Chapter 588: Bold Declaration (2)
While the words were spoken from thousands of miles away and people were just watching on their phones, everyone broke into a cold sweat upon hearing what Klaus said.
It was a bold declaration but one that left everyone wondering if what they heard and felt was the reality coming in two days.
“You know, sometimes, I just don’t understand how an entire family will resolve to come after a single human who isn’t even an Overlord. I may have disciplined their child, but it was a duel, and I had to win.
But here we are, and as shameless as it can be, two Legacy Families, three great clans, and a loser faction calling themselves the Dark Order also choose to join the alliance, so what, they can finally kill me?”
“Hmm… I don’t know about shamelessness, but I know I wouldn’t be prolonging this battle between me and them.
They attacked my family while I was away, and that, if there was ever a chance for us to talk this out, is now gone.” Klaus’s eyes were staring daggers into the camera.
“They attacked me and my friends while we were on a mission at the academy, but I chose to chalk that up to them being desperate. But they dare attack my mother and woman? I won’t swallow that.
Thankfully, the Overlords won’t interfere, which works well for me. So I, Klaus Hanson, officially declare that in two days, I will arrive in Union City and promise that within three hours, if I don’t erase these so-called alliances from the face of the earth, never take me seriously again.”
Klaus’s words were arrogant yet coldly spoken, making many think that perhaps things aren’t as simple as they once appeared.
“You know many will think the Overlords not interfering would be bad for you, especially since your Overlord friends wouldn’t be able to come to your aid,” KKK said, probing for more clarification.
“Nari wouldn’t do that… I mean, she hasn’t done anything yet, so you should rest assured she won’t interfere. But I don’t think I should be the one asking for the protection of the Overlords.
I don’t see any way out for this alliance. Thankfully, all innocent citizens have been evacuated. So, in two days, I, alone, will arrive in Union City.
It will be best if the Northern Union picks a new Legacy Family, for one will soon be gone from the face of the earth.”
KKKickinIt stared at Klaus and could tell he meant every word he had just spoken. This made her start to think that perhaps, in two days, something shocking would happen.
“Like I said, in two days, only I will be matching there. I have no plans on bringing anyone else… not even my friends. So the Alliance should be happy because, in two days, they will come close to killing me but won’t succeed.
Also, to their soldiers currently watching, you have two days to decide whether you want to face me or live. In two days, everyone gathered to face me will die. I won’t spare anyone, so make your decision.”
Klaus looked at KKKickinIt and smiled.
“Thank you for coming, KKK; though this wasn’t the ideal news one would love to report, however, since you helped me, I will help you get an interview with at least one Overlord. And if you work fast, you can build your fame from there.”
Immediately, Klaus said that, and he vanished from his chair, shocking everyone.
The next time he appeared, he was inside his room, where his ladies and friends quickly rushed in.
“You really aren’t taking us with you?” Anna, who wanted to show off her abilities, asked with a pout.
“No… You ladies shouldn’t take part in this useless battle. In the coming weeks, when the Moonborns arrive, we will be going on dangerous missions so you all can prepare for what is to come.”
“What is to come?” Lily asked. Everyone waited for an answer.
“I can’t say for now, but all I know is, soon, something bad will happen, and if we are not prepared, this world will cease to exist. Now, I am not saying this so you can despair; I am saying this so you can prepare.
You all are sages now and have awakened powerful elements, but can you boldly take on a Transcendent or even an Ascendent? The answer is no, but you can learn to fight them. So, after this stupid battle, we will start preparing.”
Klaus turned to Queenie.
“I have cleared the 31st floor of the dungeon, and you were right; there is indeed a portal that leads to the ancient ruin, but it will open 7 months from now.
So, you can go inform the Overlords… Also, tell them I want to have a meeting with them.” Queenie nodded with a smile.
Klaus then turned to Hanna.

“Take Kathy and everyone to Stone Valley. After the battle, I will join you there. It’s time we have a family vacation,” Klaus’s mom smiled upon hearing that. She wanted that, but for now, her focus was on Klaus’s hair, which had grown too long.
“You guys are included, but you must bring your girlfriends. I don’t plan on staring at your faces all day. These eyes only look at beautiful ladies.”
Daniel and co rolled their eyes. Klaus had become powerful, but he was still the same Klaus. However, they didn’t argue. Klaus had already made it clear to them that he wouldn’t be taking them with him…
“How about sister Nadia?” Luna asked. Though she and her sister aren’t one of Klaus’s women, they are equally family, so they are in the room with them.
Klaus’s mom had already started working behind the scenes for them. Had it not been for them, she would have been dead by now. Because of that, she started working to make her son recognize them.
Shameless mother… shameless son.
“You ladies should leave this evening. Nadia will come out the moment you leave… She is still blaming herself for what happened, but I will talk to her.”
The ladies nodded and scrambled, leaving only Klaus and his mother.
“Are you sure you don’t need their help? They have been training very hard so they can fight side by side with you,” Klaus’s mom asked.
“This battle is not something I want them to dirty their hands with. In fact, if they hadn’t attacked Nadia, leading to Miriam and you nearly dying, I wouldn’t have even responded to any war declaration from them.”
Klaus sat in front of his mother, who started cutting his hair.
“You are just like your father. He was all about doing risky things. I’m sure one of those risky things got him killed… I just don’t want you to become too much like him,” Klaus’s mom said calmly.
“I won’t do anything risky, Mother. I left all the risks in the dungeon.” Klaus smiled as he let his mom work on his hair. He wouldn’t deny her that.
“So, are you finally going to make your girlfriends your women?” Klaus’s mom asked, making Klaus turn and look at her strangly.
“What… I am your mother… It’s normal to ask questions like this,” Klaus’s mom smiled.
“Nothing is normal about this. You’re just too shameless for your own good.” Klaus’s mom landed a smack on the back of his head, making Klaus smile.
“And yes… I have kept them waiting for too long.” Klaus wasn’t about to hesitate anymore. Klaus’s mom smiled and already began planning to gossip with the ladies.
“What about Hanna?” she asked.
“What Hanna and I have is complicated, but I do plan on making her my woman. I’ll wait for her to come around. For now, we’ll remain brother and overprotective sister.” Klaus smiled, knowing he and Hanna were much more complex than they appeared.
After a while, she was done with his human hair. “When you’re back, I’ll handle your elf hair and whatever form you have aside from that.” Klaus’s mom gave him a wink before leaving.
For a moment, Klaus could tell she knew about his other form—the Unknown form.
But how?
A few hours later, everyone was gone. Even the maids and guards left for their vacation at Stone Valley, leaving Klaus behind.
“You can come out now… Nadia.”
