The Golem Mage - Chapter 716

Chapter 716: Rich Kid Aura 2.
Alec had likely already decided to use his hard earned low Tier 6 random spell cards to shift the battle€™s momentum if needed, he knew that even the low Tier 6 demonic beasts from the Beast Forest had battle prowess nearing the Tier 7 realm.
With such a trump card in his hand, he believed he could turn the tide, mitigate the human mages numerical disadvantage, and bring the battle to a swift end, as a prolonged battle wasn€™t ideal for them, especially since there was no guarantee reinforcements would arrive anytime soon.
Alec had already sensed intense mana activity in the north, south, east, and west of the capital, and he recalled from his previous visit to the capital, that they had been defending against four high space gates simultaneously.
Which confirmed that the entire Northern Kingdom€™s capital was under siege from the four corners against if the Royal palace wasn€™t counted.
It was clear they might be left to fend for themselves for some time, prompting Alec to rely solely on his own strength to protect those within his reach.
For the first time, Alec resolved to use his collection of random spell cards without hesitation.
The Tier 5 cards became his primary tools, while the Tier 6 cards were reserved for demons at the peak of the Tier 6 realm.
It wasn€™t just because the Low Tier 6 cards held the power to take down such formidable foes, but also because his supply of Tier 6 cards was limited.
This scarcity was due to the fact that it was only recently that his golem, Titan, had advanced to the Tier 6 realm, granting Alec the firepower needed to challenge low Tier 6 demonic beasts from the Beast Forest.
Titan and his minions had strategically targeted low Tier 6 beasts that hadn€™t fully consolidated their realms, taking advantage of their incomplete physique, this allowed Alec to loot a small number of Tier 6 cards, which he carefully conserved as critical trump cards.
Acting on this plan, he had summoned a random skill card that came from a Peak Tier 5 Talisman, but it was radiating an aura that rivalled that of a Peak Tier 6 lifeform due to the fact that the beast from the Beast forest always had battle powers above their realms.
This is why the Demonkin had been deceived and mistook it for a Peak mid grade attack talisman(Tier 6).
Though Alec had been quick to summon the random spell card and infuse a flicker of mana into it, but it still didn€™t change the fact that he had been too slow to prevent the attack that sent him hurtling deep into the stage.
Yet, that flicker of mana was all it took to activate the spell card, as Alec lay amidst the debris with blood dripping from the corner of his lips, a wild grin spread across his face.
He wiped the blood away and watched intently the spell card get to work.
Before the flaming-skinned demon could react, a golden horned drake materialized from the activated spell card( he would be seeing a Talisman though).
The massive beast gave the Demonkin no time to escape, opening its maw wide, it unleashed a its breath attack that incinerated the Demonkin entirely only leaving behind a pool of blood, reducing it to nothing more than a speck of dust before vanishing, as if it were merely a fragment of the elemental particles in the air.
Alec laughed aloud, his voice echoing across the battlefield, as he pushed himself out of the debris, stretching out his left hand, he summoned the blood of the slain demon.
The crimson fluid separated into three streams: one merged with the bloodlust fog hovering ominously above Alec€™s head, another was absorbed by his robe cape, and the last was drawn into his weapon.
The scythe gleamed with renewed power, its aura more menacing than ever, having consumed the blood of a high Tier 6 demon.
€œGet ready to die, all of you,€ Alec declared, his voice dripping with menace, as he released his hold on the scythe, letting it hover beside him autonomously.
Though the weapon€™s bleeding bonus was lost momentarily, but Alec wasn€™t overly concerned about that as he reached into his space ring with his mental senses and summoned ten random spell cards, five in each hand.
These weren€™t ordinary cards.
Each was derived from Peak Tier 5 demonic beasts that had been slain in the Beast Forest, and they all had the ability to surpass their realms in battle prowess.
So the cards also carried enough power to instantly annihilate High Tier 6 lifeforms, and can inflict severe injuries on an unsuspecting Peak Tier 6 demon, and lightly wound even a vigilant one.
Alec€™s confidence grew with these in his hands, as he prepared to unleash devastation.
But Alec estimated that it might take two simultaneous attacks from a Peak Tier 5 random spell card to eliminate a Peak Tier 6 Demonkin, and he decided it wasn€™t worth the cost, so he chose to focus his efforts on High Tier 6 Demonkins instead and leave the few peak Tier 6 Demonkins to the Tier 6 mages present.
Still, he kept a backup plan in mind, his low Tier 6 random spell cards were ready to be deployed should any Peak Tier 6 Demonkin make a move against him.

After witnessing how the High Tier 6 flaming-skinned demon had come at him earlier despite only staying at the edges of the Tier 6 battlefield, Alec understood the unpredictability of a chaotic battlefield like this one.
Even though the demons had divided themselves to fight human mages of corresponding tiers, Alec knew they could easily turn their attention to him if they perceived him as too dangerous.
The Blood Moon€™s rules would not restrict such actions, especially since there was already a battlefield rules in play.
Meanwhile, in the second section of the VIP booth, the Academy leaders and various clan elders who were immobilised were all astonished as Alec produced a talisman to shift the tide of what had appeared to be a disadvantageous battle against the High Tier 6 flaming skinned demon.
The talismans he used is clearly a rare one that can only be crafted by a top Mid Tier talisman master, caused murmurs of jealousy and speculation among them.
Their suspicion of the War God Mage Academy deepened, it was now apparent to them that the academy might possess not just a talented craftsman but also a talisman master, an alchemist, and an array master.
And all of them seemed to have achieved the pinnacle of their respective Mid Tier professions, this suggested that these mages weren€™t mere prodigies but highly skilled individuals who had likely reached at least the Peak Tier 6 realm.
The spectators knew that advancing to such professional heights wasn€™t merely a matter of talent, without achieving certain realms in power, the professional mastery couldn€™t progress, regardless of natural aptitude.
And even then, some mages who reached higher realms in their magical path found their professional skills lagging behind, as inspiration was often the key to advancement.
This is why top tier professionals were so rare and valuable, as training them required not only immense resources but also exceptional talent, and this is why the academy leaders fiercely competed to recruit even a single professional mage of such caliber from the War God Mage Academy€™s Dean.
To them, the War God Mage Academy had struck a goldmine, and their envy burned stronger than ever.
But the moment Alec summoned over ten talismans radiating the aura of a Peak Tier 6 artifact, they felt a chill run down their spines, the overwhelming display of wealth left them stunned and speechless.
Slowly, a few among them began to think outside the box.
€˜What if these resources didn€™t actually come from the War God Mage Academy?
What if they originated from a specific clan, like the Gordons?
After all, Alec seemed to be the only one consistently using such high-level artifacts and resources.€™
Each observer knew it was nearly impossible for the academy, whether under the command of the new or old dean, to provide a student with ten such talismans.
Even ancient clans, notorious for lavishing their heirs with treasures, rarely granted them a collection of self-protecting resources of this caliber.
From the VIP section, the Dean of the War God Mage Academy noticed the shifting gazes, as the attention of the other deans and influential figures was slowly drifting from him and settling squarely on Alec, who is standing in the middle of the stage.
Letting out a heavy sigh, the dean€™s thoughts reflected his growing concerns.
€˜In the end, you€™ve drawn far too much attention to yourself, even if they don€™t know who produces these talismans, they€™ll inevitably connect everything to you, as you€™re the only link they have, Now more than ever, I€™ll have to fight to keep you safe from the greedy hands of poachers€™.
