The Golem Mage - Chapter 770
Chapter 770: Moving Forward 1.
Chapter 770: Moving Forward 1.
The second salvo of Earth Bullets rained down on the Speed type zombies, drilling through their bodies and killing them in droves, however, this time, the casualty count was lower than the first round of barrage.
This was because many of the Speed-type zombies at the back had used the corpses of their fallen comrades as shields to advance forward under the heavy fire .
Even with this desperate tactic, some of them were still unlucky enough to get caught in the storm of two thousand bullets, another four hundred speed type zombies fell in this round of firing, while others sustained gruesome injuries, with their bodies riddled with holes from the high-penetration earth bullet shots.
Yet, true to their undead nature, they showed no signs of pain or hesitation.
As the second salvo ended, some of the Speed type zombies swiftly discarded the corpses they had been using, realizing they were too damaged to serve as shields any longer.
Others grabbed fresh bodies from those who had just died, determined to push forward still protected.
€œThis is exactly why we need to eliminate the Mental-type zombies at all costs.€ Alec sighed, watching the zombies trying to adapt to his tactics, and he knew these instructions the speed types where exhibiting would have come from the mental type zombie as only them were this ruthless.
€œIt€™s already trying to counter my strategy.
What a drag.€
€œYou could just send us in, this group of zombies is nothing special.
My squad can handle them easily.€ Brandon suggested, crossing his arms.
€œHell no!, that would be overkill.
Young Master, why not send me and my squad instead?
I promise we won€™t let you down.€ Kelvin interjected.
It was clear that both Brandon€™s Tier 5 mages squad and Kelvin€™s Tier 4 Mage squad were itching for a fight.
After two weeks of gruelling training and brand-new spirit equipment sets, they knew they had gotten stronger, yet they hadn€™t had a chance to truly test themselves.
Their pent-up energy was boiling over just watching the low ranks get some action.
But Alec wasn€™t ready to deploy them just yet.
€œDon€™t worry, you€™ll all get the chance to fight until you€™re exhausted, you should trust me by now.€ Alec said with a slight sneer.
Beside him, Legion casually tossed ten metallic, Rubik€™s cube-like objects onto the ground.
Within seconds, the cubes began to shift and expand, growing in size as though they were draining Legion€™s energy to take form.
Clank!
The cubes locked into place, unfolding and merging as ten massive cybernetic golems materialized beside Legion, this was the first time Legion had summoned his minions in battle.
In fact, even Alec€™s inner circle had no idea that Legion had reached the Tier 6 Golem realm, let alone that he had gained the ability to summon an army of his own.
So, none of them were prepared for this spectacle.
Alec took a moment to analyze Legion€™s summons carefully.
Each had the same humanoid frame as Legion, but their bodies were distinct in colour, and a number was printed onto their chests for identification.
€œWe fly.€ Legion said flatly.
And without hesitation, the boosters under his feet ignited, launching him into the air, as he soared forward, the metallic components on his back shifted, transforming into a jet propulsion system that accelerated him toward the main horde of Low-rank zombies surrounding the last remaining Mental-type 1 zombie.

Not far behind him, ten glowing lights followed, his minions assembling their weapons mid-air as they moved in formation behind him.
–
With Legion now focused on his own mission, Alec turned his attention back to the incoming battle in front of him.
It wasn€™t that he was being careless, he was just that confident, the Mental-type 1 zombie was already as good as dead.
If the Type 3 Mental zombie thought Alec was going to play fair, just because he had matched each wave of undead with opponents of the same tier so far, then it was about to receive a rude awakening.
Because in the Low-Tier battlefield, no one was even capable of scratching Legion, let alone stopping him and his squad.
Meanwhile, Alec had stopped issuing further attacks after that second earth bullet salvo, allowing the Speed-type zombies to close the distance.
He didn€™t want his mages to be caught mid-cast while preparing the third spell, which was why he had them hold their position instead.
In less than two minutes, since the zombies had turned their attention toward them, Alec€™s forces had annihilated over two thousand zombies, more than all the other Low-rank human forces combined.
€œShields up!
Spears ready!
Deploy your golems into position!
Tier 3 Mages, engage in close combat using the Puppet Wall strategy!€ Alec commanded.
Immediately, the Tier 3 Mages raised their shields to their chests, positioning their spears at the sides, crouching slightly into a stance reminiscent of the Spartan phalanx formation.
But in front of these two hundred Tier 3 Mages stood their golems.
Just five seconds later, the first wave of Speed-type zombies lunged high, their razor-sharp claws swiping past the golems, aiming directly for the mages behind them, since the golems lacked life signs, the zombies ignored them completely, focusing solely on the humans.
But just as their bluish, mutated claws neared their targets, they were met with a rude awakening, the Tier 3 Earth Golems reacted instantly, gripping the outstretched claws of the zombies and slamming them into the ground with sheer brute force.
Their raw strength overpowered the undead effortlessly.
And before the first batch of fallen zombies could even react, the mages wasted no time, as their spears shot forward, piercing directly into the zombies€™ skulls, ending them in a swift and calculated motion.
Despite being mutated zombies with enhanced durability, they had no chance against the Tier 3 Mages.
These mages had acquired basic spearmanship mastery and they also wielded Tier 3 weapons specifically attuned to them.
And the result of such equipment and skills?
Is that the brown-glowing spears met zero resistance as they effortlessly punctured through the zombies€™ skulls, killing them instantly.
It was almost too easy for the Gordons mages who were seeking a challenge.
But Alec had only used that first wave as a test, to gauge the reaction speed and combat efficiency of his mages.
Now that he had confirmed their readiness, he smirked before giving his next command, one that would bring smiles to every single Low-tier Mage under his command.
