The Golem Mage - Chapter 775
Chapter 775: Low Rank Wipe Out.
The zombie’s eyes widened in shock as it clutched desperately at the spear despite its hand burning, as it was trying to halt the spear’s advance, but Number 5 only tightened his grip, bringing his second hand to reinforce his hold.
With a grunt of exertion, he shoved forward with all his strength, as the spearhead tore through flesh and bone and squealed until it burst out from the top of the Tier 6 zombie’s skull.
“Two more to go,” Legion muttered, shifting his gaze to the last Strength-type zombie, only to find it already slain by a battered but standing Number 4.
With the cool down on his Wide Shield over, Number 4 had reactivated his ability, burst out from the ground and engaged the sluggish zombie that was still struggling under the lingering effects of the stasis in a close combat.
His laser sword made quick work of the fight, and it wasn’t long before he beheaded the final Strength-type Tier 6 zombie, leaving its lifeless body to collapse onto the battlefield.
At that moment, the Type 2 Hunter zombie, which had arrived with the Strength types, suddenly sprinted away, as if it had just received a direct order from the Type 3 Mental zombie, but Legion had no intention of letting a Tier 6 Zombie escape so easily.
The Cryo Launcher was powerful, but against a fast-moving target at long range, it wasn’t as effective.
So he turned his gaze to Numbers 7 and 8, the only two golems in his unit that had sniper specialisation mastery.
The moment they felt their lord’s gaze, they understood the unspoken command and didn’t hesitate to act on it.
Number 8 swiftly constructed its sniper weapon in under two seconds, while Number 7 moved into position for support.

Number 7 raised his right hand guard, firing off a Hunter Mark towards the escaping Hunter-type zombie, the moment it hit, a red skull-shaped icon appeared above the zombie’s head, and a brief stasis effect took hold, freezing it in mid-air just long enough for Number 8 to line up the shot.
Ping!
A green laser beam pierced through the sky, marking precisely where Number 8 had aimed, then, as soon as the Hunter zombie began to regain its movement, the real shot was fired.
In an instant, the laser bullet struck home, a perfect bullseye.
The zombie’s skull erupted, its brain matter splattering through the air before its lifeless corpse plummeted toward the ground.
Number 8 had constructed an EM Rifle Sniper, a weapon with a small chance to deal double damage, combined with the Hunter Mark curse ability, which increased incoming damage by 150%, these effects stacked together, turning the Hunter-type zombie, a creature with a tough exoskeleton, into nothing more than an easy target.
–
With the Hunter-type zombie eliminated, Legion immediately ordered the execution of the Type 1 Mental zombie, without hesitation, Number 1 raised his plasma gun and fired a single, precise shot, blasting its head apart in an instant.
With the last Type 1 Mental zombie gone, the Type 3 Mental zombie lost all real-time reconnaissance over the low-rank battlefield.
Even though it tried to salvage the situation by personally issuing retreat orders, it was too late.
The moment the final Type 1 Mental zombie fell, Alec no longer held back.
Without hesitation, he gave the order for all his low-rank mages to go all out, as it was finally time to unleash hell.
With the zombies now disorganized and struggling to follow the distant commands of the Type 3 Mental zombie, the battlefield shifted.
The Gordon mages and their golems transformed into a relentless force, tearing through the confused zombie ranks with precise coordination.
If a Tier 1 Gordon Mage found himself facing a Tier 2 zombie or a powerful mutated zombie he couldn’t handle alone, another Tier 1 Mage or his golem would immediately step in to assist, allowing them to overpower the threat together.
This tactic was something Alec had drilled into them, no mage fought alone against a stronger enemy in his ranks, and with their golems reinforcing their ranks, the zombie forces crumbled even faster.
Because unlike humans, the golems were immune to the zombie virus, they had no blood to infect, created entirely through magic, they were the perfect counter to the low-rank zombies, who relied on numbers and there T-virus spread when their physical strength alone wasn’t enough to win the fight.
The Gordon Mid-Rank Mages standing beside Alec watched in silence, the High-Rank Human Mages in the sky watched.
Even the Type 3 Zombies on the other side of the battlefield had their eyes locked on the scene.

None of them could fully comprehend what had just happened.
The low-rank zombie horde had been completely wiped out, though the other city’s low-rank forces had played a role, but those in the skies knew exactly who had truly turned the tide of battle, the Gordon Mages.
The zombies leaders had once believed that their overwhelming numbers of their low rank horde would be enough to pierce through the city’s defences, but that plan had collapsed completely, all because one group of mages had stepped onto the battlefield.
–
“Is it finally our turn?” Brandon asked, cracking his knuckles as he looked toward the Mid-Rank battlefield, where the fight still raged on.
But here, it was clear as day—the humans were losing.
“Yeah, it’s your turn,” Alec confirmed.
“We’re about to turn this whole battlefield upside down, we need to put enough fear into those mutated zombies to force their leader to recall them.”
“Wait… we’re not going for all their heads?” Kelvin asked, visibly confused.
“As much as I’d love to wipe them all out, this is our first battle against a Mid-Rank zombie army of this size.” Alec said,
“They’re not weak, and we’re not fully prepared, our Tier 5 and 6 units still lack full-body armour.”
“That’s why we can’t go all-in just yet, and more importantly, we have to consider the zombie virus, as I’m not about to lose any of you to a stupid bite or scratch.” Alec’s gaze hardened as he looked over his team.
“Our mission is simple, instill as much fear as possible into this bunch of bastards, and always—I mean always—have each other’s backs.”
The team nodded in unison, they were finally ready after waiting for so long.
