The Golem Mage - Chapter 832
Chapter 832: Auction 6.
After the second round was won by the Lanzt clan, the previously bustling crowd fell silent again, waiting for the next big reveal.
But Alec had already rolled out two rounds which were dominated by his own items, successfully building the excitement he had aimed for, now the crowd of mages was far too hooked to leave or get pissed if he brought out lesser items.
At this point, Alec decided it was time to bring out the other items that didn’t belong to him, like the low-rank spirit armours crafted by the Gordons’ forgers who were still learning the art, although Alec didn’t want the Gordons mages using these armours themselves, it didn’t mean he thought they were useless, which was why he decided to auction them off on behalf of the mages who created them so they could at least get some joy seeing how sorted out their creation was.
The way Alec structured it, they would collect magic crystals for these products, with the profits shared between the mages who forged them and the Gordons clan for providing the required materials.
But these weren’t the only things Alec planned to show off in what he called the magic crystal rounds.
When he announced the auction, many lone mages had reached out to the Gordons, asking to have their items included, and Alec made an agreement with all of them, which is the Gordons clan taking a fifteen percent cut from whatever was sold.
Most of the lone mages agreed, leading to the start of the magic crystals stage, where Alec opened the bidding for all the submitted items one by one in a rush, it was an eye-opening scene for the Gordons, showing them a new side of doing business.
Normally, these items wouldn’t have been worth much, but Alec handled it skilfully, asking for magic crystals, openly naming some of the owners to add some flare while keeping others anonymous, since some mages preferred to stay unknown to avoid raising questions about their treasures or attracting unnecessary attention, and the crowd didn’t seem to mind.
For many of the mages who hadn’t been able to compete with the top clans of the Estonia city for the top-tier goods, since few of them could easily slay Tier 5 or Tier 6 lifeforms, this stage gave them a chance to show off their wealth when these more accessible goods opened up.
And like that, almost thirty items were auctioned off in what Alec called the third round, each item going for way above market price.
Alec’s smooth tongue and crowd control had drawn them in so much that many were now just showing off to the clans that had participated earlier.
At the moment the third round finished, the Darkbliss Patriarch was losing his mind, thinking all the good items had been swept up in the first and second rounds, he was starting to feel deep regret, until Alec spoke:
“Okay, now the magic crystals round is over, back to the main items of the day, which only corpses are accepted for.”
As Alec’s words echoed through the hall, many who had been waiting and regretting not bidding earlier sighed in relief, even they could hardly believe they were feeling relieved about needing to use corpses to bid again.
But from what they could tell, the goods that required corpses for bidding seemed to be of the highest quality as they had come from Alec’s system but the crowd of mages didn’t know this they just felt this was the Gordons exclusive goods.
And like that, the two female mages assisting Alec went backstage to bring out two tables each, as the four tables were rolled over, they were positioned on either side of the stone pillars, clearly not in a rush to take them back—as they began to unveil what lay beneath the clothes.
Four different Tier 6 Spirit Equipment sets were displayed, two on the right, two on the left side of the stone pillars.
Seeing such a setup, the crowd, who thought they had seen enough, held their breath, their eyes almost popping out in disbelief.
Now, a simple question burned in everyone’s mind, where and how had the Gordons managed to get such treasures?, And if they were auctioning off such equipment sets, what kinds had they kept for themselves?
These thoughts swirled through the minds of the mages as, from time to time, glances were sent toward the Fifth Booth, where the Gordons Patriarch sat.
“Even if I have such a thick skin, I never expected things would turn out like this, this Grandkid of mine actually used the Gordons Clan as a front to auction off such great treasures that should have been kept within the clan’s treasury,” the Patriarch almost looked as if he was about to cry staring at those four equipment set as he sent a mental message to the Grand Elder, who was sitting in the booth with him along with the other Gordons Elders and even Terran.
That was why he had used mental messaging, as he didn’t want Terran to hear what he had to say. Alec had already made it clear that he was using the Gordons Clan as a front to sell these things.
He had also made it clear to his grandfather that his teacher was not responsible for him learning this specialized profession, after Alec lied about possessing such skills, his grandfather had been happy, even suggesting Alec teach the novices in the clan.
Alec had quickly dismissed the idea, claiming he was busy with other matters.
Since his grandfather believed him, he wasn’t too worried and remained completely unaware that Alec wasn’t the one truly creating these treasures, nor did Alec feel any need to expose the existence of the System, he figured that when the time came, he would find another excuse.
For now, he was just happy to have the Gordons bearing all the attention of the auction’s success, as he knew that no matter what investigation was conducted against the Gordons, they would never find anything, because there were no master alchemists nor master forgers among them. Just Alec and his System.
“Why are you whining like a little kid? Have you forgotten what Alec has done, and the number of mages who now have full body Spirit Equipment sets after that blood moon war, with a corresponding Earth element no less?”
“He made it clear that the auction was essential, not only to build relationships but also to give us a good image among some clans that are worth it, especially after the City Lord spent so long trying to ruin our reputation in the dark.”
“Imagine how hard he’s pushing to get this done, and he also mentioned that the auction isn’t only about building relationships or putting the Gordons out there, but because he needs all of this to increase the strength of the clan, so why don’t you just enjoy the results this brings?”
“Besides, we both know Alec always comes up with his ideas and he always succeeds, you had also already given him full control over the outer region,” the Grand Elder sent back another mental message.

“Yeah, that was all because I wanted him to see how hard it is to manage the clan, but he’s clearly doing way better than I intended,” the Patriarch shrugged.
From the side, Terran could already tell that these two old men, who were so close, were having a conversation, though he couldn’t tell what it was about.
All he knew was that every time he thought he had seen the peak of this auction, Alec would introduce something else that surprised him and made him wonder just what secrets this clan had been hiding, as this wasn’t things that even a newly promoted High Tier Clan can be in possession of yet here they were treasures being auctioned away by the Gordons a Mid Tier clan.
They had just laid out four full Spirit Equipment sets, not just a single piece of equipment, but full sets that could link up with a mage, and it was baffling him greatly why no one knows this clan that can produce such genius younger generation members and still have such treasures.
These were highly sought-after commodities, and for some mages, this was the first time they were even seeing a full equipment set, let alone four at once, and just when they thought it was over, Alec walked up toward the stone pillar…
