The Golem Mage - Chapter 818
Chapter 818: Clan Upgrade.
It took a mere thirty minutes, but the three golems completed their evolution into the Tier 6 realm, finalizing Alec’s main squad of golems as fully Tier 6 realm experts.
Just the thought of fighting in the Blood Moon battle again filled him with anticipation; as he felt this time, he would not only have a bigger impact but could also potentially end the Mid Tier battle faster and transition to the High Rank battlefield to provide support with ease.
Alec took a moment to admire his newly evolved golems, Hunter hadn’t changed much, except for the fact that the edges of his iron armour were now glowing with a blue hue, resembling some kind of LED lights.
In a peculiar way, Hunter emanated an even more dangerous aura, while the ten iron golems beside him resembled smaller versions of Hunter, with the exception of the left-hooked hand, as they mostly welded broad swords and had a long iron chain strapped to their waist.
As for Magnito, Alec was at a loss for what to call him, perched on his surfboard made of whatever metallic substance gave it flight, was a now fully dressed Magnito.
Ever since he had created Magnito, he’d always taken on a humanoid shape, but with no visible outline of clothes or armour like the rest of the main golems did at the early stages, and where genitals should’ve been, there was simply a smooth, blank surface.
Only his face had ever been carved into that ever-shifting body of liquid steel.
But now, there was a noticeable difference. Magnito sat atop his floating surfboard, his body cloaked in what looked like a shimmering, liquid-metal robe made from the same mercury he manipulated.
Even though mercury was one of the sharpest, deadliest substances he could control, the cloak billowed weightlessly behind him, making him look more like a superhero than a golem.
Alec was certain that blank spot below was still there, but honestly, he was just glad something finally covered it now.
Sometimes he questioned if his golems were truly evolving in the direction he intended, especially with how often the system took the reins during their evolutions.
Still, Alec shoved the thought aside, focusing instead on the ten minions clustered around Magnito, each one was a human-shaped mercury golem, and the sight alone made Alec quietly curse his luck.
He’d just been feeling good about Magnito finally having his blank spot covered, only for ten more of them to show up, looking exactly like the old Magnito, the only difference was that they were shorter, had no silver surfboards, and even fewer features.
No eyes, just mouths and noses formed on their mercury faces, giving them an eerie, unsettling look.
Alec couldn’t tell a single one apart and briefly wondered how Magnito would even recognize his leading minion among them.
But he didn’t dwell on it too much, as he figured it probably came naturally to Magnito.
After all, these were golems created with him as an origin point of focus, no elder’s guidance, no manual, just his body construct and the system’s step to step lesser imitation .
Still, Alec admitted he didn’t fully understand these liquid-type golems, especially with their strange manipulation abilities.
Now that Magnito had stepped into the Tier 6 realm, Alec hoped to learn more by watching him battle, for a moment, he even considered visiting the Second Elder of the Gordons Clan, the only known specialist in liquid-shape golems.
It was tempting, since the man’s knowledge could save him a lot of trial and error, even maybe help him understand liquid golems’ strength more.
But Alec shook the thought off as quickly as it came, his grandfather had always warned him about the Second Elder’s reclusive nature.
The man wasn’t exactly fond of guests, and ever since losing his daughter during a Blood Moon battle, he’d withdrawn even deeper into seclusion.
It wasn’t worth the trouble to trouble a man still grieving, and that is why the patriarch had taken his son under his wings.
“Well, what the hell are you all still standing around for? Get out there, join your lot, and earn back my points! I’m running on fumes after all I spent!” Alec snapped, waving them toward the second gate of the beast forest.
The three of them moved without question, vanishing through the door and leaving the chamber in a still, peaceful silence, one Alec found himself savouring as he leaned back and casually popped a pill into his mouth.
Bang!
A violent explosion burst from within the moment the pill reached Alec’s stomach, like a dam collapsing under the relentless pressure of a raging river, that was exactly how it felt. Every bone, muscle, and fiber in his body tore apart and reformed in split seconds as the storm of energy inside him spiralled out of control.
He coughed up a mouthful of dark blood as his aura surged, growing stronger by the second.
Alec silently thanked the stars he hadn’t attempted this breakthrough in the real world, if not his entire house would’ve been reduced to rubble from the shockwaves alone.
Black and crimson flames coiled around him, while his skin shimmered with an earthy brown glow, giving him a weighty, immovable presence.

Like that, Alec fought his way through the chaotic storm of his ascension into the Tier 6 Mage realm.
He’d been holding himself back for far too long, though his limits had been reached, but he kept delaying it, waiting for the right moment.
But now that he’d finally unleashed it all, he realized just how much power had been pent up inside him, the torrent of mana flooding his body was unlike anything he’d experienced before.
—
While Alec battled his breakthrough within the Amulet World, chaos stirred in the Gordons Clan’s inner region, not chaos in the form of literal flames, but something just as disruptive, as over nine hundred something mages were breaking through at once.
It was like a state of emergency for the Gordons clan elders, who hated unnecessary stress and complications.
None of them could have predicted a day where so many breakthroughs would happen simultaneously.
The sheer number of cultivators ascending caused the mana density in the entire Gordons inner region to spike unnaturally high, transforming the inner region temporarily — into a perfect haven for cultivation.
In the midst of the chaos, the Gordons Clan elders were forced to step in, as the clan estate Golem Spirit alone wasn’t enough to mask the overwhelming surge of breakthrough auras erupting across the estate, so the elders scattered to key points around the territory, casting restriction spells.
One after another, the spells connected, weaving together into a massive, shimmering brown array above the entire Gordons Clan land.
The enormous formation floating above their compound was bound to stir suspicion, as anyone who saw it would start wondering what was happening behind closed doors, but the elders didn’t care.
Let them be curious, suspicion was a far safer thing than letting the truth of how that many mages were breaking through slip out.
“Where’s that boy Alec in the middle of all this mess?” the First Elder grumbled, feeling the strain more than any of the others.
“Quit whining, you lazy old fool, still trying to dump everything on the younger generation already? You should be ashamed,” the Grand Elder shot back with a scoff.
“Well, you know this would’ve been the perfect time to have him around, someone’s gotta tally up all these new Tier 6 mages, and I sure as hell know it won’t be me,” the Third Elder added with a sly grin.
“Slacker,” the Grand Elder muttered, shaking his head.
