The Golem Mage - Chapter 804
Chapter 804: The Team’s Progress 1.
While the Blood Moon War in Estonia City seemed to be drawing to a swift conclusion, the same couldn’t be said for the other cities under the Northern Kingdom, as across the region, the attacking forces of the second Dimension had only intensified.
In the capital city, the Ancient Marionette Clan led the defence of the southern gates, facing an assault from vampires.
The battle had raged on for quite some time, and various high-tier clans under the Marionette Clan’s command had joined the fight at that side, however, the vampires found themselves at a slight disadvantage
Due to the fact that the Ancient Marionette Clan didn’t engage directly, instead, they sent forth their puppets, most of which lacked blood, making it difficult for the vampires to feed and recover.
Fortunately for the vampires, not all their opponents were from the Marionette Clan, other mages on the battlefield provided a source of nourishment, allowing them to regain some strength, while one might assume that fighting against a clan like the Marionette Clan would significantly weaken the vampires, they weren’t a race that relied solely on blood to maintain their power.
In truth, they were formidable warriors, and they demonstrated it by swiftly maneuvering through the battlefield, tearing off the heads of careless Marionette Clan members who failed to realize they had been marked as targets.
But this wasn’t just a battle to gauge the Marionette Clan’s strength, it was also about a particular woman Beatrice Marionette.
Ever since her return to the clan, her mother had done everything in his power to push her into the clan’s core ranks in secret.
After her performance in the inter-academy competition, the Marionette Clan had become more determined than ever to nurture her, since then, she had either been confined to intense indoor lessons with the elders or sent to the clan’s most secluded areas to cultivate in isolation.
They spared no effort in nurturing the potential they had seen in her during the battles she fought under the banner of the War God Academy, in fact, they had even planned to transfer her to the Royal Mage Academy, keeping her closer to home so she wouldn’t have to endure the hardships imposed on the War God Mage Academy by King Charles of the Northern Kingdom.
However, Beatrice made it clear that they were not to interfere in her affairs, as if they tried to control her too much, she warned, she would leave the core area entirely and being a princess that can’t be forced against her wishes, her threat was enough to make the Marionette Clan elders reconsider their approach.
So Instead of forcing her, they reached a compromise, that if she remained in the core area, they would provide her with the best cultivation resources to help her reach a higher realm as quickly as possible.
At first, she refused their assistance, insisting she was capable of progressing on her own, but the elders found a way to trap her in their plans. They began using Alec as an example, planting the idea that if she didn’t accept their help, the gap between her and Alec would only continue to grow.
For Beatrice, who had already noticed the widening gap between them, the argument struck deep.
In the end, she agreed to their training. That day, the Marionette Clan elders were truly grateful for Alec’s existence, his name alone was enough to motivate their young mistress.
It soon became a common tactic for them to invoke his name whenever they wanted her to push her limits during training.
Behind it all was the Matriarch of the Marionette Clan—Beatrice’s mother.
Though Beatrice remained unaware of her influence, but she did notice how the clan elders have always treated her exceptionally well since she was a child, she had always preferred staying in the inner area, as even the outer ranks wouldn’t dare to accept her due to her status as the child of their leader.
But now, the elders had finally succeeded in bringing her into the core area to train, and it had all been made possible because of Alec’s name.
The child born out of wedlock to the Matriarch never experienced motherly love.
She was kept at a distance because her grandfather’s wishes, the Ancient Grand Elder, refused to let his daughter, the Matriarch of the Marionette clan, care for a child who lacked a father from a powerful clan.
As a result, Beatrice grew up within the Marionette Clan but never fully had a family love and was cared for by lots of servants.
Yet, the elders who knew her true identity as a member of the main family’s bloodline always showed a biased favour toward her.
As time passed, her talent for puppetry became evident, but even then, her grandfather refused to acknowledge her as his blood, despite her mother’s repeated appeals, however, after the inter-academy competition, everything changed.
It was the Ancient Grand Elder himself who ordered that the little princess, still unaware of her true lineage be brought back into the core area and trained alongside the clan’s elite young mages, though in private.
Now, after undergoing rigorous training, Beatrice was finally stepping into the world, with her first real exposure being the Blood Moon War.
She walked gracefully from the gate, heading toward the mid-rank battlefield, particularly where the Tier 6 mages were fighting.
Many noticed her immediately, it was as if she were simply taking a casual stroll through the battlefield.
Her cold beauty was striking as she moved elegantly in her clan robes, the family emblem proudly engraved on her back.
To her right stood the Flaming Swordsman puppet, exuding a powerful Tier 6 aura, the air around him was scorching, yet not a single wisp of heat touched Beatrice his control over his energy was immaculate.

On her left was the Wooden Spider puppet, also radiating a low Tier 6 aura.
Strapped to its back was something that resembled a coffin, the craftsmanship of the wood, with its intricate engravings, made it clear that whatever was inside was of great significance.
With Marionette Beatrice stepping onto the battlefield, those from other clans under the Marionette couldn’t help but wonder what was a Peak Tier 5 mage like her doing at the front lines of the Tier 6 battlefield?
They had at least expected her to stay at the back and command her Tier 6 puppets, but Beatrice wasn’t like most members of the Marionette Clan.
“Now! Let’s see just how much stronger we’ve become,” she declared, stepping directly into the chaotic battlefield.
Three mid-rank noble vampires immediately turned their attention to her, upon seeing her cold, breath-taking beauty, they became intoxicated, their hunger sharpening as they lunged toward her, eager to taste what they imagined to be the sweetest blood they had ever encountered.
