The Golem Mage - Chapter 781
Chapter 781: First Lieutenant.
The Ice Domain had not only expanded but it had also begun severely impacting the zombies, their movement and attack speed were significantly reduced, making them easy prey for the golems, for the Tier 4 zombies , survival became nearly impossible, as they were rapidly frozen into solid ice sculptures while combating for long under the ice domain, their Tier 4 undead mana wasn’t enough to shield the cold aura from invading their bodies.
This was hardly surprising, considering the domain was powered by Ice Golems’ use of ice energy, with the weakest among them already at High Tier 5, against such overwhelming frost energy, Tier 4 zombies stood no chance.
Unfortunately for the zombies, deactivating or escaping the domain was looking impossible, as to deactivate would mean all eleven of them run out of mana at the same time or a stronger Fire based domain crashed and destroyed the ice domain.
The Ice Domain moved along with the golems, ensuring they remained in its chilling grasp, this synchronization explained why the golems maintained a steady marching pace, always moving in formation.
Even when one fell slightly behind to eliminate an enemy, at least five Ice Golems remained beside Titan at all times.
Even Tier 5 zombies also suffered from the domain’s debuff effects, as their attack speed and spellcasting power heavily diminished, due to them lacking an ice affinity, they couldn’t resist the domain’s effects, making them sluggish and vulnerable.
“I owe you three… and the shield getting tainted makes it four. I’ll settle my debt later,” the Ice Golem who had his ass saved remarked to the dual-shield wielder Golem as it finally caught up with the formation.
Now wielding two large ice clubs, as it resumed its brutal efficiency of slamming and knocking back zombies, crushing anything that dared to get too close.
For the more stubborn undead zombies, a simple kick was enough to send them flying backward, while an occasional Ice Explosion spell blasted their legs into frozen chunks, making it easier to slam the heads.
Within the Icy Domain, the Peak Tier 5 Ice Golems were as strong as Low Tier 6 lifeforms, as their powers were being amplified by the domain’s augmentation.
This was how Titan and his forces carved a path through the zombie horde, unstoppable, precise, and brutally efficient.
Each step left a trail of frozen corpses, there were no wasted movements, no hesitation, no emotion, as if massacring the undead was nothing more than routine work.
And then, they finally stopped after five minutes of carnage .
Before them, only a hundred zombies remained, out of a thousand-strong force, Titan and his Ice Golems had annihilated nine hundred, all without losing a member of their unit not to talk of suffering a single scratch.
The Ice Golems stood ready, eager to charge forward and end the battle, each of them had faced countless battles against Tier 6 demonic beasts in the beast forest, some of which even possessed Tier 7 battle prowess.
Through their numerous near-death encounters, they had developed flawless formations, syncing perfectly to adapt to stronger opponents, now as they stood before the strongest remnants of the thousand-zombie army, not a single one flinched or faltered.
The Ice Golem closest to Titan on his right absentmindedly spun its axe, rotating the ice handle in its grip, though its face remained expressionless, but the anticipation in its eyes was undeniable.
“And here I was wondering where you all had been hiding, turns out the main squad was holding back all along. If I had to guess… your Mental-Type commander is lurking somewhere in the middle right, isn’t it?” Titan remarked, his gaze sweeping over the gathered zombies.
“Don’t think that just because you wiped out a bunch of Tier 4s and a few low- and mid-rank Tier 5s, you and your summons are anything specia—”
The Peak Tier 5 zombie had barely finished its sentence when one of Titan’s lieutenants conjured an ice spear from the frost-charged air around them and launched it with devastating force, the spear pierced straight through the zombie’s skull, sending its body flying backward from the sheer impact.
The surrounding zombies instinctively moved aside as their comrade’s lifeless corpse crashed to the ground, skidding several meters before coming to a stop, this was an act from the lieutenant to stop the disrespect it felt Titan was allowing.
“Found you,” Titan muttered, eyes locking onto the Type 2 Mental Zombie in the midst of the zombies that had also shifted to avoid the attack.
From the beginning, his true target had always been the Mental-Type, the slaughter of the thousand-zombie horde? That was just a side job he took upon himself.
After witnessing this display of sheer power, the Tier 6 zombies within the horde finally realized, staying on the side-lines was no longer an option.
The gap between Titan’s golems and the zombies was vast, despite being in the same realm, Titan’s ice golems were a rare breed, all in the rare rank each capable of battling three opponents of the same tier at once with ease.
And now, being augmented by the Ice Domain, their power had risen even further, and they could exploit the domain surrounding them to create weapons at will, forge armour to reinforce their bodies when injured , and tap into the very frost-laden air for endless energy to help recover part of their mana reserve and also increase their mana recovery speed.
All of this combined made them far superior to the average Peak Tier 5 lifeform, and that wasn’t even considering their vast battle experience, they had faced stronger and more numerous opponents countless times before, and fear was a foreign concept to them who faced death every day.
“Hope you’re ready, ‘cause I’m coming for you,” Titan said, his gaze locked onto the Mental-Type Zombie, with a flick of his wrist, a barrage of razor-sharp ice shards shot forward, aiming straight for his target.
But before they could land, two Tier 6 zombies appeared in front of it, shielding against the attack by sending forth their own attack to cancel out Titan’s strike, at the same time, the rest of the zombie army surged forward.
“Hmph.”

For the first time since the battle began, Titan’s right hand moved, the one gripping the heavy ice chain.
Swing! Boom!
With a single, powerful swing, all hell broke loose.
Titan lunged forward, swinging his massive spiked mace into the charging horde, the front line, composed entirely of Tier 5 Strength-Type Zombies, was obliterated on impact, their bodies crushed into pulp as the massive weapon tore through them.
Even in all this chaos the Mental-Type Zombie had still attempted to lay a strategic formation, trying to make things difficult for the golems, but against overwhelming strength, such schemes were meaningless.
Titan yanked the mace back, steadying it mid-air with both hands before slamming it into the ground with devastating force.
CRACK!
The ice-covered earth shattered, as the spiked weapon embedding itself deep into the ground, the zombies that had survived the initial attack stared in horror, blood dripped from the spikes, pooling onto the frozen terrain.
For a brief moment, fear crept into their rotten mind, but the fury of the undead zombie for the living was relentless.
One command from the Mental-Type Zombie was all it took.
With a deafening roar, the horde charged again, more vicious than ever.
“Bulwark, this is a drag,” Titan muttered, shifting his gaze toward the ice golem wielding dual shields.
And it turns out this golem wasn’t just named Bulwark, it was also Titan’s first lieutenant, much like how Number 1 was to Legion.
“Don’t worry, leave the Tier 5 zombies to us,” Bulwark replied, his tone unwavering.
“You just focus on taking out the Tier 6 and that Mental-Type zombie.”
At that moment, his entire demeanour shifted.
The smaller shield disintegrated, reshaping into a basic spike mace in his right hand, while a T-shaped ice helmet materialized over his head.
If before he resembled an immovable mountain, now he gave off the aura of a rampaging bulldozer, no longer just a shield, but a force of destruction.
This was the power of Titan’s first summoned golem, Bulwark.
“Thanks,” Titan said simply, before detonating the ice beneath his feet.
The explosive force propelled him into the air, as his massive spiked mace trailing behind him, the heavy chain wrapped around his right arm pulling it along like a wrecking ball of pure devastation.
