Chapter 762: Don’t Want No Trouble But Ain’t Scared Of One.
As soon as the city gates shut behind them, the Third and Fourth Elders felt their role had been fulfilled, and they wasted no time lingering beside Alec anymore, swiftly flying up to join the rest of the Tier 7 Mages in the air.
However, they kept their distance from the other mages, choosing to stand side by side and only offering brief nods in response to greetings directed towards them.
While the Tier 7 Mages of the Gordons Clan seem as if they were already drawing attention to themselves, seemingly on the verge of being bombarded with questions due to their clan€™s grand display.
Alec on the other hand Ignored the growing curiosity of those stationed in front of him, and finally took action, leading the Gordon Mages forward, instead of stopping at the assigned post designated by City Hall for each realm, they moved past it entirely.
Alec didn€™t want them near the other force, he had the mage army under him march a full 150 meters away from the battlefield€™s standard formation post.
But that wasn€™t all, rather than facing the Space Gate location which was no longer in their way, Alec had his mages turn horizontally, positioning themselves to face the front of the City Hall warriors and the other clans instead.
This unusual formation and move made it look as if Alec€™s army had come to observe the battle rather than participate in it.
As if that was not enough.
As soon as they settled, the Tier 5 Mages sprang into action under Brandon€™s command, moving in perfect sync, despite standing at different edges of the entire Gordons Mage army, they began manipulating the earth, raising the ground beneath them to form a small mountain with a sloping descent.
Then came Kelvin€™s turn, under his instructions, the Tier 4 Mages glided down the newly formed terrain, placing their hands on the ground for a few seconds before shifting to other positions.
Their movements were so precise it seemed as if they already knew the layout of this particular place of the battlefield, despite this being the first time the Gordons Clan had ever stationed themselves outside City Hall€™s designated positions.
€œWhat the hell are the mages from your clan doing?
They look more like spectators than warriors!
Just look at that, a high mountain giving them the perfect vantage point, what is this supposed to mean?€ one of the Tier 7 Mages from a new clan demanded, his frustration evident.
His gaze landed on the Third Elder, who was lazily drinking from his gourd, and the Fourth Elder, who was simply minding his own business.
However, the Third Elder acted as if he hadn€™t heard a thing, completely ignoring the outburst, the Fourth Elder, on the other hand, glanced to the side and caught sight of Alec€™s first strategic move.
Even he had to admit, it surprised him, while the Gordons Clan had entrusted Alec with full command over their mage army, they hadn€™t been fully briefed on how he intended to execute his battle plans.
Seeing it unfold in real time was a shock, but he swiftly adjusted his expression to hide any reaction.
Despite the confusion and rising tension, both elders remained silent, their indifference only served to agitate the Tier 7 Mage even further, pushing him into another outburst.
€œThat€™s it?
You have nothing to say?
Do you think you€™re better than all of us here?€ the mage snapped, his aura flaring as he attempted to close the distance between himself and the Gordons mages, this was just another Mage who had heard of the Gordons clan and felt they were no big deal and decided to show off to establish himself, after all they were the new mages around in the Estonia city and they needed face, and the Gordons Tier 7 mages where acting like easy push offs.
But before he could make a move, a figure suddenly appeared before him, Sir Marcus, the newly promoted City Commander.
With a simple shake of his head, Marcus wordlessly disapproved of any reckless action.
Attacking allies just minutes before a crucial battle was unacceptable.
Turning toward the Gordons Elders, Marcus finally spoke.
€œWhy have your clan€™s juniors acted in such a manner at the final moments before battle?€ His tone was firm, dictating he needed an answer as an official of the city hall .
The Third Elder, as expected, continued his act of blissful ignorance, as if he weren€™t involved at all.

The Fourth Elder, however, let out a sigh, realizing that silence was no longer an option, though he found the situation annoying, he decided to respond, if only to ease the rising tension.
€œWell, Sir Marcus, I don€™t know what goes on inside the young master€™s head, and frankly, I have no control over what he does down there, he commands the mage army, not me,€ the Fourth Elder said casually.
Though his explanation was simple, but the others didn€™t fully grasp the depth of his words.
They assumed he meant that Alec had merely chosen that position for the Gordons Clan to position, and they had accepted it simply because he was the young master.
However, the Fourth Elder was certain that once the battle began, they would understand, he was just too lazy to explain it to them beforehand, his son, Brandon, probably inherited that attitude from him.
€œWell, as long as they have no intention of fleeing the battlefield, I won€™t have any reason to charge them under the deserter law,€ Sir Marcus stated.
At those words, the Third Elder finally lost his patience.
His beard shook as he threw his gourd back onto his waist.
€œWatch your mouth!
The Gordons Clan may be many things, but deserters?
Never.
We have bled and defended this city for as long as we have lived in it.
So don€™t go throwing accusations at our younger ranks just because you fail to comprehend the profundity of their tactics!€
His voice carried such weight that even Sir Marcus was forced into silence, though even the Third elder didn€™t understand Alec€™s tactics but he knew Alec was no such person.
Though both were Tier 7 Mages, but Marcus knew better than to challenge the Gordons Clan.
Unlike most of these new clans who were delusional, the City Hall understood the true strength of the Gordons€™ High-Ranking Mages.
He, along with Alistair, had been personally warned by the City Lord-
€œNever offend the Gordons Clan€™s High-Rank Mages, no matter what.€
The City Lord had even given them his own evaluation of these mages:
€œEach of them is a madman who only pretends to be normal.€
And if there was anyone who embodied that reputation, it was the Third Elder of the Gordons clan, who didn€™t even shy away from going berserk any time he liked, his name and title carried tremendous weight in the city.
A mage who had survived attacks from a Tier 8 Mages while still at the Peak Mid Ranks(Tier 6 ) a feat that should have been impossible.
And if that weren€™t miraculous enough, when he finally broke into the High Ranks, the entire city witnessed the phenomenon that came with his ascension.
There was no doubt in their minds that he was a dangerous man to face, it was clear that his power had only grown since the last time he was in the Mid Ranks, and that was the main reason why Marcus wasn€™t pushing his authority any further.
