Chapter 751: Training, Preparations and Plans 3.
Ten Earth Spears erupted from the ground, levitating menacingly above Alec€™s outstretched hand, which remained raised high in the air.
Each spear radiated a dangerous energy, their sharp edges vibrating with raw power as they hovered ominously.
“I hope you€™re all ready,” Alec declared, his piercing gaze locking onto the Tier 5 Mages.
” because I don€™t see any of you casting your Stone Skin spell to defend against this, because I€™m not aiming these spears somewhere else, I€™m testing them on you, that way, you€™ll truly understand how much stronger they are.”
A moment of silence hung in the air before realization struck.
“Oh, shit!
Cast the Stone Skin spell immediately!” Brandon was the first to react, immediately placing both hands in front of him as layers of stone began forming over his chest, gradually extending toward his elbows.
However, despite his superior mastery, having reached Level 5 of the low Tier Spell, it was still a slow process.
The others weren€™t as fortunate, many of them barely managed to form a thin layer of stone over their chests, as they had a lower comprehension.
“Release!” Alec commanded, his hand dropping in a swift motion.
Like lock-on missiles, the ten Earth Spears launched forward, each zeroing in on its target.
“Arrghhh!”
Brandon, as the leader of the Tier 5 group, instinctively surged forward, he knew this wasn€™t just a show of power from Alec, this was another test, one designed to push them past their limits.
By the time he stepped up, his entire body had transformed, his skin now a hardened rock-like texture, making him resemble a miniature stone golem, akin to The Thing from the Fantastic Four but with a more refined, human-like form.
With a deep breath, Brandon raised his hand, and the earth beneath him dissolved into sand, rapidly swirling upward and ensnaring three of the incoming spears.
At the same time, one Earth Spear was already locked onto him; now, with three more redirected his way, he found himself facing four of Alec€™s deadly attacks alone.
“Survive!” Brandon roared as he clenched his fists, his control over the sand hardening around the three spears before dragging them toward himself.
“Ohhh, that’s a very bad mistake,” Alec muttered, realizing what Brandon was trying to do.
Brandon had attempted to shield 40% of the attack with his own body, confident that his team could handle the remaining six Earth Spears.
It was a bold move, but a grave miscalculation.
The moment the first spear reached him, reality struck hard.
The spear, spinning at an incredible speed, pierced through his lower abdomen with ease.
It was almost as if his Stone Skin defense was meaningless against the attack, and in truth, it was.
Alec had imbued each of the Earth Spears he sent out with one of his two variant abilities, and the one that struck Brandon carried his Sand Control ability.
As the Mid Tier earth spear spell neared Brandon€™s Stone Skin defense, which was a rank lower, it didn€™t even need to struggle for supremacy.
Instead, it eroded the stone-like defense, breaking it apart effortlessly before impaling him straight through the gut.
Brandon€™s face contorted in pain, causing his focus to shatter, and he lost control over the other three spears, and they broke free from his restraint, flying towards their original targets.
Desperate, he reached out to grab the spear piercing him, but the moment his hand made contact, its Sand Control ability flared.
The spear dissolved into fine grains, wrapping around his body and forming a dense sand cocoon, imprisoning him with only his head and hands left exposed.
The other mages fared no better, those struck by spears imbued with Gravity Control were forcibly pressed into the ground, unable to rise no matter how hard they struggled..

One unfortunate mage made the mistake of touching the spear impaling him and his hand was immediately flattened under an immense gravitational force.
Seeing things getting out of hand, Alec swiped his hand, retracting the spell before anyone suffered permanent damage.
After all, he still needed them alive and ready for the Blood Moon War.
“I hope you all understand now what an evolved spell can do,” Alec said, his voice firm.
€œIts power is already approaching the peak of Mid-Tier spells, and the best part?
The mana consumption is only slightly higher than a basic spell, nowhere near the drain of a true Mid-Tier spell.”
“See how overpowered it is?
I could have sent twenty Earth Spears like that and wiped out your entire team.
And just so you all know, I was holding back, I didn€™t even fully activate their abilities.€
€œ You only triggered 50% of their power by touching them.
Now imagine if you all could unleash a spell with that kind of strength,” Alec said, planting a very ambitious image in the minds of the mages.
What he didn€™t mention, however, was that without a variant ability, the spell€™s power would be significantly reduced to just slightly stronger than a Mid Tier Spell.
The spears might still have enhanced piercing, increased range, or boosted damage, but they wouldn€™t be nearly as devastating as his own.
The five Tier 6 mages watching from a distance were stunned by the sheer power behind those spears.
“I feel like if he were to use the full potential of that spell, its power might approach High Rank spells, Twenty of those could kill a peak Tier 6 mage and even threaten the life of a low Tier 7 mage,” Gabriel speculated after much deliberation, making the others shudder.
“Just a word of advice, none of you should ever think of annoying the young master.
He€™s terrifyingly strong for his age.
Imagine what he€™ll be capable of in the future,” another Tier 6 mage added with a mix of fear and reverence.
“Yeah, that€™s true, once we finish watching this, we should get back to training.
We can€™t let him catch us slacking off,” Gabriel replied.
As they all nodded in agreement, but still yet none of them actually moved, their eyes remained glued to the scene before them, eager to see what Alec would do next.
“Erm… sorry to interrupt, boss, but seriously, what are we going to do about them?” Arthur asked, pointing at the ten mages who were injured, some severely and unable to move.
Arthur had wisely positioned himself behind the other mages, knowing that going against Alec was never a good idea and that is how he had been one of the survivors.
“Ohhh shit, that€™s why I left ten of you untouched, spread out and give them the pills,” Alec ordered, swiping his hand.
The mages saw something flying toward them and instinctively caught it.
But when they opened their palms and realized what they were holding, their bodies trembled.
It wasn€™t until they saw Arthur moving to feed a pill to Brandon that they snapped out of their stupor.
Quickly, they each picked an injured teammate and began administering the pills in their hands.
