Chapter 766: Hidden Piece.
Chapter 766: Hidden Piece.
This was the first time Alec had summoned Legion since his evolution into a Quasi-Lord Golem.
Not only had his cyborg-like form become more refined, with his human features appearing more distinct, but his strength had also surpassed expectations.
And with his sensory abilities which has improved significantly, it allowed him to detect and isolate the various frequencies emitted by the mental-type zombies with precision.

As Alec glanced at Legion€™s new stats, a satisfied smile formed on his face, while Legion€™s raw strength was still lower than Titan€™s in the stats, it didn€™t mean he would lose in a fight, his arsenal of high-damage weapons, combined with his exceptional agility, made him more than capable of outmaneuvering and overpowering most Tier 6 mages.
Additionally, Legion€™s weapon mastery had expanded, thanks to the acquisition of his Mech-form ability during the evolution, further enhancing his combat prowess.
Alec had even purchased specialized weapon blueprints from the system store, allowing Legion and his summons to integrate them into their Nano-tech golem bodies, enabling them to construct and wield their specialized weapons seamlessly.
Despite Legion€™s impressive evolution, Alec had witnessed Titan and his squad in action after his recovery, and there was no denying that Titan still remained his most formidable €œmeat grinder€ on the battlefield.
€œBlow the horn,€ Alec commanded, immediately, the mage leading the Tier 1 mages of the Gordons Clan raised a war horn and let out a deep, resonant blast.
This was another strategic element Alec had prepared for the battle, as soon as the horn sounded, the Gordons mages moved with precision, with the Tier 1 mages taking the front, followed by Tier 2, then Tier 3, and so on.
Alec positioned himself at the center of the formation, standing alongside his sub Tier leaders and the Tier 6 mages, all of whom stood respectfully near his mount, awaiting his next order.
But the horn€™s purpose wasn€™t just to arrange their formation, it was also a calculated move to draw the zombies€™ attention toward them.
And it worked.
Some Zombies began shifting their focus from the Low Tier human mages they were chasing, as heads snapping toward the Gordons.
With Alec, fully aware of the presence of low-rank mental-type zombies among them, he had already formed a theory.
That while a Type 3 mental zombie could effortlessly gather and command a horde of up to a million zombies, maintaining control over such a massive force was a different challenge altogether.
The Type 3 mental zombie had devised an efficient command structure by embedding lower-rank mental zombies throughout the horde, these lesser mental types acted as intermediaries, receiving orders from their superior who is the Type 3 mental zombie and relaying them to the zombies further away from the true leader.
In essence, the lower-rank mental zombies served as the eyes, hands, legs, and ears of the Type 3 mental zombie, which remained hidden at the rear, far from the frontlines.
It couldn€™t effectively control zombies that were too distant, nor could it risk coming closer and exposing itself to danger from the High rank mages that would try everything in their power to assassinate it.
Instead, it had delegated authority to these lesser commanders of it, as they functioned as captains, while he waited at the back acting as a general
The level of intelligence this demonstrated was staggering, and Alec immediately understood why the human mages had struggled in the previous battle, they had focused solely on thinning the zombie numbers, a strategy that ultimately failed as the zombies outnumbered them overwhelmingly, and each fallen human mage only worsened their predicament, further bolstering the enemy forces.
The entire operation was orchestrated seamlessly by the Type 1 and Type 2 mental zombies which the human mages were still unaware of, all of whom were receiving direct instructions from their Tier 3 superior.
Communication between mental-type zombies was as swift and efficient as a 5g Internet voice /video call, The Type 3 mental zombie can likely maintain a telepathic link with its subordinates over a range of at least five hundred meters.
Though it relied on them to execute orders, but it still remained the true mastermind behind the horde, the one Alec had set his sights on eliminating.
If anyone else heard Alec€™s plan, they would have laughed it off as pure madness, after all, he was plotting to assassinate the most crucial figure in the zombie army, a being guarded by three peak Tier 7 zombies.
€œAlec, I won€™t lie-this plan of yours sounds suicidal,€ Arthur said, watching as nearly a thousand low-rank zombies (ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 3) began charging toward them.

€œAnd if I remember correctly, we always avoid suicidal plans according to you.
So what€™s changed?€
€œDo you trust me, brother?€ Alec asked, his gaze shifting to each sub-Tier leader under his command.
€œWith my life,€ Arthur replied instantly, while the others nodded in agreement.
€œThen understand this, until that bastard is eliminated, every future war will be worse than the last.
Its evolving route is only moving towards one path: to assimilate battle strategies, if it survives and returns, it will be even more competent than it is today,€ Alec explained, his tone firm.
€œThis type of zombie grows stronger with each war it leads, improving its control over the horde to maximize destruction.
That€™s why I€™ve placed it at the top of my kill list, but don€™t worry, I€™m not suicidal,€ Alec reassured them after he detailed everything he had learned about the mental-type zombies after using his inspect skill on it, making sure they fully understood that eliminating the true commander was their ultimate goal, just not yet.
€œBut I do have an easier way to weaken its influence, by taking out the mental-type zombies hidden within this low Tier horde, once they€™re gone, the Type 3 mental zombie won€™t be able to control this set of zombies effectively.€
€œAnd without a proper leader, the horde will revert to relying on pure instinct, reducing their formation combat efficiency by at least 30%.
That€™s when we€™ll truly take control of this battlefield,€ Alec said, his eyes glinting with determination.
€œLegion, Endrick, I€™m leaving the sniping of those big-headed freaks to you.€
As he finished speaking, the first wave of zombies finally closed in within a hundred meters of the hilltop.
€œNow, let€™s cause enough chaos to flush out the real threats for our hunters.€ Alec murmured with a smirk
