Chapter 772: Cybernetic Golem Squad 1.
€œTell me you€™re seeing what I€™m seeing!€ the Third Elder exclaimed, his eyes locked onto the Tier 6 golem below.
€œHmmm… I see it too, that kid Alec has grown far more powerful than we expected, based on our intelligence from the Inter-Academy Competition we watched, only his Ice Golem had reached Tier 6 at the time.€ The Fourth Elder responded, his tone laced with intrigue.
€œBut somehow, in just this short period of time from then, he€™s added another Tier 6 golem to his collection, all while still being a High Tier 5 Mage.
In fact, calling him a Tier 5 Mage at this point feels inaccurate when you consider his actual battle prowess.€
€œBack then, weren€™t there only two people who managed to push their golems to Tier 6 while still being at Tier 5?€ The Third Elder furrowed his brows as he asked.
€œYes-Garrick and George, old Fifth€™s talent only truly blossomed when he reached Tier 6, but even then, both the Patriarch and Garrick had only achieved this because the entire clan supported them, providing all the necessary resources.€ The Fourth Elder nodded.
€œBut Alec?, he managed all of this completely on his own, without any support from the clan.
In fact, a lot of what that kid does defies our understanding.€ The Fourth Elder replied, shaking his head in disbelief.
€œThe more he shines, the more I feel tempted to replace George with him, I€™d much rather have a giver as Patriarch than a stingy old man with a dual personality.€ The Third Elder admitted.
€œWhat we should be more concerned about is whether Alec could finally help the Grand Elder evolve his golem to High Rank, while most of us all made progress in pushing our golems further to the high rank, Garrick has never been able to push his to the next level, and he is stubborn in creating another golem with an assured evolution route€ The Fourth Elder sighed.
€œAnd from what I€™ve heard, Alec has always been a genius when it comes to golem cultivation, he even trained under Old Fifth to study beast golems, and when he returned back from the academy, he took over the Gordons€™ Mage army under his wing, convincing nearly everyone to create a golem and guiding them in their evolution.
Doesn€™t that tell you just how valuable his talent truly is?
If he can help the older generation the same way he did with the lower ranks…€
€œThen the clan€™s power would grow even stronger than it already has,€ the Fourth Elder concluded, his gaze still fixed on the Type 3 Zombies, while he and the Third Elder continued to enjoy the view of the Low-Rank Battlefield.
At this moment, nearly all the High-Rank human mages had stopped watching the Mid-Rank Battlefield entirely, as the situation there was looking grim, it was only a matter of time before they collapsed.
Though some of the High-Ranks wanted to intervene, but they knew it wasn€™t ideal.
Unlike the previous invasion, where the zombies sent 25 High-Ranks, this time, they had brought 30 this time, even if they subtracted the four Peak Tier 7 zombies, (the Type 3 Mental Zombie which is being protected by the Type 3 Strength Type, the Type 3 Speed Type, and the Type 3 Hunter Type)-there were still 26 High-Rank zombies left, facing only 15 Tier 7 mages on the human side.
Despite the City Lord€™s efforts to gather more High-Ranks, only 15 had shown up, among them, two were from City Hall, two from the Gordons Clan, and one each from the Lanzt and Darkbliss Clans.
This meant the remaining nine came from lesser-experienced clans, either new clans that migrated to the city or old clans that hadn€™t participated in a Blood Moon War in a long time.
These clans lacked the combat experience of the Gordons or the Darkbliss Patriarch, who fought regularly.
So facing the times two number of zombie High-Ranks would be incredibly difficult for them, which is why the high rank forces were stalling for time, even if it meant sacrificing some Mid-Ranks in the process.
They lacked the courage to initiate the High-Rank battle, instead, they hesitated, prioritizing self-preservation over engagement.
They would only feel secure if they fought at the last possible moment, using all their strength to defend, making it harder for them to be killed easily as long as they put everything into holding the line.
But now, however, their attention had been completely drawn toward the Low-Rank battlefield, all because of the Type 3 Mental Zombie.
Above the chaotic battlefield, they were shocked by what they saw, something they had never expected, something that should never have taken place in the first place.
A Tier 6 battle was unfolding above the low rank battlefield right before their eyes, and the Gordons Clan, whom they had constantly criticized, were single-handedly taking on the zombies, while the other forces€™ Low-Rank mages stood motionless, stunned by the display.
The sheer dominance of the Gordons€™ forces left many High rank mages feeling embarrassed, especially those with ties to the Low rank mages below.
Marcus, unable to hold back his frustration, shouted at the City Guards, admonishing them for just standing still instead of taking advantage of the Gordons€™ tactics to eliminate zombies from their own standing position.
It was an ironic sight, the very people he had once accused of potential desertion were now the ones holding the front lines against overwhelming numbers, while his own juniors did nothing.
Among all of this, another realization dawned on the other clans€™ High-Rank mages watching, Alec Gordons, the heir of the Gordons Clan, wasn€™t just a skilled fighter, as the rumours had suggested.

He was leading an entire mage army but for the moment only the low rank had been utilised, and from what they had saw so far he was clearly leading with the aura of a seasoned general, all while commanding a Tier 6 golem with ease.
The sheer display of talent and leadership made those who knew of his past blood moon achievements uneasy.
His advancement speed was too fast, and they felt it was only a matter of time before he was fighting alongside them on the same High rank battlefield.
If that happened, it would only mean one thing, the Gordons Clan was rising more in power, and at least 80% of them didn€™t want that to happen.

BANG!!!
Legion didn€™t hesitate at all as he emptied his entire six-magazine bullet clip into the frozen Tier 6 zombies, the loud explosions of his close-quarter weapon ringing out like mini-detonations across the battlefield.
With the gun€™s wide hit-cone ability, each shot covered a broad area, allowing Legion to hit multiple targets at once, even while aiming in two different directions with his dual weapons.
By the time his barrage ended, the paralyzed Tier 6 zombies had already been obliterated, their heads blasted apart, and large chunks of their bodies missing from the sheer force of the Fragment Gun€™s firepower.
This wasn€™t just an execution, it was a showcase of the weapon€™s devastating strength.
