Chapter 94: [94 – The Plan in Making]
“I am saying that I know how you feel,” Blake did not believe it. This was perhaps Asher’s way of trying to comfort him. Blake remained seated on the chair, unmoving, unblinking as Asher stood up and stepped closer, “because I know. I have gone through a similar situation as yours, so I know.” these were the last words that Asher spoke to him before walking away.
That was the moment when Blake raised his head to look at Asher who just then walked out of the room. He could not believe, even though Asher sounded really genuine, but Blake could not believe that he had been in a similar situation as his.
Blake knew about the Grayson, Sullivan, and Thompson families and though the Sullivan family did suffer a tragedy years ago where Asher lost several of his family members but that was an accident, a tragedy by God’s will. It did not have any human involvement and surely did not involve any torture and exploitation as Evelyn had suffered.
He wanted to chase after Asher and argue with him, ask him how and when in the world did he experience a situation like he was stuck in. But Blake chose to remain quiet. He chose to stay where he was right now, in this room at a place whose location he did not know, captive, and quiet.
This time he had definitive and substantial proof to punish the actual culprit but unlike the last time, he was not going to run after Katherine, blinded by rage like he had done when he thought that Elijah was the one responsible for Evelyn’s death.
No, this time he was not going to run directly into the storm but plan, plot it, and then make his move. He was not going to rush in like a fool especially when he now knows that Seraphina is not a simple woman as he had assumed her to be.
Not only did Seraphina manage to escape the accident that he had planned for her, she managed to easily defeat him in that fight even though she was injured, then she brought him here, and waiting for him was Asher Sullivan who was more concerned about Seraphina than Elijah.
There was something going on between these three families and this Seraphina Vale that he had no idea of but Blake was determined to fight out what it was.
Unlike the previous time, he let the doctor treat his wound, did not object when the doctor touched his wounds, did not flinch or even made a single noise and he was distracted by the plan formulating inside his mind.
“You would need stitches for several wounds so I have to put you under anesthesia.” the doctor said making Blake look up at him with expressionless eyes. Before Blake could say anything, the doctor shook his head in negative and said, “Do not tell me that you do not want to be put under anesthesia as well. Are you going to have me stitch all of your wounds when you are conscious?”
Blake’s eyes flickered with the little piece of information. It was not hard for him to connect the dots and realize who this person about whom the doctor was talking about.
Stitches without being put under anesthesia? It was not easy at all. Even the thought of it had a shiver to pass through Blake’s body. The fact that Seraphina was able to do that told Blake about how strong this not so simple woman was. She was something else entirely, so far away from what he had thought her to be.
“It’s alright. Put me under anesthesia.” Blake knew that he could trust these people for now. If they wanted to they would have finished him right away and not asked any questions. But they did. They had the hance to kill him once they were done answering his questions but Blake was still alive. This meant only two things – one, they needed him for something which Blake was not sure about what it was. Or two, they were trying to keep him out of this whole matter, which Blake was not going to follow.
The doctor then instructed the guards to help him put Elijah in the makeshift hospital ward where he could put Blake under anesthesia and treat his wounds. While the others followed as they were told, Blake put all his focus on planning what he was going to do.
This time he planned on going straight after Katherine. Knowing that he would not have enough time now and that after he wakes up he would need an escape plan, Blake decided to make it short and simple.
Kill Katherine Grayson.
Give her the most torturous death possible. He had a few ideas about it like burn her alive, or dump her in burning hot oil, and so much more. The last thoughts that swirled in his mind were about how melodious Katherine’s screams would be when he would finally be able to punish her and bring justice to his dearest Evelyn.
Blake did not care if he dies after doing so. He had no other reason to live so he was going to welcome death with open arms and a wide smile on his face. It did not matter if he would go to heaven or hell but wherever his soul would go, Blake knew that if he ever got to meet Evelyn there then he would be able to meet her proudly, he would finally be able to look into her eyes and tell her about how he took revenge for her, about how he got her the justice that she deserved.
Lying down on the bed, Blake gave into the effects of anesthesia, his head and eyes feeling heavy while the rest of his body felt relaxed. A small smile curled upon his lips as Blake finally lost consciousness, succumbing to the gentle embrace of darkness.

The next morning, Elijah was the first one to wake up. The first thing that he did was go to Seraphina’s room and check upon her. She was still asleep, snuggled under the comforter looking absolutely adorable. He then checked her bandage and there was no blood spot on it, so he let Seraphina sleep and exited the room.
Elijah then went to the kitchen and busied himself in preparing breakfast for the two of them. Ignoring the multiple missed calls and unread messages on his cell phone that he had received from his family members, mostly from his father, Elijah concentrated on preparing a light and healthy breakfast for Seraphina and himself.
While he made a cup of espresso for himself, for Seraphina though, Elijah decided to make freshly squeezed orange juice with all the healthy pulp to give her the nourishment that she needed right now.
With practiced ease, Elijah moved around the kitchen, humming the tune of a favorite song. With Seraphina, and at her place, her felt happy and was able to relax no matter how hard the situation was. He was still concerned about Mia but the last text that he had received from Amelia told him that she was awake and out of danger,
That was enough.
Also, Elijah was not ready to face her yet. He had thought that he would be the first one to visit her when she wakes up but Marcus’s words continued to swirl in his mind like a mantra being chanted repeatedly.
The revelation that Mia had feelings for him, romantic feelings, that she loved him made him feel nervous and unable to face the woman who was his best friend.
It was really an awkward situation, and Elijah needed to talk to Seraphina about it first. He wanted to let her know about Mia’s feelings before going to meet Mia, he wanted Seraphina to know that even though Mia was in love with him but he only had feelings for Seraphina. That there was only one woman who had that kind of place in his heart and it was reserved for Seraphina Vale.
No other woman can ever, never ever take the same place in his life, his heart, mind and soul that Seraphina had.
Elijah just did not want any kind of complication to arise in their relationship. A small and simple misunderstanding can cost a great deal in a relationship that is based on love for it is like a delicate thread in its initial stages, can easily break. And that was not the risk that Elijah was willing to take.

Focusing his thoughts back on Seraphina, Elijah prepared a simple vegetable sandwich for her with cucumber, carrots, tomatoes and onions. He also prepared a plain omelet and made a mixed fruit juice instead of a plain orange one. He added apple, oranges, pomegranate, and some berries in the mix that would blend well and taste nice too.
Plating the whole breakfast on a tray, Elijah carried it to Seraphina’s room where the love of his life was still asleep, “Wake up, my sleeping beauty.” he placed the tray aside before sitting beside her on the bed.
Weaving his fingers through her hair, Elijah repeated gently, “Hey beautiful, see what I got for you.”
