, it expanded slightly to accommodate all of them at once.
Once they were gone, Alec summoned Titan, the moment Titan emerged from the space pouch, the temperature around him dropped, as Alec thought of the ice elemental beast regions, before asking Titan to go into the second gate.
As a Tier 6 quasi-lord golem, Titan had the ability to summon ten golems, five of which were already at the Tier 5 realm.
Titan alone constituted a formidable battle force, and Alec was determined to harness that strength for farming in the beast forest.
After sending Titan on his way, Alec summoned the rest of his golems.
Because while Titan could stand alone as a powerhouse, the same couldn€™t be said for the other golems, though they held a numerical advantage, Alec knew they hadn€™t reached the same level of damage potential as Titan and his minions.
Therefore, he assigned each of his main golems the task of hunting Tier 5 demonic beasts with their summoned minions.
Those without minions were paired with those who did, effectively increasing the quotas for their joint teams.
That€™s how Alec sent his group and golems into the second level to farm for beast souls and experience points while he relaxed and did nothing.
€œIt€™s only now that I€™m truly enjoying this cultivation thing, advancing without even lifting a finger is sweet!
Let€™s go check my loot and organize it,€ Alec said, placing his hands behind his head as he strolled toward the Ancient primordial tree.
He began using his system points to harvest the massive ripe fruit sized leaves, watching as numerous items gathered and levitated in the air before him.
But Alec didn€™t hold back; as he continued to spend every last point he had, planning to stop only when he either ran out of system points or finished harvesting all the ripe leaves.
