The Golem Mage - Chapter 783
Chapter 783: Still Competitors 1.
With Bulwark and the rest of the Ice Lieutenants handling the remaining Tier 5 mutated zombies, Titan finally had the freedom he needed, the freedom to go after the Mental-type zombie without any distractions, even before landing, he noticed the thirty Tier 6 mutated zombies staring at him like he was some kind of fool.
Titan recognized that look all too well, but he was more than ready to wipe the smugness off their faces, turning his left hand, he tightened the ice chain wrapped around it while gripping the end chain of the massive mace with his right.
As he began spinning the weapon in the air, its size grew with each rotation, yet none of the Tier 6 zombies showed any signs of concern.
They were confident, after all, they were in the same realm as Titan, they felt like ‘why should they feel pressured by a mere golem?’
Two strength-type, Tier 6 zombies lunged forward the moment Titan began swinging his mace downward, while the rest focused on escorting the Mental-type zombie out of harm’s way.
It was obvious to Titan that, despite both zombies charging, only one was actually positioned to block his attack.
‘Let’s see how long you keep underestimating me.’ With that thought, Titan put all his strength into the downward swing.
By now, the mace had expanded to the size of a small mountain, a massive, spiked sphere that radiated destruction, yet the strength-type zombies remained unfazed.
One leaped into the air while the other spread its arms wide, muscles twitching as it grew slightly taller, as its eyes burned a dangerous shade of red, its stance making it clear, it planned to stop Titan’s mace with nothing but its bare hands.
As the moment of impact approached, time itself seemed to slow, as if the battlefield was holding its breath.
Bang!
The moment the mace struck down finally, an explosive shockwave erupted, sending icy fog swirling outward like a halo, with Titan and the strength-type zombie at its center, the zombie that had attempted to stop the attack was now on one knee, its face contorted in disbelief at the sheer force behind Titan’s strike.
It struggled to push itself back up, but its efforts were in vain, ice energy had already begun creeping into its body from the point of contact, while a few spikes poked into its body causing the effect of the frost to spread faster.
As frost spread rapidly, it engulf its hands that it was using to hold up the massive mace and crawling up to its elbows faster than it could comprehend.
As much as Titan would have enjoyed watching the zombie turn into an ice sculpture, he was on a time limit, and he had no interest in being held up by an enemy that was already as good as defeated.
Without hesitation, he sent a swift knee strike to the zombie’s only supporting leg.
The impact shattered its balance, sending it collapsing under the crushing weight of the ice mace. Titan then slapped his hand against the mace, and suddenly, a black spot appeared around it.
This unexpected development caught even Alec off guard as he observed from a distance.
That black ice energy, he was sure he had seen it before.
But Titan had no time to linger, confident the fallen zombie was doomed to a slow death, he swiftly stepped back just as the second strength-type zombie, the one that had leapt into the air, came crashing down.
Its hardened arms smashed into the ground, triggering another violent explosion.
The shockwave from the impact sent Titan skidding backward, but he handled it with practiced ease, using a precise footwork technique, he redirected portions of the shockwave into the ground with each step he took, turning the raw force into frost energy that spread across the battlefield, making the ice tremble and sending frigid waves rippling outward.
“My turn,” Titan said, finally redirecting all the strength-type zombie’s energy elsewhere.
He bent slightly, pushing both hands forward as a solid-looking shield materialized in front of him, the frost surrounding him was drawn in, condensing into the shield’s thick, icy structure.

Titan’s body turned into a streak of icy light as he dashed straight toward the Tier 6 zombies blocking his path.
“Come!” The zombie snarled, spreading its massive, mutated claws wide, as they shimmered with an eerie glow, brimming with power, it was clear this particular strength-type zombie had undergone a arm and body mutation, making its arms grotesquely large and unnaturally strong along with its body defence.
But Titan didn’t care, his focus was solely on the mental-type zombie, and his plan was nearly complete, what the other Tier 6 zombies failed to realize was that Titan had been deliberately stalling for time, and now, everything was in place.
Bang!
The zombie’s glowing claws, that was sharp enough to tear through flesh and bone with ease, collided with Titan’s shield.

The impact sent out a shockwave, but despite the force behind the attack, all it managed to do was leave a shallow dent in the thick ice.
Titan, Alec’s most trustworthy shield remained undeterred, still dashing forward with unstoppable momentum before finally slamming his shield into the strength-type zombie.
With a calculated bend of his knee, he used the force of the blow to launch the zombie into the air, but even as it ascended, Titan refused to let it escape, in one fluid motion, he shifted the shield to his back, where it clicked into place as if magnetized to the icy armour covering him.
At the same time, his right hand conjured a long ice chain, its tip fitted with a sharp kunai-like blade that clattered against the ground as he gripped it.
“A prey is meant to be fished,” Titan muttered, twisting the ice chain three times before hurling it skyward, the chain wrapped tightly around the Tier 6 zombie’s body, binding its arms as the kunai pierced deep into its flesh, ensuring it had nowhere to run.
With the chain secured, Titan twisted his right hand around the free length for a firmer grip and yanked down.
The moment the zombie was pulled toward him, it was over, as Titan’s ice claws, extending from his left-hand guard, punctured straight through its skull with a sickening crunch.
A collective gasp rippled through the low-rank mages of the Estonia City force, their duties had come to a temporary halt, as their opponents had all been wiped out, and the mid-rank zombies were still too strong for them to intervene.
Jumping into the fray now, where mid-rank human mages themselves were struggling, would be nothing short of suicide.
Instead, they fell back, mirroring the actions of the Gordon clan’s low-rank mages, and watching the battle unfold.
But witnessing Titan execute a Tier 6 zombie like it was nothing was something they would never forget, the image of him slowly unsheathing his ice claws from the zombie’s shattered skull burned into their minds, especially as the once-terrifying creature that would have been responsible for the lost of many other human mages life slumped lifelessly to the ground with a heavy thud.
Causing the remaining 28 Tier 6 zombies stiffened at the sight, their stance shifting, in that moment, it became clear, they were re-evaluating the enemy before them.
