Chapter 581: Entering Miriam’s Soul World
The concept of manipulating the soul is a dangerous one. In fact, souls, if not well protected, can lead to the downfall of even immortals and gods. Souls are the foundation of one’s life.
Many might even call it the core of a being…
The idea of creating a soul is not something to be taken lightly.
Klaus would have to use his soul and consciousness to enter Miriam’s destroyed Soul World and recreate a new one for her using his cultivation.
Essentially, Klaus would need to sacrifice his cultivation base in exchange for his life force. This life force would then be used to create a new soul, which, in essence, means giving life to her.
But it’s far from simple.
To do this, Klaus must be at the same cultivation base as the one he is about to help. If not, he risks losing all his cultivation base. It’s a risky thing.
His life force increases as he breaks through to higher realms, so if he were to give it away, he would automatically become weak and eventually lose everything.
But Klaus is not like everyone else.
The current him embodies seven Sovereigns in a single body. This means every one of his seven Sovereign Cores can be used. He is not like everyone else.
He is a monster.
“How can I help?” Old Lu asked. He had once caught Klaus going through some of the monastery’s secret books, and from what Klaus was reading back when he was known as Fruity, it was about souls.
Naturally, as monks, they knew more about souls. Old Lu had explained some things to him back then, but never in his wildest dreams did he think he would ever have to put that knowledge into practice today.
It has been thousands, if not millions, of years already…
“Since her soul world is destroyed, I will be entering an unknown world. This means that the moment I enter, I will lose access to my body. If I fail, I won’t be able to come back.
That means if Miriam dies, I die with her. So I will need an anchor—someone to link me to this plane—and since you are an expert on souls, I will need you to become my anchor,” Klaus said before turning to the ladies in the room.
He walked closer to his mom, who still had teardrops on her face. He wiped the tears away before planting a kiss on her forehead.
“I will save her, Mom,” Klaus whispered to her.
Miriam had become someone akin to her own daughter over the past month she had spent with her. They did things together and talked about many things all day. So, while she may not be her real daughter, she was someone she could not afford to lose.
“I believe you, Klaus,” she said, hugging him tightly. Klaus rubbed her back gently before moving to his ladies, who were all looking at him with expressions that conveyed one thing: ‘Please save her.’
“It’s alright, Queenie. I’ll take it from here,” Klaus said, pulling the teary Overlord away. She had been using her soul energy for the past hours, ensuring her sister remained alive while she waited for a miracle.
After discovering that she could never remember her blood relatives after 24 hours as a child, she resolved to cherish everyone around her and never let go.
She hated her childhood, especially the memories of making her mom and twin sister cry every morning. This was why she couldn’t lose Miriam, her sworn sister who had saved her life 15 years ago.
She pulled away and immediately passed out. Klaus laid her down gently, then walked over to Miriam’s unconscious body and pulled out his phone.
“What are you doing?” Lucy asked, but the answer came the next second.
Klaus took a picture of Miriam’s aged body with a smile on his face.
“Why did you take a picture of her, Klaus?” Lulu asked, raising an eyebrow.
“How else am I going to tease her when she wakes up?” Klaus smirked, making everyone in the room look at him with eyes that conveyed one thing—beatings.
But they would save that for after everything was over.

Klaus sat on the bed and hugged Miriam from behind. Old Lu sat behind Klaus, their backs touching.
“I will start now, Uncle Monk. No matter what, don’t pull me out. Since I’m linked to you, I can come out anytime,” Klaus said, and Old Lu nodded.
Old Lu felt very happy at that moment. Somehow, he remembered his past life up until his death, and while that part of his life had been painful, the time he spent with Klaus brought him great joy.
Klaus may have been a brat in his fourth incarnation—and still was—but he was also one of the best gifts the monks had received in years. Although over half of them had died in the end, they held no regrets, Old Lu included.
So, while he may have died, he wouldn’t hesitate to die again if it meant saving Klaus. He practically raised him, making him something of a father figure to Klaus.
“Don’t worry, I know how important this is for you and everyone… I won’t do anything that will jeopardize that,” Old Lu said as he closed his eyes.
Klaus did the same, and they both began chanting the same words, which immediately activated a spell circle on the bed. The moment it appeared, Lulu, who had a strong attachment to the soul, was the only one who saw what happened.
Klaus’s soul left his body and stood in front of Miriam. At the same time, a string shot from Old Lu’s soul and latched onto Klaus.
That was the anchor that would keep him connected to the physical plane. If it broke, then he could only stay in Miriam’s soul and pray he managed to create a soul for her so she could bring him back.
He turned and winked at Lulu before entering Miriam’s body.
The moment he appeared in Miriam’s soul world, Klaus felt all the air being sucked out. He gasped for breath as the air kept vanishing.
[Use your energy to create a vacuum around you. This space is basically a void. You can’t breathe here like on the outside, so use your energy to create a vacuum around you]
The senior spoke, and Klaus did as he was told. Immediately after he did, he could breathe again. He looked around and saw only shattered heavens, lands, rivers, and everything else.
“How powerful is the weapon used to attack her?” Klaus asked. He just couldn’t understand how something could destroy a soul to this extent.
[I can’t tell until I go to the place where the weapon was used. But I can say for certain that whatever was used wasn’t something simple… It also looks like it’s not from this world.]
“Not from this world?” Klaus took in a cold breath as he gazed into the distance, where he could see a small part of Miriam’s soul world that still looked intact.
[Let’s talk about it after you leave here. You don’t have much time here, and you are vulnerable here, too, so you’d better hurry up.]
“Okay, senior.” Klaus moved, and soon, he was nearing the space. However, when he was just a few meters away, he froze and gazed at the old lady sitting with a sword in her hand.
It was Miriam, but she looked different…
“Klaus, is that you?” Miriam asked. For a moment, Klaus hesitated, but then he answered…
“Yes, it’s… I have come to take you home.”
Miriam looked at him and then sighed. “You can’t. My soul is destroyed beyond repair.” His expression was someone who had accepted her fate
Klaus could see it; Miriam knew she would die even before she defended Nadia…The look in her eyes said it all. She was happy with her current situation because she had accepted this outcome.
‘But how?’
