The Golem Mage - Chapter 784
Chapter 784: Still Competitors 2.
Now, as Titan stared at his mace, a wild smile spread across his face, as he knew they wouldn’t be able to stop him anymore.
If the zombies had attacked him together, they might have forced him onto the defensive until his lieutenants were free to assist.
But their overconfidence had been their downfall, they had underestimated him, believing only two of them were enough to handle him, instead, those two had only served to empower him, and now, as he glanced downward, he could feel the Domain’s power creeping closer, his lieutenants were approaching pushing heir battle forward, which meant his strength was about to be augmented once again.
“Final round,” Titan muttered, moving his hand to grip his mace once more, he twisted his right hand around the free space on the ice chain before wrapping his fingers tightly around the handle.
By now, the entire ice mace had turned pitch black, and the corpse of the strength-type zombie on the ground was completely drained, looking as if its very life force had been sucked out.
“Yes… I finally remember where I’ve seen that black ice before,” Alec murmured to himself, stroking his chin in deep thought.
“That’s the same variant ice ability Pale Zero awakened, it absorbs an opponent’s mana to create ice that becomes unbearably heavy for them, but not for the wielder. But who would’ve thought Titan would awaken it too? Though… it seems there are some differences in how they use it.”
Back to Titan, he finally had his weapon in hand, and now the ice domain had fully caught up to him, amplifying his power to its peak.
“Just twenty-eight more kills… and I’ll get to you,” Titan muttered, his gaze locked onto the mental-type zombie hiding at the back, protected by its Tier 6 zombie guards.
With a roar, Titan charged forward, gripping the black mace in one hand, seeing his approach, the remaining Tier 6 zombies rushed in to meet him head-on.
Bonk!!!
This time, all it took was a single hit from his mace to send them flying, the impact ringing out with a sharp Bonk!, like magic, one hit was enough to pop the heads of Tier 6 opponents.
To the low-rank mages watching, it seemed like an illusion, but to the zombies facing Titan, it was a nightmare, they felt like an unstoppable mountain crashing down upon them anytime Titan striked, no matter how they defended, the sheer weight behind his strike was enough to crush them completely.
All Titan needed was one clean hit to the head, and considering that the black ice didn’t affect him the way it did his enemies, he was like a tiger leaping into a flock of sheep.
Strength-type zombies? Useless. Their hardened skin, once an advantage, meant nothing against the force of his strikes. Hunter-type zombies? Their reinforced exoskeletons? Cracked like brittle glass with just one hit.
The only ones that proved troublesome were the speed-type Tier 6 zombies, they zipped around him, leaving behind blurs and afterimages, chipping away at his ice armour and handguards no matter how much he defended.
But once Titan finished off the strength and hunter types, he cast an Ice Blizzard spell, forcing the speed types into its range.
The spell itself wasn’t overwhelmingly strong, but soon, they realized something far worse, once the blizzard passed, their bodies felt heavy.
At first, they tried to dash toward Titan again, still determined to wear him down, to chip away at his defences piece by piece until they could land a critical strike, but then, some of them glanced down—and panic set in.
Black specks of crystallized ice clung to their limbs, slowly spreading.
The more mana they used, the faster it spread, a few tried to claw it off, but their strength wasn’t enough to break it, to break it, they would require a very strong Tier 7 doing that.
Titan had sacrificed some of his mana to mix specks of black ice into the Ice Blizzard, and the agility-type zombies which had been caught in the blizzard were now dealing with the consequences, given that the black ice variant was attracted to mana, it was inevitable that each of them had at least one piece attached to their bodies.
During the blizzard, they had instinctively used mana to anchor themselves to the ground, but now that decision had backfired, as the ice spread further with every speed movement they made with mana, and their reduced speed made them easy prey for Titan.
They were still processing this realization when a streak of icy blue light flashed past the remnants of the zombie army.
In the next second, Titan reappeared, this time standing before the Type 2 Mental Zombie, in his hands, two blades of pure ice gleamed under the blood moon’s eerie glow.
The mental-type zombie trembled, not just from fear but from the sheer cold pressure radiating from Titan.
Behind him, the speed-type zombies he had just blitzed past stood frozen, literally.
A thin line of ice had formed around their necks, and before they could react, their heads slid cleanly off their bodies, no blood splatter, no grotesque display. Just a silent, icy execution.
Even though the mental-type zombie was a Tier 6 lifeform, it was just a Zombie commander.
Its offensive abilities were barely on par with an ordinary Tier 5 mage, so against someone like Titan, who had already slain over thirty enemies of the same tier, the outcome was obvious for it already.

For the first time in this battle, a smile crept onto Titan’s otherwise blank face, he wanted to savour this moment, slowly, he raised his right hand, the ice blade reflecting the crimson glow of the moon.
But just as he was about to strike—
A thin laser-like beam flickered across the battlefield, aiming directly at the zombie’s head.
Titan’s eyes widened.
Instinctively, he moved to finish off the mental-type zombie before anything could interfere.
Bang!
But a gunshot rang out a split second after the laser flashed, as a bullet tore through the zombie’s skull, blasting its brain matter all over Titan.
“Why, you…!!!”
Titan’s expression twisted in fury, his eyes burning red with rage as he turned sharply, in the distance, Legion stood casually, blowing the smoke off the barrel of his Sagittarius sniper rifle.
