Chapter 669: Arrogant Simp
Today was meant to be a day of celebration, where the Earthlings would welcome the Moon Borns. There should have been merry-making, with drinking and toastings for better days ahead.
That was the ideal structure for how things should have proceeded.
Yet, an arrogant-looking young man outright disregarded the presence of two Void Stage experts and 22 Ascendants and directly challenged the innocent-looking Klaus, who was simply minding his own business.
Naturally, that is blasphemy against the heavens.
But then again, Klaus and the heavens aren’t that friendly, so this is just blasphemy toward the seniors around them.
However, even after a minute had passed since he issued the challenge, nobody said a word. Klaus was the same; he just stood there, watching as a sneer appeared on the bastard’s face.
“Why, are you scared?” he asked, causing Klaus to raise an eyebrow.
[Ohema, who is this clown?] Klaus asked his woman, who was doing her best not to slap the bastard trying to pick a fight with her man.
⟦He is one of the seven generals in the Moonlight Army. He is arrogant, and he is angry at you,⟧ Ohema said, almost giggling out loud.
[Let me guess, he wanted to take you as his wife, but I beat him to it?]
⟦Yes. And he isn’t the only one. It’s just that he is the impulsive one.⟧
[I see. So he is just an arrogant simp who thinks he can what, kill me and take my wife?] A smirk appeared on Klaus’s face.
He most certainly wouldn’t mind slapping him silly. But today isn’t a day he can just go around slapping people.
He looked at the arrogant bastard in the air and a smirk appeared on his lips.
“Hello there. Be a lamb and crawl back to where you came from. Today is a day for celebration, and I don’t want to ruin it by offering your blood and life as a sacrifice.
Your blood is too dirty to be used that way. So go back and challenge me again tomorrow. I won’t hesitate to send you to the afterlife.”
Klaus just disregarded him and decided to focus on the triplets everyone wanted to ask thousands of questions about.
“Tsk, what was I even expecting? I knew humans are cowards; I just never realized they have no spine, too,” the simp in the air said, and all the warriors who heard him drew their weapons.
Klaus, who was about to flirt with the queen and her daughters, narrowed his eyes at the bastard.
“On second thought, killing you will make today memorable.” Klaus turned to the Moonborns hovering before them.
“I know today was meant to be a blissful day, but I will be killing one of your best today. I hope it won’t affect our alliance,” he said, and the 14 Ascendants, Ohema, and her mother couldn’t find words for such a statement.
They all could tell Klaus was angry, and he meant what he said. The bastard is dead.
“Very well, I will take your silence as a green light to end him,” Klaus said, and his eyes turned red, instantly plunging the entire space into an icy, cold, dead feeling.
All of a sudden, the entire space started turning ice with the ground and buildings freezing.
The Overlords and war gods around felt their heartbeats slow down.
“Since you want to die so badly, I will grant your wish,” Klaus spoke, and for a moment, nothing happened.
Then, from up in the clouds, thunder rumbled, and a giant sabre appeared from the clouds, bathed in golden lightning.
It moved at an incredibly sharp speed arriving in Klaus’s grip instantly. Though he was about to kill a bastard, he also had to show off a bit.
Taking out the sabre from his space ring like the others would look subpar. So he had to make it look dope.
The moment Klaus’s hands touched the hilt of the sabre, the whole space shook, and then he rose to the level of the bastard who was now quaking in his boots.

“Are you ready?” he asked, looking coldly at the bastard, who was visibly shaking.
To many watching, Klaus’s eyes merely looked red.
However, to the bastard, who was now shaking, he could see a terrifying face looming behind Klaus, exuding an aura of despair.
Just staring into those red eyes was enough to kill his warrior spirit.
“Well, I am waiting. Mr. Draw your weapon and let’s fight. Killing you while your weapons are sheathed is not something I want to do,” Klaus said, raising his Saber at the bastard.
Sword qi and intent burst out of it, adding more menace to the already overwhelming presence of danger.
Klaus’s aura of slaughter and intent of the same nature was enough to make even Queenie and her Mother narrow their gaze.
The presence coming from Klaus, even without him knowing, had started affecting even Void stage expectations.
So the arrogant simp was like a baby in front of him. He was shaking like a massage chair.
Slowly, he retrieved his weapons, but they instantly fell from his hands when a terrifying red skull suddenly appeared in the air.
In fact, his legs were shaking as he stared at the red skull.
“You can die now,” Klaus muttered, and then with a step, he was in front of the bastard. He swung his sabre, which was coated in red energy.
The sabre went for his neck, aiming to kill him as easily as he could be.
However, before he could sever it, a hand grabbed his sabre, stopping the attack. Klaus looked and saw Queenie holding the sabre.
“Let him go,” she said, pulling back the sabre.
Klaus’s eyes immediately turned from red to gold, dissipating the dreadful energy that had just appeared.
He looked toward the bastard, who was now being supported by Queenie from falling from the and turned around.
“I will be leaving first. But let this be a warning to you all listening. This is Earth; we are all one big family.
You are now part of this big family, but let it be at the back of your mind. You may have the highest number of Ascendants or the largest number of Transcendents.
But that shouldn’t give you the right to look down on us. Trust me, when I am angry, you won’t like me.
So take this as my warning. The next time, not even a Void Stage expert can save you.”
Klaus snapped his fingers, and space cracked open. He cast one look toward Queenie and her sister before walking through.
It closed behind him, and that was how Klaus welcomed the Moonborns, who, for the first time in their lives, would learn that aside from the terrifying monsters on the moon, there was another monster here that could not be provoked.
“Haha, what a welcome ceremony. There is no need to look down; Klaus is just at that stage. Every teenage boy easily gets annoyed.
He is actually very sweet when you get to know him,” Old Lu said, trying to salvage the situation.
Luckily, his cheeky words lightened the mood a bit. Queenie, who had some explaining to do to the people of Earth, used the chance to finally get the welcome party to fully embrace their new allies.
Meanwhile, Klaus, who, in an attempt to make a classic exit, chose to use the void, now appeared in a Tier 7 Forbidden Zone.
Well, more accurately, he fell into a Tier 7 Forbidden Zone and was immediately attacked by a Tier 9 beast.
