The Golem Mage - Chapter 793
Chapter 793: Beatdown 3.
The zombie snickered, realizing that its attack had not only failed to kill Hive Queen it had also put it in a precarious position.
As if she attempted to restrict its speed again with such an array formation , it might struggle to break free a second time.
The Phase spell wasn’t something that could be used consecutively without a brief cool down, due to the immense strain it put on the caster’s body, those who hadn’t fully mastered it risked severe backlash if they used it consecutively, and that was exactly what troubled the agility-type zombie.
Luckily for it, neither Alec nor his golems seemed aware of this critical weakness in its earlier spell, but even so, they weren’t about to let the zombie kill Hive Queen under any circumstances.
“You pesky creation of mana…” the Type 3 zombie growled, glaring at Hunter, whose hooked left hand was still clamped tightly onto its bladed arm.
The next second, a powerful force yanked it downward, as Hunter had summoned his own golem minions, and they had latched onto his waist, amplifying his strength, with an enormous pull, the agility-type zombie was dragged out of the air, its bladed arm slamming straight into the ground.
BANG!
The impact left the zombie momentarily disoriented, before it could regain balance, Sword Saint appeared in a blur, using his right leg to smash into the zombie’s face with a brutal kick.
“You disgusting creation of dead consciousness,” Saint spat as he made a comeback to the mutated zombie’s statement.
But the agility-type zombie recovered faster than expected, and without hesitation, its left claw shot toward Saint’s neck, aiming to strangle him on the spot.
Meanwhile, the remnants of the green toxic flames continued streaking toward Hive Queen.
But at the last moment, Magneto arrived, gliding effortlessly through the air on his metallic surfboard, as he intercepted the flames, flipping the underside of his board toward the attack, and absorbed the toxic energy into the material.
The agility-type zombie, still keeping a side view of this, momentarily lost focus upon seeing its attack neutralized, that brief distraction was all Saint needed, with a flash of steel, he blitzed past the zombie, his blade slicing deep into its chest.
Though the mutated zombie had a durable body, but it wasn’t as abnormally tough as a Strength-type or a Hunter-type zombie, which had thick exoskeletons protecting their vital organs.
Moreover, its mana was still locked, preventing it from casting any spells or reinforcing itself, thanks to Hunter’s interference.
Meanwhile, Saint’s swordsmanship followed an extreme path, one dedicated to cutting through everything in its way, his blade sliced deep into the mutated zombie’s flesh, leaving behind a gaping wound with all of these variables added, yet it still wasn’t enough to bring the agility-type zombie down, as the wound was healing slightly.
At that moment, the zombie finally realized why its mana had been restricted, and with a quick shift, it reshaped its bladed arm into long, razor-sharp claws, allowing it to slip free from Hunter’s hook lock.
Without hesitation, it dashed straight toward Alec, ignoring the golems entirely.
The Type 3 mental zombie’s command echoed in the back of its mind, and that was to eliminate Alec at all costs.
Alec immediately recognized the sudden change in its behaviour, and he could already tell that the mental-type 3 zombie had issued a new directive, but that didn’t bother him.
Throughout the battle, he had been carefully observing the agility-type zombie’s combat style, taking note of its fears, weaknesses, and instincts.
Now, Alec was one hundred percent certain, killing it wouldn’t be that much of a challenge, by this time, he had already popped a Tier 6 healing pill into his mouth, and his chest wound was rapidly closing, the regeneration so fast that it was visible to the naked eye.
Then, right before Alec’s eyes, the agility-type zombie’s body twitched slightly—
In an instant, it disappeared.
Alec’s heart pounded as his right hand spun the Changdao, his bloodlust materializing and cascading around the weapon.
The energy was so dense that it transformed the blade’s silhouette, making it appear like a broad greatsword, with the extended portion formed purely from his killing intent Qi.
As he tapped deeper into this power, his crew-cut hair shifted in colour once again, with the top turning a shade of blonde-red, while the lower portion still burned with flickering black flames.
This time, however, Alec’s expression remained calm, as he twisted his weapon, the Changdao fully transformed, its aura intensifying as he bent his arm backward, positioning the blade behind his back in a defensive stance.
Clang!
Just a split second later, the agility-type zombie’s attack landed from behind, striking hard.

But due to the sheer width of the weapon, it successfully absorbed the impact, though that didn’t mean Alec escaped unscathed.
The force sent him sliding backward several meters, but he swiftly adjusted his stance, positioning his legs to skilfully absorb the shock, still, what truly allowed him to defend with ease wasn’t just his technique, it was the glowing runic tattoos now appearing across his body augmenting his strength further.
The moment they fully formed parts of his spirit equipment set started to appear, and a flash of red light burst outward, in the next instant, Alec was fully clad in the Infernal Mantle Set.

Alec wasted no time. Without hesitation, he drove the Changdao deep into his own chest.
Those unfamiliar with this technique gasped in shock, unable to comprehend what he had just done. Even the agility-type zombie, despite its enhanced instincts, froze momentarily, its expression shifting slightly in confusion, but that was a grave mistake.
A few seconds passed, and the zombie finally realized something was wrong, the blade that had sunk into Alec’s chest hadn’t emerged from the other side.
“Playtime’s over,” Alec declared, his fiendish aura surging outward in a violent blast, his eyes ignited, one burning with pitch-black flames, the other glowing a blazing yellow flame.
