Chapter 612: Asha’s Secret (2)
“What are you smiling at?” Asha asked, looking at the smug expression on Klaus’s face.
“Nothing. Just looking at your cute little face makes me want to cup it and never let go,” Klaus said, making Asha glare intently at him.
“You clearly aren’t saying everything. Spill it,” she said, making Klaus scoff.
“You were the one who wanted to show off your amazing secrets. I’m like a guest here, so why do you expect me to know everything?” Klaus replied, then turned to the forge again and started scrutinizing it.
He could hear Asha gritting her teeth behind him, but he enjoyed making her mad. Asha was rather unruly, so he knew if he were to let her, she would clearly rub her achievements in his face.
He wasn’t giving her the satisfaction. This only seems to irritate the little insect queen…
“You do know that without my permission, you can’t leave here, right?” Just when Klaus was feeling smug, Asha spoke, making him turn slowly toward her and smile.
“I was just messing with you, big sister Asha,” Klaus said, changing his tone immediately. He knew the brat before him wouldn’t hesitate to leave him there, and as she said, he would be stuck.
Klaus had no authority there. The whole domain is under her authority, so if she indeed wanted, she would leave him there for as long as she wanted.
[Looks like you finally found someone you can contend with.] The senior even sounded amused when Asha threatened Klaus.
‘I’ll be sure to punish her soon,’ Klaus smiled and then decided to reveal the true nature of the forge.
“Basically, this forge will allow you to forge seven different kinds, or let’s say, seven different categories of insects. Now, know that these categories exist in the outside world, the universe. However, this forge will allow you to forge them from your own design.
Right now, this forge is dormant. It will require some sacrifices and rituals to awaken. One of those rituals will be for you to form a soul bond with it by putting your blood on it.
The second will reveal itself to you when you finally become my woman. As for the last, you will need the blood of an Ascendant insect-type beast, monster, zombie, or human.
Of course, the monster or beast must die by your hands before their blood would work…
When these things are fulfilled, you will receive instructions on how to use it.”
Klaus smiled and cupped her cheeks. He moved closer and kissed her. When pulling away, he bit her lip, drawing blood.
‘Tastes yummy,’ Klaus said to himself, savoring her blood. The blood was rather sweet when he tasted it.
He could swear the taste overwhelmed him for a moment there, but he didn’t give in.
He used Asha’s fingers to clean the blood and then pressed them against the forge. It vibrated a couple of times, making Asha smile.
“That is the first awakening. The rest will show themselves later. Now, why don’t you show me your army?”
Asha nodded and led him away. The next stop was a green field where, in the distance, Klaus could see a huge mountain with a large cave in it.
“Asha Alpha, come out!” Asha shouted, making Klaus raise an eyebrow.
‘Did she just call an Insect Monster Asha Alpha’ He wondered, looking toward the mountain.
The mountain shuddered immediately. The next second, a large, dark Ant monster with eight legs, a colossal head, a long and thick antenna, and six eyes as red as blood lining each side of its face appeared.
Its height was around 70 meters, and from the look of the carapace covering this monstrosity, it would probably be hard to break.
It moved, and within a few seconds, it was within range. Klaus squinted his eyes, and from just looking at it, he knew the monster race name and its evolution potential.
“An Obsidian Dark Carapace Ant, huh? Not bad for a rookie,” Klaus smirked, but he was impressed.
The ant before him was one of the colony’s most aggressive types of ants. Just one could cause great calamity on the battlefield due to their hard defenses and destructive abilities.
“Yes. This is Asha Alpha. She was my best friend from the moment I awakened. When I became a Great Sage recently, Asha became a Transcendent, but she hasn’t evolved yet. I don’t know why…”

“Obsidian Dark Carapace Ants are carnivorous in nature. She probably needs to eat a lot of Tier 9 monsters or beasts.
Eating them would speed up her evolution, else the moment she reached the Tier 10 stage, she could not evolve into a beast anymore
Of course, if she were to eat her children, that would also speed up the process,” Klaus suggested, but from the look in Asha’s eyes, he knew that wasn’t going to happen.
“Asha Alpha doesn’t like that. We don’t eat family,” Asha said, making Klaus smirk again.
“I can give her my blood, which will help her evolve much faster, but she must work for it. Since she is the colony’s queen, becoming a beast will affect her progeny.
Meaning the rest of her children will become beasts when they ascend to the Transcendent stage. This is the power of my bloodline. The moment I give it to her, it will affect all those she gave birth to.
By the way, how many children does she have?” Klaus asked. Since Asha seemed to treat her like a person, he didn’t mind doing the same.
“Asha is my first Contracted Insect. However, I didn’t make her a breeder; instead, I made her into an Alpha. So for now, she has 18 children, and they are all Peak Sovereigns.”
“Wait, what?” This time, Klaus was taken aback.
“18 Peak Sovereigns? Are you telling the truth?” Klaus asked.
Asha smiled and puffed her chest out. She then snapped her fingers, and from where Asha Alpha came from, 18 similar ants appeared, each a Peak Sovereign (Tier 8).
“No way. You really do have the strength to go against the Alliance,” Klaus said, patting her on the head, but Asha swiped his hand away.
She clearly didn’t like Klaus patting her head like she was a kid…
“I didn’t want quantity; I was after quality. So, I made sure Asha Alpha bred only once every three months. This way, instead of using her strength to breed thousands, she could use that strength to amplify her own cultivation.
“This was also why the academy didn’t allow me to participate in duels. In insect cultivation, instead of going after monsters and beasts to form contracts with, you just need one ant, and the rest is history.
Not even the instructors could handle me if I were to compete.”
“This is awesome. I am really proud of you, Asha,” Klaus said, kissing her lips.
“Oh, I’m not done. You see, after I got Asha, she took me to her enemy colony, and despite the danger, I got another ant. Then I got yet another when I came to the academy, and one was just three months ago.
“Now, I have three Queens and a King who is at the level of an Overlord.”
“What…?”
